Shout out to Dr Zach Casagrande and the doctors (Drs Bibona,Barcoma and Robb) and staff (special thanks to Nicole, Logan, Skylie and Bernie) for taking such excellent care of Maddy for her orthodontic care. They are THE best around; from the moment you walk in until the final product, it is first class all the way. Even after owning 8 practices I am blown away at the level of care and attention to detail everyone there provides. Can’t recommend or thank them enough for taking care of our family. I have had one appointment an NVO so far, so I can not give a full experience, but I love it here! The staff at NVO is so nice and they make you feel welcome and they actually care about you. The braces don’t hurt at all and I’m excited to see my teeth when I take them off. When I was getting braces, I wasn’t excited at all, but the staff made me feel so much better, and they were very nice. I also appreciate the fact that they follow the COVID protocols very well. They switch out gloves everytime they touch something new, and they sanitize everything! They also make sure that you are only taking off your mask when needed. Plus free Starbucks yum! I can’t wait for my next appointment! Overall, this place is great and I love going to the orthodontist. Thanks Dr.Casagrande!

The initial consultation was extremely informative and the staff provided various options to choose for treatment along with various payment and insurance benefits. The staff members are tremendously helpful with understanding the details of the treatment plan for each individual and they are outstandingly friendly. Checking in, making future appointments and confirming appointments are a breeze. Has been a fantastic experience with NVO for my first child so far and look forward to having my twins come through NVO in the future!

My twins are relatively new patients at NVO.  I can’t say enough good things about the office and our experience.  The entire process is so thoughtfully planned….from the game room for the children while they wait, to the tooth brushing station for your arrival, to the complimentary Starbucks!  Each NVO employee we encountered was kinder and more helpful than the last.  My children (including one who is normally anxious at the dentist) didn’t want to leave.  Dr. C very clearly explained to me why he chose each aspect of their treatment plan…..in easy to understand terms.  I wish all our medical providers were this nice of an experience!!

Have you ever been afraid to see the orthodontist? Have they ever told you that you weren’t the right candidate for invislign? Then maybe you should visit Dr. Casagrande at Northern Virginia Orthodontics, and be prepared to have one of the best healthcare experiences ever. These guys deserve 6 stars out of 5. Seriously, this guy and his team are good. Did you know that Dr. Casagrande is one of the leading invislign providers in the world? I think he’s actually in the top 1% in the country!! I saw just as many adults in his office as I did kids, and everyone seemed to be all smiles. I went in because I had some crowding in my lower front teeth, and I was experiencing some pain im my jaw from TMJ. I thought maybe I could get a retainer to straighten my teeth out. After I went in, they took a lot of pictures and did some complex x-rays of my mouth. Then, they pulled up a computer program that simulated how my teeth COULD look if I decided to pursue Invisilign. I was amazed. I had gone in thinking that there were just some minor issues, and was shown that my smile could be improved tenfold, not to mention they would fix my overbite and protect my front teeth from grinding at night. I decided to do the invislign and had a fantastic experience with amazing results. The whole treatment was actually very affordable, and was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. All of my teeth are now perfectly straight, and I get compliments on my smile often. The experience was so much less painful than what I’ve heard it can be with braces. Dr. Casagrande and his team really know what they’re doing, and they take the time and care to make sure your smile ends up PERFECT. An added bonus is that you can whiten your teeth with the invisilign trays, and they also serve as a mouth guard to protect your teeth from grinding at night. Northern Virginia Orthodontics are so good they can take patients that are often turned down at other orthodontists. I had my father come in to see them after he was routinely told by other orthodontists that he would need some major work that could only involve braces. It’s been around five months since that first visit, and he’s now happily wearing invisilign and showing tremedous progress. The ENTIRE staff at Northern Virginia Orthodontics is talented, smart, genuine, and as nice as can be. They really get to know you, and are genuinely happy each time you come in. I found myself actually looking forward to all of my appointments, and sad when it was time to leave. In the hustle and bustle of today’s world, it’s rare you get treated with as much genuine kindness as you do here. This is exactly how a healthcare provider should be. They do absolutely everything right, from their superb practice to their outstanding customer service. I cannot recommend Northern Virginia Orthodontics enough!

For years, I had always suffered from sore and stiff muscles in my neck and upper back, and assumed I would have to live with the pain. I thought it was chronic stress from computer work, but within a month after starting my invisalign treatment, one day I realized I had no more pain! I was shocked that after all those years, it was due to the need for dental straightening/bite treatment! I highly recommend the expertise of, and excellent care at Northern Virginia Orthodontics. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr Casagrande and the entire practice. My son has just about completed his treatment and I expect that my daughter will be starting in a year or so. I have complete confidence in the advice and recommendations that we get from NVO as we are always given options and alternatives to any treatment. Amazing staff and doctors. I saw Dr. C when he first opened for my consultation and compared him with other Orthodontists in the area and none of them came close. All the staff are very knowledgeable and professional and will go above and beyond for you to be comfortable. Appreciate at the help over the years.

Absolutely great experience. All of the doctors are very experienced, skilled, and very personable. All of the offices I’ve been to have been very modern and comfortable. All of the visits, quick and efficent. As someone who has been looking forward to getting Invisalign for many years, my experience with the entire process has been extremely satisfying.

Having completed my own orthodontic treatment (including Invisalign) at NVO, I knew we would be in good hands when we returned for my daughter and son’s treatment. Though she was nervous to learn she would need an expander and then braces, my daughter was immediately put at ease by the caring and professional staff at NVO. Dr. Casagrande took care and ample time to explain exactly what to expect from her treatment plan and, as was the case with all the staff, had a great rapport with my children. The office is bright, clean and welcoming and my kids love the game room and photo booth. Having experienced another orthodontist in North Carolina and leaving unsatisfied, I can tell you that Dr. Casagrande and the staff at NVO are second to none. I would highly recommend this practice.

So I am ALMOST done with my treatment here at NVO. I am pretty much wearing the last two sets of trays to keep my teeth aligned until I get my implant (I was missing a permanent tooth from when I was born and the baby tooth finally fell out) from an oral surgeon in. Although I am not 100% done I am pretty happy with the results so far. My smile looks so much better than it did. There is still one tooth that I think needs a little more movement which I am hoping looks great after these last two trays. Dr. Casagrande assured me if I wasn’t happy with it to call and he would do another scan of my teeth for another refinement to make sure I was happy. Once I have the implant done I will go back for my final retainer. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Casagrande’s practice. I loved the office, the staff, the process. Every employee was nice 100% of time. I certainly would recommend NVO! I imagine Dr. Casagrande will still have business from my family in the future if my kids are like me and have crooked teeth. I don’t think I would even consider any other orthodontist for my kids when they are at the age of needing an orthodontist.

Both my youngest daughter and I have had terrific experiences with Dr Casagrande and all the staff at NVO. They are very customer-friendly and go the extra length to make sure their patients are comfortable and happy. Dr Casagrande helped us navigate a problem with my daughter’s bite for which another orthodontist was recommending a very invasive surgery. With Dr C’s advice and insight, we were able to avoid the surgery and now, 2 years later, she has finished her treatment with a gorgeous smile and perfect bite. I myself started with Invisalign at NVO 6 months ago and am so pleased with the changes to my smile so far! I highly recommend Dr Casagrande and all the staff at NVO!

After about 2 years, my son is getting his braces off!! We had such a good experience that I wanted to share. When we first came in, I was skeptical that such a beautiful, well-staffed office (with a free Starbucks bar inside!) would offer affordable braces. But, Nova Ortho provided the fee schedule and we checked with our dental insurance and it was comparable to the other Orthos we consulted in the area. But, the best part was how friendly, welcoming and patient everyone was with our questions and difficulties scheduling with a school and hockey schedule. The technicians are fun and interesting to talk to. I’m really going to miss them. Sometimes their upbeat and friendly natures were just the thing we needed to change the trajectory of our day. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. It would be my first choice, if we had to do this again.

As a high school teacher who works closely with his students and their parents, I can’t help but be attuned to virtually every facet of the kids’ lives – from the sports they play to the shows they’re in to the health care they receive. I have been hearing about Dr. Casagrande (the Ortho God!) for a good many years – and now my ears are filled as well with constant kudos for Dr. Barcoma, Dr. Robb, and Dr. Cole…but they’re just the shining tip of the proverbial iceberg. The extraordinarily modern, immaculately clean Northern Virginia Orthodontics (NVO) facilities are teeming with smiling, bright, highly efficient treatment coordinators; dental assistants; office managers; even genuinely friendly, charming baristas (who serve your free Starbucks to order)! It’s important to me that the families whose kids I teach get their children the best health care possible – and in NVO they are getting that and more: in a too busy, too impersonal world, patients are treated as family in “Casa Casagrande” – orthodontists remember kids’ soccer scores, TCs recall seniors’ specific college aspirations, the front desk will ask if the math grade is still coming up… These pros remember personal details because they choose to – and because they care! As professional as NVO is – and you will not get better ortho/invisalign treatment anywhere else in the East – every single NVO individual {from Jenn and Nicole and Casey behind the scenes and in front of their patients to Lisa and Jill and Jess and the rest in the trenches one-on-one with their charges} is determined to get their patients the best treatment plan imaginable and the best ortho care to go with it. This organization is devoted to service, to making each patient feel he or she is the only patient in the office, and to providing unparalleled health care. I hate it when kids have to miss one of my classes for any reason; but when one brings a note that says “Dentist appointment,” I always check to see if NVO is involved. Since it usually is, my response is immediate: “This time you’re excused with my blessing, because you’re getting the best health care on the planet.” And then I often add “Thank your parents for showing their love by taking you to NVO.”

Fabulous experience! I decided to get Invisalign as I didn’t wear my retainer enough as a teenager and my teeth had shifted quite a bit. I was scheduled to take about one year but was able to complete it in about 10 months. Everyone was super helpful and friendly every time I had an appointment and the entire process was great. The office is modern, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this office for children and adults as they have braces and Invisalign available. They even gave me a bottle of Prosecco when I finished my last set of retainers!

Our experience at NVO has far exceeded my expectations! They always do an amazing job of putting my 7 year old daughter at ease during her appointments and every single member of the staff goes above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. Dr. Casagrande is the best at what he does and his credentials speak for themselves, but even more importantly, he takes time with each individual patient to make sure they understand their treatment and next steps. He not only spends time providing explanations in terms that I (as the parent) can understand, but also makes sure that my daughter knows what is happening every step of the way and he very kindly and patiently answers ALL of her questions, which can be a lot – ha! Additionally, the office is beautiful, it offers the perfect combination of modern decor, cutting-edge technology, and personal touches throughout that can be appreciated by both the kids and parents. We absolutely LOVE this practice and would highly recommend to anyone seeking orthodontic treatment. I just cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Casagrande and his amazing staff. All three of my children will definitely be coming back to NVO, as every aspect of service this office provides is absolutely unparalleled!!!

Northern Virginia Orthodontics is absolutely the BEST! So impressed from the initial consultation right trough to the retainer process. Appreciate that when you set and appointment they are on time. All office staff are professional and extremely friendly!!! Every time you enter the office your are greeted by staff. Staff is extremely knowledgeable. They provide you all the information you need to be successful. Highly recommend checking them out.

EDIT 8/27: After my review below, I was very impressed with the response. It wasn’t just what was messaged back but the fact that they took action so quickly and changed their procedure to free up the congestion in the waiting area. You can now check in from your car and not have to go in until your assistant is ready for you. Thank you NVO! I was hoping to find somewhere on the website where I could submit a comment or suggestion privately but did not. I have been going here for 2 years and the doctors and most of the staff are wonderful but this is my second time going while covid measures are supposed to be in place and I don’t feel safe at all. The first time I had an 8am appointment. I waited for 20-30 minutes in the waiting room because they didn’t have a private room available. The second time I had a 920am appointment. When I walked in the waiting room was extremely crowded in the hallway and inside.. There were probably 10 people milling around. I also had to wait for about 20 minutes and I saw two people that came in after me get called in first. Nobody was up front to meet me to walk me straight into my appointment. You would think that you would have something in place where people can check in from their cars and get called in when they are ready for them. Parents should either attend their kids in the treatment rooms or wait in their cars. Staff have masks on but I don’t notice anything else special like face shields or protective eye gear.

We extend the highest compliment and recommendation to Dr. Casagrande of Northern Virginia Orthodontics and his staff. We are completing phase II of braces and we can’t say enough positive things about the level of customer service, care and compassion our 11 year old is receiving. The quality of care is second to none. We specifically would like to compliment Bernie, Clinical Lead, for the wonderful job she does every time we are there. She is an asset to the practice and we cannot say enough wonderful things about her.

I would like to thank Dr Casagrande and his team for doing an excellent job. I was in my late 50’s when I decided to have my teeth straighten and my dentist recommended Dr Casagrande and am glad he did. To be honest – I was ashamed to smile because my teeth were so crooked. I did not think it was possible to straighten them using Invisalign and in a little over a year they are in excellent shape – and am happy to smile. One of my front teeth was at about a 45 degree angle – it is almost perfectly straight now. Again – I think the approach – the team – the professionalism has left me knowing I made the right decision in having Northern Virginia Orthodontics help fix my teeth and SMILE! I have recommended others to visit with Dr Casagrande.

I just don’t know if I have ever had a better customer service experience than at Dr. Casagrande’s office. You know I don’t think I have! The office is lovely and always busy but I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. And during that 5 minutes there is plenty to occupy you. You can get a cup of keurig coffee (with GOOD creamers!), surf the internet or check email at the computer bar or play video games in the game room with your child (my personal favorite). The staff is so professional and so friendly, they all seem to sincerely like their jobs. It’s a casual environment and most of the staff knows you by name by the second or third visit. Doctor Casagrande has a terrific chair-side manner and always engages my kids in conversation. He remember what sports they play and their interests. He is just a good guy all the way around. As far as the orthodontic care, they are very thorough in evaluating treatment and explaining it to you. I just looked through my sons photo history and WOW they have done an amazing job with his teeth! If I sound like an advertisement for Dr. C and his office, it is rightly deserved. I took the time to write this lengthy review out of sheer appreciation bc there just aren’t enough businesses run THIS WELL! Zappos, yes def on par with Zappos:)

Wait a second–this place has amazingly kind and knowledgeable staff, massage chairs during treatment, AND free Starbucks?!! This is a whole lot different from getting the bands on my braces changed as a kid. They even gave me a welcome gift (!!!) Is it possible that I’m actually looking forward to coming back to an orthodontist? Yes, yes it is.

The staff is so wonderful here at Northern Virginia Orthodontics, we felt so pampered and taken care of! Everything from the easy check-in, to the kids’ waiting area with games, free Starbucks was just icing on the cake. I had lots of questions and hesitations walking in, but the well-versed coordinator explained everything and showed us a video that made my son so excited about getting braces!! It was the easiest decision, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with choosing this practice.

I originally went to Dr. Casagrande because of a teeth chipping issue that my dentist noticed. After looking at x-rays and pictures, Dr. Casagrande explained that it was actually the shape of my mouth causing this issue. He recommended orthodontic treatment to correct it and steered me towards Invisalign because of my profession (sales). I’ve been in treatment for a little over a year and I am blown away by the difference in my smile! I didn’t think that I would get nearly the correction that I have. While the treatment has been awesome, the staff has been even better. They are friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be around. I typically don’t post reviews, but I couldn’t resist in the case of NVO. I highly recommend the practice!

I recently completed my Invisalign treatment at NVO and could not be happier with the results! Dr. Casagrande and his entire staff are not only friendly and warm but they did everything to make sure I had the best possible treatment. I am so happy with my smile now and highly recommend NVO! Northern Virginia Orthodontics seriously just gets it! Not only do they offer the BEST orthodontic results in the area but their customer service is unlike anything I have experienced (they are even better than Nordstrom!) I completed my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Casagrande a few years ago. I had previously had braces as a child and as an adult my teeth shifted from not wearing retainers. I had done my research on Invisalign because at the age of 21 there was no way I was going to wear braces again– Dr. Casagrande was the first name that came up. I did my research, I was not going to go through orthodontic treatment without knowing I was in the best hands possible. Dr. Casagrande is a Super Elite Provider for Invisalign making him the top 1% in the nation for Invisalign treatment (could it get any better?!) I was SO excited to go in for my first appointment; it was so easy. I called the office and the front desk was so friendly and answered any preliminary questions I had on how the appointment was going to go. I was able to fill out my medical history form online which for millennial’s is huge. The initial consultation was very informative and I got to see other patients who had similar issues to mine and their end result. I couldn’t believe my eyes I wanted to get started right away! I was a little concerned about finances since my dental insurance didn’t cover orthodontics for adults but their prices were competitively priced and their Treatment Coordinator went over different payment options that made it very affordable for any budget! I started with Invisalign that day and the orthodontic assistants explained every step of the way–letting me know at each appointment what we were doing that day and what to expect during treatment. Every single individual in this office is so welcoming, friendly, and genuine. My orthodontic treatment was completed in just under a year and I was SO impressed and happy with the end result. My smile was perfect and they gave me whitening to use to make it even better! I get compliments on my smile every where I go and I always say its all because of Dr. Casagrande and his amazing team! I have referred family members, friends, and strangers to this office and each of them would agree that this office is the best of the best not only for getting a perfect smile but for their customer service every step of the way. NVO is THE place for Invisaling. I completed my treatment in a shorter period of time than originally expected, and my teeth turned out great. The doctors and staff are extremely professional, friendly and I have to admit I enjoyed going in for my visits. The experience here far exceeds any other clinics I have had. I knew this place was special when when left after our first consultation and my son couldn’t wait to go back to start treatment. Wow! Was I dreaming? That was almost two years ago, and the practice continues to be one of our most favorite places to go. To begin with, the staff is beyond friendly, super attentive, and get this … they really seem to love their jobs! From the front desk staff, to the wonderful hygenists (such as Kathy and Susie), our treatment coordinator, Lisa, and of course, Dr. Zach and Dr. Nelson, we honestly feel like family when we walk in the door. The office is high tech and welcoming, and offers a fun room for the kids to play race car games, while the adults get to sit and sip a cup of freshly brewed coffee while enjoying the cool tunes streaming into the waiting area. The experience is so civilized and enjoyable that I secretly wish NVO would be running late once in a while so that I could enjoy it all for a few more minutes. But alas, in the two years we’ve been visiting NVO, they have always taken us on time. Drats! From a technical perspective, Dr. Zach and his staff are at the top of their game. They have reduced my son’s overbite from dramatic to non-existant. The change in his school pictures from 2nd to 3rd grade was remarkable thanks to NVO. I was so thrilled to see my son feeling happy and confident with his smile that I could have cried. Everyone has commented on the beautiful change, and our pediatric dentist even told us what a fantastic job Dr. Zach had done with my son’s teeth. And if this practice couldn’t be any better, they are also strongly committed to community service and serving those in need. NVO is a role model for how businesses should use their clout and reach to do good for others. The team is constantly out on the weekends and after hours to support local charities, schools, fundraisers, and in particular, causes that help children. I only wish that all businesses could show this kind of leadership in the community. And while there are scores of other orthodontic practices much closer to our home, we drive over 30 minutes to get to NVO because they are so special. We have referred numerous other friends nearby who are thrilled with NVO and happily make the same drive. So, if you are looking for an orthodontist and want the best of the best, you won’t find anyone better than Dr. Zach and NVO. You’ll be thrilled with the results, and you and your family will feel really good about going there. Just be prepared that you’ll enjoy it so much you may not want to leave…

I have had two kids go through treatment at NVO and I can’t think of any experience that didn’t EXCEED my expectations. From the initial appointment, front desk, billing, follow ups, “emergency” appts  for broken wires etc…..to removal and follow ups. You have to check out his Invisalign Center!  I can’t think of a better run business. Dr. Casagrande and his team are top notch. I’ve told others that if he was President, all would be right with the world!  I truly believe that! (; He and his team remember your kid’s activities and interests and never seem to have an off day. Going to appointments almost always has you running into a friend or neighbor.  Almost makes you wish they would run a little behind so that you could catch up over coffee provided in the waiting room. Top notch business with beautiful results!  No need to consider any other Orthodontist!

The staff here is always so great! Dr. Casagrande is so warm and genuinely engaging with the kids. He makes every visit feel like he’s a family friend. We’ve taken two of our kids here and are completely happy with our experience. They have a game room and coffee in the waiting area. Located above Johnny Rockets.

Our 13 YO son’s experience with Invisalign is going great. DRs. Casagrande and Barcoma are great as are the rest of the staff. NVO offered very good pricing and also offered a special if the Nats won “it all” …and the NATS did. We were glad to take NVO up on the offer but we went with them because they were very knowledgeable, professional and kind. Highly recommend! NOTE – our son has very crooked teeth. Every other orthodontist told us that our son had to have conventional braces. This office did not and told us why Invisilign would work for him.

Dr. Casagrande and his team are the best in the DC area!  Both my daughter and I have gone through treatments here, and the results – and service – are always top notch.  Lots of fun perks to keep kids engaged and their staff is always top of their game.  Can’t recommend them highly enough!
