I have been a patient at Northwood Dental for over twenty years and I’ve found Dr.Thomas and Dr.Taple have consistently displayed exceptional knowledge, advanced treatment, and pleasant sincere professional care that has surpassed my expectations. Furthermore, I cannot say enough words of admiration about the entire professional support staff that makes each appointment an excellent stress free personal experience.The location is convenient for the metro area, exceptionally clean, modern, and impressive. I highly urge anyone looking for a great dental experience to give Northwood Dental a call and make an appointment. I’m confidant you will be impressed.

All of the staff at Northwood Dental are friendly and professional. They take the time to not only explain the procedure they are going to perform- but allow questions to be answered if I have any. Covid protocol is excellent and I highly recommend their services to my family and friends.

The whole group is so friendly, I just love Dr Thomas. I have been going to him since he started his practice. I felt very safe with the way they are handling this virus issue. I have and will continue to recommend Northwood dental to anyone that needs their service.

I switched to Northwood Dental a little over a year ago as my former dentist no longer worked with my schedule. I have been here four times (two cleanings, one cavity, and one chipped tooth) and every single time I have left thinking it was the best dentist I have ever been too. They get you in and out, not in a bad way like they are rushing you, but in a way that they know you have other things to do and don’t want to spend unnecessary time at a dentist office. The office is clean, welcoming and up to date. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are flexible with appointment times and if you are in pain or have another issue they can usually get you in same day. I hate going to the dentist and typically have anxiety about it for a good week before I go, now I still don’t like the dentist (I don’t think there is anything that can change that) but this is hands down my favorite one I have been to.

Since Covid hit I have not had insurance and was reluctant to schedule an appt. when the office contacted me and described the “Simplified dental plan” I was delighted. I scheduled one and to be honest was a little nervous. My last routine cleaning (18 months ago or so) was less then exciting. I arrived and was invited right in. My dental technician (Stephanie) greeted me, took my temperature and invited me back to the station. In 30 seconds I was no longer nervous. Stephanie was fantastic. Interesting, fun to talk to and did an outstanding job all the way around. Thank you!!

I have been going here for a few years and I love this place!  Dr. Thomas and all the hygienists are wonderful and caring.  The place itself is peaceful and the people at the front desk are really outstanding, too.  I appreciate that they seem to be running right on time but I think next time I’ll purposely come early so I can just relax and read magazines!

Northwood has an exceptionally comfortable atmosphere, all staff are professional, personable, and very detailed in the work they do.  My visit was extensive, I had excellent pain management, the dentist was very detailed and incredibly skilled at what he does.  I would recommend anyone who wants to be handled with respect and care when requiring dental care go to northwood.

Dr Thomas and Assistant Kelly are both very friendly and easy to talk with (except when their hands are in my mouth). They communicate well and are sure to educate me about what’s going on. They offer a super clean environment with a nice window view too! I Highly recommend going to them.

I always have the best time here. Everyone dislikes going to the dentist, but here I can actually relax, the hygienists are extremely nice and patient and relate important information back to me in a professional manor. I LOVE Dr. Thomas hes truly an amazing guy! super funny, laid back and fun to talk to and genuinely cares for each patient. HIGHLY recommend this place. It is also beautiful on the outside and inside! have a very peaceful view while sitting in the chair!

Prior to my visit to Northwood Dental today, I had been seeing the same dentist elsewhere for 40+ years. Needless to say, I had some apprehensions whether a new dental office could meet my needs. My visit this morning exceeded my wishes. I was overly impressed with their focus on health, especially managing Covid-19 protocols. The staff (hygienist, dentist, and office) were very professional, attentive to my needs, and active listeners. As a new patient, I could tell they took extra care to get up to speed on my specific needs. I couldn’t be more pleased!

I enjoy going to Northwood Dental for check ups and teeth cleaning as its always a pleasant experience. The staff are professional yet friendly and very respectful. I especially like Dr. Thomas as he is very good about explaining any issues that may occur and he listens to my concerns. He won’t do any work that is not necessary and will try to preserve your natural teeth as much as possible. Thumbs up to this dental clinic!

A great group of people from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. Even though my appointment was at end of the day, not rushed at all. I recommend Northwood to anyone looking for dental care. Have been going there for 27 years and even though have moved 125 miles away, will be making the drive…worth it!

Amy made my trip to the Northwood Dental an excellent experience. She was sensitive, careful, and answered every question I had. Of course a trip to Northwood Dental would not be complete unless Dr. Thomas did his evaluation. Dr. Thomas is an excellent dentist. Professional, caring, and always has answers for any concern I bring up. Another great experience at Northwood Dental, I give them my highest recommendation. These dentists are the most considerate and gentle and thorough around town! They actually care about you! They are all fantastic! Highly recommend this place- great views of the woods looking out the windows in each exam room too!!!

May 2021 —I had an office visit with a new hygienist. She was very nice, and I told her I have sensitive teeth. She cleaned my teeth ultrasonically, and that was great. I will ask for that from now on! The staff was nice and courteous, and of course-Dr. Thomas is the best, he listens and will give a couple options. We together make a game plan! I’m very happy with this practice and again I tell people when ever someone needs a Dentist— to go to Northwood Dental!! Sue Berg

Dr. Thomas was my dentist for the 13 years I lived in the Twin Cities. He helped me get the smile I always wanted using Invisalign. 🙂 Him and his staff are professional, trustworthy, kind and knowledgeable. And the office is absolutely beautiful — very well kept and clean, and set among the most beautiful trees. I am so grateful for their care and highly recommend!

I have been going to Northwood Dental for over 5 years now and have always received exceptional care from Dr. Thomas and the rest of the staff. They have never suggested or pressured unnecessary work, I was constantly being told by my previous dentist in Eagan that I needed fillings replaced. The office is very comfortable and inviting, Dr. Thomas is always very careful to ask how you’re doing as he’s working (he’s very in-tune to even the slightest of change in breathing) and is always asking “are you doing ok?” while doing fillings, etc. I will continue to travel over 30 miles to see Dr. Thomas and his staff!

My family got recommended this Dentist. 3years later they still go there and I finally caved in after my teeth was aching for a while. You see I have a huge fear of dentists ever since I was a child and my father forced us kids to go to a really janky place that has forever scarred me. Northwood dental was very friendly and clean if you are a new client they have a promotion where you get a super fancy toothbrush for free. Which is a perk. But best of all they were uber gentle in the cleaning process and fit me in to the schedules even though it was last minute. I did have to go back a second time because they had discovered a cavity that took less than 20min in and out during a lunch break without any pain meds or Novocaine. They are the best dentist I’ve been too and I guess it won’t be so bad going every 6months plus free toothbrush, coupons, floss its like a dental goodie bag they put together when you leave.

Great place, as much as a dentist can be anyway.  I like how I always get the same hygienist, Pam, who’s been there for a long time.  She knows what she’s doing, is very informative, and doesn’t cause discomfort during the cleaning.  Also, the dentists I’ve seen there, Dr. Tapel and Dr. Thomas, were both very good.

First time at the practice. Online forms were easy to access and fill out ahead of time. Brought me right back and didn’t have to wait in the waiting room. Staff were really friendly. Dena the hygienist was superb!! Nice options for appt reminders such as texts and email. The office building is in great location — really easy to get to and the interior is beautiful. Even the piranha in the fish tank had nice pearly whites!

Another great visit to see Dr. Thomas and the staff at Northwood Dental. The office continues to take additional precautions to make sure their staff and patients are kept as safe as possible. I felt VERY comfortable while there with their new procedures and precautions. Always a pleasant visit to the dentist at Northwood Dental!
