I have always hated going to the dentist, it’s always on the very bottom of my to-do list. I’ve been anxious and scared of it my entire life. And today, for the first time in my 24 years of existence, I actually had FUN at the dentist!!! Kristin was my hygienist and she treated me like family. She could tell I was so nervous going in and was beyond nice and friendly and outgoing the entire time. She listened to me and shared her own dental horror stories and just made me feel so much better. The dentist was also amazing – super nice and intelligent. But Kristin and her kindness stood out and made me feel comfortable and safe. They even gave me a new water bottle and a Dutch Bro’s gift card (I mentioned I was getting Dutch after my appointment to reward myself and found the gift card in my goodie bag that even when I put my goodies away!) I never knew going to the dentist could be a “fun” experience until today.

My whole family LOVES Oakmont Family Dental!! From my husband who has an odd phobia to my 18 year old who I thought would need to stay at the pediatric dentist FOREVER and my 15 year old who loves every single visit!! Our Hygienist Kristen ❤️ is hands down the best we’ve ever had to Dr.’s Erin and Matt who treat us always as VIP’s. We love you all tons!

I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 5+ years. Half out of not having the insurance, half just anxious about going back. I could not have picked a better group; they made me feel comfortable at every chance they could. And that includes the billing! Super transparent and I loved how they have dedicated staff to go over charges and your insurance line by line.

All I can say is WOW!! I had my first appointment today and I will never have a different dentist. The entire experience was top notch. The office is beautiful and clean with lots of perks like food and drinks, WiFi, charging station and lots to read. I got a tour of the facility which is also so clean and modern. My hygienist TaLisa listened to everything I said. She took so much care in respecting my dental anxiety and what a cleaning!! My teeth shine. She spoke to me about common interests. She was so kind and caring. She helped me voice my concerns to the Dentist and they were both so knowledgeable. Did I mention the comfort menu? Blankets, essential oils, custom chapsticks. This place is outstanding. Thank you for the service and care you provide.

By far the best dentist I have been to and I am only 21 years old ! At first I was scared to try a new dentist because I am from California and I’ve been going to the same dentist for sooooo long Oakmont Family Dental changed everything ! When I first walked in, the women at the front desk were so nice and sweet. I filled out the paper work which took a little while but they were very patient. I than got introduced to my hygienist who gave me a tour of the entire place and was very welcoming ! She even gave me an overview of what they do in house and showed me the 4 dentists diplomas! I wish I could rate this dentist office 20 billion stars cause 5 is just to small for how great of a business they are.

Stopped in on monday morning at 8:00 am (5-9-22) with a broken crown and they were able to see me that morning (at 11:00 am) to evaluate. Scheduled me for today (5-17-22) to completely fix the old broken crown. They also have the machine that makes your crown in the office so everything was completed in one visit. What a great experience! I will be coming back for teeth cleaning and full x-rays in june. I can’t say enough how professional and caring the staff at this office are! Highly recommend

I recently moved to Eugene and needed to find a new dentist. I get anxious and nervous at the dentist so I was not looking forward to my visit. Everyone in the office was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hygienist helped explain everything before it happened & kept checking in to be sure I was okay. They were very gentle and took their time with everything to be sure I was comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist in the area.

Professional, accessible, committed to patient care and delivering outstanding service. Doctors Mclaughlin and Andrus are on the leading edge of education in their field, have amazing new technology at their disposal, and are genuine, friendly people. They have patiently taken the time to educate me on my choices in available treatments, no hard-selling tactics, making me feel engaged and empowered in my treatment plan. They really get the value of the relationship with the people they serve, never did I feel like just another mouth in the chair. If you’ve ever been frustrated by condescending, aloof, one-size-fits-all dental treatment, give these folks a shot at your business. They really care about the human attached to the teeth. I’m very satisfied with the work they performed.

I’ve been having pretty terrible tooth pain in a large molar for about a month. It seems part of an old filling had chipped away from the top of the tooth and in between the neighbor tooth, resulting in a hole in the large molar. The pain became too much to deal with by this morning, so I called Oakmont Family Dental around 10:30 am and had an appointment set up for 5 on the same day! Dr. Matt McLaughlin and his assistant, Cera, were both amazing, compassionate, and patient. After x-rays, Dr. Matt quickly determined that I needed a root canal, explaining everything involved in a caring manner. He made sure to address my various anxieties, and took extra time to make sure the procedure was painless as possible (I tend to have a hard time getting numb, and am allergic to lidocaine, unfortunately). Due to the time, he suggested performing the first part of the root canal tonight, which entailed debriding most of the decay, creating canals to the roots, removing the nerves, applying antiseptic ointment, and using a temporary putty-like material to cover the open tooth. The whole visit took about two hours (remember, this was a last minute scheduling). I still need to have about two and a half hours of work done to complete the procedure, but Dr. Matt made sure I was comfortable before I left, and also made himself available in case I start experiencing more pain before the second part of the procedure. Root canals and crowns are obviously not cheap. I unfortunately do not have dental insurance, but Dr. Matt and the compassionate financial office workers were able to work with me to make the cost more manageable. I’ve seen a number of dentists throughout my life (I unfortunately do not have good teeth) and it is very easy to say that Dr. Matt and the entire Oakmont Family Dental team are the best I’ve ever experienced.

I have been going to them for several years now and have always had a good experience with their professional and friendly staff and team. My daughter, since turning 18, has felt the same way and enjoys her experiences as well. I have referred friends, whom still use them for their dentistry as well others over the years because of my good experiences within their clinic.
