With only one review of a business on Yelp!… and that being a horrible one, I feel duty bound to share my feelings about Dr. Sarkissian at Oaks Dental in Sherman Oaks. I have been a very happy patient of hers since she took over the practice from my former dentist several years ago.  Visiting her office several times a year for a cleaning and also yearly x-rays and the occasional filling repair, I am completely satisfied with her skills as a dentist as well as her ability to make a patient feel totally comfortable and at ease before, during and after the dental procedures.  This is in no doubt accomplished by her friendliness and warm personality.  A few days ago I sent a friend who was visiting from out of state. He needed the remains of a wisdom tooth extracted which she did painlessly.  She also filled three cavities, did a full set of  x-rays and a cleaning. Afterwards he commented that his gums felt better and that his teeth looked considerably brighter. Later that evening after a 3 hour flight home, he called to say the numbness had worn off and there was just some minor bleeding at the extraction site but no discomfort. With two more wisdom teeth needing removal, my friend said he would gladly return to have Dr. Sarkissian perform the procedure.  In closing… I heartily recommend Dr. Sarkissian if you are looking for a highly skilled practitioner in the Sherman Oaks area.

Dr. Sarkissian and her staff are A1. I love that office and all that it contains. I travel over 60 miles for my appointments and it’s so worth it. Do yourself and your teeth a favor and go see Dr. Sarkissian.

I am terrified of dentists. Had bad experiences with dentists an LA. Dr. Sarkissian is an AMAZING DENTIST!!! Very caring, very professional, and makes you feel so comfortable and relax! Takes her time and does full exam of every tooth. Recommends NECESSARY jobs that needed to be done only and not like others dentists want to do the unnecessary job just to build your insurance. The office staff is amazing! They speak Russian and Armenian. The office is super clean and located on Ventura in Sherman Oaks. My whole family goes to her. And my 6 year old son LOVES her!

Very clean and professional office. I came in here for a check up and I was greeted by the front desk. Sarkis welcomed me into one of the rooms and did everything so professionally and gently. You could tell how passionate he is about his career and definitely see a smile behind his mask. Dr. Sarkissian is also fantastic. I would definitely recommend her office.

I cant believe I hadnt found this place when I needed a dentist the most. I lived in Montana and my dentist was there until i moved here to Los Angeles. I was recommended by a friend to come here. The staff was extremely warm and friendly. They worked fast to get me in so i did not have to wait long. everything was done very neat, clean and fast. Doctor was awesome, sweet and funny!!!! She was knowledgeable and i felt confident with her work.  This is my new dentist and i know i wont be changing anytime soon. If you need a dentist or are scared to go trust me you will have the best experience here!!!!!!

I have never seen more honest dentist than Dr. Ruzan. I had terrible experience with other doctors especially with HMO insurance. They tell you, you need deep cleaning when you don’t , they tell you have two cavities, when you don’t but Dr. Ruzan is never money hungry. She tells you the truth and very honest to her work and others. She is a blessing.

As I am reading the previous review it is sad to say but the Dr Sarkissian always asks me to pay upfront at least a portion, and I don’t have problem with it. My previous dentist tried to scammed me for a dental work worth of $5000.00 telling that I have decays and I didn’t. Dr. Sarkissian did through check up and turned out I don’t have any decays. She is a very legit,  very professional and highly skilled dentist. She is very understanding as a person and a doctor. She also works with lots of different insurances including LA Care (MediCAl) not a lot of dentists will accepts it. She also lately accepts a special program called (A Grant) which is supplement through medical insurance to help patients who suffers financial hardship. She goes beyond to help their clients. I highly recommend the Doctor to my friends and family. Big thank you and thank you Aza for wonderful help (the receptionist desk)!

I had a pleasant experience at Oaks Dental. Dr Ruzan Sarkissian was very knowledgeable with a gentle touch and professional as well. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend Dr Sarkissian to anyone who is looking for a good dentist.

Dr Sarkissian made a visual exam of my xray and gave me a diagnostic about an infection that 2 other places could not make. One was my usual dental office and another place even asked for a $350 scan. I would highly recommend Dr Sarkissian because of her expertise and honest work.

My family has had great experiences with Dr.Sarkissian for years now. She only suggests work you truly need. She is a skilled dentist and handles you with a professional and caring attitude. She’s thorough and makes going to the dentist as pleasant as possible. Highly recommend.

I had some tooth pain, called Oaks Dental to make an appointment, they were very polite and understanding of my situation. The receptionist worked around their busy schedule to get me in as soon as possible due to the pain I was in. When I got there all the staff was AMAZING, and let me tell you about this wonderful doctor. She took her time to listen, and was overall the best dentist visit i have ever had. Would recommend to anyone.
