I could not be more pleased with these dentists (Dr. Kimberly Dankworth and Dr. Piper Dankworth, in particular). They are very respectful of my personal hangups about dentistry. Everybody who works in the office is friendly. The dentists are the Dankworth family: mom, dad, and their daughter. They seem to genuinely love dentistry, which is weird. Perhaps they’re really human-like robots. The young, pretty hygenists have very helpful suggestions that have improved my dental hygene without flossing! The dentists have not lectured me or guilt tripped me or suggested any extra procedures I might not need. They are flexible about scheduling. This office recently changed hands, so I don’t think many of the reviews are about the current practice. I sent my boyfriend to their office and he was also really impressed by these dentists.

I’ve been going to Oceanside Dental Excellance for the past few months following an emergency visit to address a tooth in desperate need of a root canal. They were able to get me in and started that day to take care of the excessive pain I was in and every visit since has been the same quality of service. The staff is friendly and helpful, the doctors are kind and always quick to address any questions or concerns, and the facility is clean and comfortable. I’ve been more than satisfied with the care I’ve received here and plan on utilizing them for all of my future dental needs.

I needed a new dentist, and had put it off for too long. I went to this business, and was pleasantly surprised, Let’s face it, going to the dentist can be painful! I had an exam, and was set up for a deep cleaning, as I said before, it had been a while. I opted to do my whole mouth in one sitting, and my hygenist Natasha was professional, cheerful, and most of all, considerate of my comfort. I have spoken with April at the front desk, and she works to make sure I get all the benefits my insurance allows! And, she does it cheerfully, with a great attitude. My family had been going to Dr. Ford for many years. I would not even to go to the dentist due to a bad experience when I was younger. Even as kind as Dr. Ford is, couldn’t do it. Recently had to have my wisdom teeth pulled. Dr. Kimberly Dankworth and her assistant were so caring about making sure I was comfortable, and would answer all questions. I felt no pain with the shots and I was feeling less anxious. That i was okay when I went in for my cleaning with Natasha a few weeks later. She was very nice and kind as well. I would give 5 stars at this point but still have some appointments so I will return when we see how all those go. I would say the only con to the office is the days and office hours are little hard to work with mine and when we are trying to make appointments for our children.

Let’s face it, nobody loves going to the dentist, right? Well, I was so averse to the dentist that I didn’t go for 11 years. I was afraid (based on my past experiences) of the pain, the scraping the sounds and smells even that go with a visit to the dentist. Finally, I had a toothache and I had to go. Based on research online and a referral from a friend I chose La Costa Dental Excellence. MIND BLOWN! Dr. Steven Dankworth specialize in Pain-Free Sedation dentistry. I will attest that “Pain-Free” was exactly what they delivered. My case was not a pretty one…I had 6 hours of work done including periodontal therapy. I took a pill 45 mins beforehand re my appointment to relax me and then after I arrived I was given additional “medicine” to sedate me. I also was given “gas”. I had some heavy duty stuff done and let me tell you, not only do I not remember a thing due to the “amnesia” effect of the drugs… But after my procedure, I was 100% pain-free. Not bad for 6 hours worth of dental work. From the moment I walked in, this place was different. None of the weird smells or drilling sounds that go along with the dentist or present. Everything was so high-tech and 1st class. Impressive to say the least. Everyone was friendly on my first consultation and they explained all the costs, accepted my insurance and even had financing available. I have to give a special shout out to Sandra who made sure I was relaxed and comfortable the entire time. She’s a real asset to the team over there. Dr. Corrigan is obviously an industry veteran with decades of excellent experience. Bottom line, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dentist anymore. I promise it’s not necessary. You really can have a 100% pain-free extra experience at the dentist now. Check out La Costa Dental Excellence. Your mouth will thank you.

I recently moved to Oceanside and needed a local dentist. My adult son referred me to Oceanside Dental Excellence. I have seen both Dr. Stephen Dankworth and Dr. Kimberly Dankworth. The dental care they performed was practically pain free. I am a big baby when it comes to pain. I wish they were my original dentist. Before going to Oceanside Dental Excellence, I would get nervous the day of a dentist appointment from anticipating the pain. Not anymore, both dentist were kind, knowledgeable, and fast. I have since referred others in need of great dental care to their practice. I also enjoy the office staff who make me feel like family each time I visit. I felt very safe going into La Costa Dental Excellence even during this Covid 19. The office is very professional and is taking all necessary steps to keep a clean/safe environment. Your are asked to wait in your car until they escort you (with mask on) into the office, temp check at the door, swish with Peroxide before sitting in the chair. The staff wears PPE for protection. Everything is clean. Also there are plexiglass dividers up at check out station.

I met Dr. Dankworth about a month ago. His practice is on Mission and El Camino Real ( in the Stater Bros. Walgreens, and Chase shopping center). I am very nervous and afraid of dentist; however, Dr.Dankworth calmed my fears…but not completely. The day of my deep cleaning and extraction I told his staff how scared I was, and that is when I heard for the first time about ‘Oral Sedation’. This pillp is designed to take all the edge from the patient, relaxing them to the point of hearing and feeling the procedure, but giving the patient the impression of being far far away…It REALLY WORKS!! If you are terrified of dental procedures, I urge you to try ‘Oral Sedation’! Debi I.

I can’t express my experience with Dr. Stephen Dankworth, but to say it is a 5 star experience. I have neglected my teeth for many years. I broke a tooth and knew it was time to see a dentist. My first visit was amazing. The front staff was very accommodating. The dental hygienist was great. I knew I needed a lot of work! Started the process of having 6 crowns. Dr. Dankworth is pain free, respectful and congenial . The dental assistants are competent and respectful. I’m half way through this process. In the past, I was apprehensive and nervous to see a dentist. My faith in pain free dentistry is restored!
