Dr. Okamoto’s office is very professional, clean and friendly. Not only is every member of staff genuinely friendly, but they also truly care about your well-being, and that speaks volumes about them as individuals, as well as medical professionals. The equipment utilized is technologically advanced and every concern, if any, is discussed in detail, which is very important for understanding short-term and long-term health. Pricing is very fair and the options are excellent for treating various situations. The results of my x-ray were explained to me in-depth and I’ll begin the process of being fitted and measured for Invisalign, which I am very grateful for. Lastly, Dr. Okamoto and her staff have a very good sense of humor and that helps a great deal. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Okamoto and her office.

I went to Dr. Okamoto to get braces as a grown ass man in my 20’s with some messed up teeth. I felt very hesitant about getting everything done so I feel fortunate Dr. Okamoto was my orthodontist. She did a great job working with my regular dentist to make sure that my short roots were taken care of during my braces treatment. And of course most importantly my teeth came out looking straight and nice. The whole process was pretty pain free and Dr. Okamoto is really attentive to everything.

Dr Okamoto is one of the BEST. She really implements best practices of an orthodontist and she is patient, caring and most importantly highly competent in what she does. I got my Invisalign through Dr Okamoto and she was superb in her work. I’ve gone to many dentists in San Francisco and they have all complemented my teeth and her work and that they have not seen such a meticulous Invisalign work before! Although I’ve moved, she has responded to me very quickly in both situations of me breaking my retainers and have been extremely helpful. Very friendly and flexible staff. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Okamoto was an amazing orthodontist and I am completely and utterly happy with the results. This office has friendly and great service, and Dr. Okamoto is very detailed and thorough throughout the ortho process. She wants the best results for her patients, and she was such a pleasure to work with. Their pricing was reasonable and the results were well beyond what I expected. A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Okamoto was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. She earned her undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies - Human Sciences from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She continued her studies at the University of Missouri at Kansas City where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. There she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She earned her Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Master's degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. Dr. Okamoto's professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Academy for Orthodontic Excellence. Dr. Okamoto has been in private practice since 1994. She has been in her present location in Costa Mesa since 1999. She was a faculty member of the UCLA School of Dentistry for 15 years. When away from her practice, Dr. Okamoto enjoys yoga, traveling, arts and crafts, and spending time with her son and their cat.
