A chipped tooth on a Friday night + my regular dentist’s office being closed for the week of Thanksgiving could have been a recipe for disaster. I have been a patient at Omni for 19 years. At first they were under my dental plan and as things change, they were not in my dental plan. However, I continue to go to Omni b/c of the service I receive. Dr. Fils-Aime is one of the best dental surgeons you can encounter. I never feel the needle if I have to get it. The staff is second to none. The other dentists all have their specialty as well. They’re tough but they get the job done and you always leave with a goodie bag filled with treats for the teeth. what more can you ask for from your dentist. My smile is beautiful.

Be afraid no longer! Dr. Rodney Fils-Aime has the rare combination of perfect bedside manner matched with exceptional care and professionalism. I have spent years terrified of the dentist due to some previous experiences. As such, I had not visited the dentist in 3 years!! THEN, based on a referral from a friend, I put my fear aside and went to his office to meet him. He spent time talking to me about why I was fearful, previous dental work and then proceeded to create a dental plan with me where he was transparent with the procedures (he’s conservative) and kind in his delivery. After ONE appointment, my fear subsided because I knew I was finally in capable and proficient hands. I would be remiss if I didn’t also share that his office staff are absolutely lovely and accommodating. Oh…and now that my dental work is complete, I have decided that I am ready for the next step in improving my smile – Invisalign. Great results already and I am only a few months in. For being, his care and dedication to his work is so amazing and important to me. I first visited Dr. Fils-Aime (Omnident) in 2015 (after taking a five year break from dentistry due to grad school, changing health care plans, laziness, etc.) As someone who had previously never gone more than six months between cleanings, I was horrified. But the longer I waited, the harder it was to buck up and make the appointment. Finally – buoyed by recommendations from co-workers (and the fact that the practice was around the corner from my office), I found myself at 1 Rock. Red with embarrassment, I gave my history to Dr. Fils-Aime and his team…. and no one batted an eyelash. They took it in stride and seemed genuinely glad to have me as a new patient. I assumed this was because I clearly needed all new teeth… but after a cleaning, x-rays, and a thorough exam, I found this not to be true. Thank you, fluoride in the water growing up! But despite not being a particularly profitable patient, Dr. F and his team have continued to provide amazing care over the past few years. They rearranged their schedules and snuck me in before my wedding when my teeth needed some TLC after years of coffee and red wine. A year later, when I found myself needing a dentist on a Saturday due to a mishap, Dr. Fils-Aime schlepped into the city on a Saturday and opened up the office for me. I missed the rest of the Oktoberfest party, but I went to work on Monday with normal-looking teeth. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the rest of the amazing staff at Omnident. I see Olga for cleanings, and I can say without a doubt that she is more dedicated to my gum health than my mom is. I cannot say enough good things about her. (I may curse her under my breath for an hour or two after a cleaning, but generally speaking, my mouth thanks her.) The rest of the front of house team (Yvette, et al) are amazing… as are the ladies on the operational side who keep everything running like clockwork (Kathy, Mariluz, and Alida). Have never left a review for a doctor’s office before, but felt compelled in this case.

Who loves going to the dentist?! NO BODY! Is it as good an experience as it gets with Omnident/Fils-Aime?! HECK yeah! I started visiting Omnident two years ago to rectify the botched work of a previous dentist. Sloppy is what happened, and I needed fixing via efficient, properly done work on a root canal. Between Fils-Aime and Kardon, they fixed me right up, and now as a regular patient I am always glad to pay a visit as I know medically they are indeed very sound, and thereafter they’re so friendly that you get drawn right in. Front desk/support staff: Outstanding group. Any insurance/scheduling questions, and overall concerns are handled gracefully and nicely. Yes, nicely. I love when that happens at a docs office. Dental Hygienists are efficient and THOROUGH and in that, excellent. Dental Assistants are tops; again that word – efficient. And cheerful. Love it. Fils-Aime; careful, thorough, excellent at his craft, and friendly about it without overboard vaudeville chumminess (see previous bad dentist for that kind of yucking it up but doing a sub-par job). I found this office through a friends recommendation; word of mouth is best, but if you can’t find that, good old Yelp comes through once again!

Dr. Rodney Fils-Aime received his doctor of medical dentistry from Philadelphia's Temple University. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), an associate fellow of the American Association of Implant Dentistry (AAID), a sustaining member of the academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He actively participates as a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), and the New York State Dental Association. Dr. Fils-Aime has been named to the Best Dentists in America list for four years running. Insurances (PPO's) are accepted and processed by our office but the doctor is not in network with any plans.
