This is the first time I was seen at On Pointe Dentistry since my former dental office merged with this practice last March. I was immediately impressed with how vigilant the practice was in reassuring patients about the COVID19 virus. All patients were distanced in the waiting area (or waited outside) and all had their temperatures taken prior to being seen by the hygienist. My hygienist Tenchi – as always! – was fabulous. She as well as the staff from the previous practice had transferred to the new office. This was the first time I had been seen by the dentist on duty, Dr. Nack. Obviously I was a new patient to him, but he took the time to fully examine my teeth, mouth, etc. I just happened to mention that some times I woke up with my jaw aching. He immediately took notice and recommended further X-rays, antibiotics, and a referral to a root canal specialist. It turns out I was in need of a root canal and had an infection in my jaw that had probably existed for at least a year. Thank you, Dr. Nack for being so professional and caring – especially to a new and unknown patient.

This dentist office was the best I have ever been to. It started with a phone call with Brittany, she was professional, personable, and very kind. I had a lot of questions because I was a new patient and having some bad pain in my jaw and she worked to get me in for an x-ray that same day. The dental assistant who I worked with was also great! And Dr. Nack was excellent! He asked more questions than I’ve ever had to really understand my pain and what was going on, he was able to determine what was causing my pain, made sure I was set up to start taking care of it properly and thoroughly explained what was going on and everything I needed. I highly recommend this office and team to anyone in need of a Dentist!

Dr. Nack recently removed my daughter’s teeth for orthodontic treatment and the experience was nothing short of perfect, especially considering the nature of the appointment. Needless to say, my 12 year old was pretty apprehensive right before the appointment, and Dr. Nack was so patient with her and calmed her down, she even slept some during the visit. He was so gentle during the procedure she had almost no pain after! Definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a great dentist and a friendly team. A+!

I am one of those myriad people who has, for most of my life, had a “fear of the dentist.” I don’t think it can be categorized as a true “phobia,” but it’s strong enough that I had to have 6 fillings today, and my (impacted) wisdom teeth still need to be removed, which has been the case for probably 20+ years now. (I will be 40 in a few months.) I probably would have continued indefinitely with the periodic pain and constant annoyance of the wisdom teeth (and cavities, etc), except that one of my molars was broken a few years back, most likely due to the force of the impaction and its movement. (I swallowed a chunk of my tooth, and just kind of went on with a hole there for 5 years or so, avoiding chewing on that side.) I would have periodic flare-ups of sharp and throbbing pain, but I’d always work through it and it would go away. Well, last year, it flared up again and lasted longer than normal, and it felt like it started to spread and wasn’t going to get any better. On the recommendation of a trusted co-worker, I set an appointment with Dr. Nack to have the offending tooth removed. I was able to be seen very quickly. (I don’t remember if it was considered an emergency extraction or not…but I was pleased with the time frame, either way.) Not only was Dr. Nack very adept at the removal, but he was also warm, friendly, and sincerely caring. He understood the fear that I (and many others) have had about dental visits, and he talked me through the process and helped settle me, even when I had a couple of choice words for him (which I don’t know if he heard). 🙂 The procedure went as well as it could have gone, and Dr. Nack even checked up personally to see how I was doing. I returned later for a plan of action (or maybe it was that same day; I don’t remember) to restore my oral health. I also want to get braces, so there are steps that will need to be taken to get to that point, and I am finally surrendering after all this time. Over the past year, I’ve had a few periodontal appointments with Lisa, one of the Registered Dental Hygienists…and she is one of my new favorite people. (I’m sure all the hygienists are great, but I feel blessed that I landed in Lisa’s care.) We mesh pretty well, and we laugh a lot…not everybody gets my humor, so that is a big deal to me. She has a stupendous chair-side manner, as does Dr. Nack and each of his assistants I’ve encountered. The office staff are great as well; they are always very friendly and happy to answer whatever questions I may have. I feel like it is a little family there. So, long story short (too late), I have found my dentist, and I am pleased to entrust him with the care of my oral health for as long as I have teeth and/or gums and haven’t moved out of state. Even then, I’d probably still just come back to him.

I was referred to a superior endodontist, Dr. John Kurtz in Glendale, AZ from an awesome dentist, Dr. Nack of Seventh Street Dental. Today I had my root canal. If it was not for Dr. Nack of Seventh Street Dental’s recommendation to see Dr. Kurtz, I would have pulled the tooth. Dr. Nack’s staff took the time to help me find dental insurance to accommodate the expense of the root canal and it was expensive and had to be paid upfront. Who does that? Without reservation, if you are looking for an excellent dentist that really listens to his patients and invests 100% of himself into a dental practice that cares about his patients, contact Dr. Nack and you will look no further. He will remain my dentist for all my dental needs now, and I will be sure to recommend him to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Look No Further! Ever since our son was very little, he loved going to the Dentist and get his teeth cleaned. He would choose the Dentist over the Pediatrician any time of day. I used to be in the field for many years and taught our son how to take care of his teeth. Knock on wood, he has never had a cavity in his whole life and he is 13 years old now. This week we had to put Dr. Nack to the test when our son had to have 8 baby teeth removed, that were not even loose yet, so his permanent teeth could start coming in. We scheduled two visits this week to have his teeth taken out and Dr. Nack passed the test with flying colors both times! He is extremely gently and awesome with kids and adults for that matter! Our son never complained or had any issues at all. To be honest, I was a little worried that having some teeth removed would change our son’s opinion about going to the Dentist but it did not. We are extremely grateful and appreciate the way Dr. Nack and his Staff treated us but more so our son. Our son never even felt or saw any injections coming his way until it was over. Dr. Nack’s way of distraction and technique administering the anesthetic was superb! He also had to split some of his baby teeth and none of the noise or vibration of the drill made our son feel frightened or uncomfortable at all. After each visit we also received a personal follow up call from him which made us feel very special. It’s a nice touch that a lot of other places don’t do and if they do, it’s just their Front Office Staff checking in. I truly believe this is the best Dental Office! Perfect for a dental phobic who is ready to have a great experience or if you have children that need work done but you don’t know where to go and who to trust. Well, look no further. We highly recommend Dr. Nack and his Staff! You won’t regret it, double promise!

When I first walked into to Dr. Nack’s dental office, I was in so much pain with troubled teeth from previous dental work that was unprofessionally done. A failed root canal that abscessed & a list of other work needed. Dr. Nack & his staff have performed miracles on these teeth! His dedication to completing this long process has been unwavering. He is kind. He is patient. He CARES about the state of your dental health. (And he sings while he works on you, making you LAUGH!!) All of these things are what makes a good dentist GREAT! I will start by saying I’ve always struggled with being comfortable in the dentist chair. So much so I avoided the dentist chair like the plague and hadn’t seen one in at least 8 years after having had a horrific experience in the dentist chair as a kid. Now, at age 34, this sort of neglect of course has yeilded many failed and decaying teeth in my mouth and a closed mouth smile. In the past, everytime I got the courage to go see a dentist and finally get a handle on my oral health, my motivation was quickly snuffed out by the dentist bararting me about the years of neglect, one even came out and asked how long I had done Meth. (NEVER IN MY LIFE!). All this followed by handing me a astronomical quote to get things back in order. Talk about sucking the wind out of your sails. Two weeks ago, I woke up with a golf ball in my cheek from an infected tooth and once again decided I was over playing tooth pain roulette. I made an urgent appointment at Onpoint dentistry. Dr. Kode and the amazing team there completely broke step with what I had come to expect seeing a new dentist for the first time. Dr. Kode and the team were nothing short of compassionate, friendly, welcoming and understanding! I wasn’t ever once made to feel guilty or fearful of the work that needed to be done. Dr. Kode formulated a plan of attack to bring order from chaos in my mouth. They prescribed antibiotics, and we decided on a date to make it happen. That was yesterday morning. Having now finally come off the pain meds and rinsed my mouth im blown away by what was accomplished in the 4 hours I was sedated in the chair. WOW! Huge thanks to Dr. Kode and amazing team at OnPoint! I’m happy to smile again! I highly recommend!

Is 5 stars really the maximum that you can give a stellar Doctor and his practice? There needs to be a category for those that are so far beyond the normal standard of excellence, that they have a grading scale that goes to 10 stars. Honestly I would give Dr. Nack and his staff 10 stars all day, everyday and twice on a Sunday (even though they’re closed on Sundays lol). If you don’t have time to read this whole review, just trust me and go to Dr. Nack/ On pointe Dentistry. I PROMISE YOU, YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Now for those that have more time to read, here goes. Dr. Nack had treated a family member for several year. His work is so incredible, we have had other dentists ask who did the work he had done because it was stellar. I’m a medical student. This is imp for 2 reasons. 1) I’m on a really really reallyyyyy tight budget. 2) With the rigors of med school and with travel I have been unable to see a dentist in a few years. I finally made it a priority this year to go in to get a check up. Well we found out that I needed a marathon of work done. 3 crowns, 7 fillings and deep cleaning. Subsequently I needed a root canal too. From the initial examination, Dr. Nack was unbelievably thorough. His state of the art equipment is not found in most dentists offices and rivals the best of the best even found in celeb practices in Hollywood. I found out that he is considered a premier dentist with the insurance that I have. Sadly my particular insurance doesn’t cover all the charges so it was going to cost me more to get all this work done here than at several other dentists. This is where the med student on a tight budget comes into play. I considered going to another dentist for a portion of it to save money, but I remembered what other dentists said about his work and how they were almost envious of what his standards are. Trust me when I say that when it comes to your dental work and health in general, you want a Doctor who is a perfectionist. Sadly a lot of perfectionists in the medical field lack a good bed side manner and inter-personal skills. With Dr. Nack not only is he one of the nicest people you will ever meet, he really truly does care about you as his patient. After my first round of fillings, he called me at home that night to make sure I was okay. Which flipping doctor in this day and age of corporatized medicine, does that? It’s such a nice feeling to have your Dr add that personal touch. I could write a novel here about everything that was done and how amazing it was. But to summarize it. His work was perfect, the office is incredible, the atmosphere is inviting, painful procedures are made as painless as possible and my goodness the work is beyond excellent. I need to make special mention of a few people. Samantha was the most amazing assistant. We cracked more jokes together than you can imagine. Kayla was always so sweet and inviting. In a covid-19 world she is the first person you might talk to from the parking lot when asking if you can come in. She always greeted me with the same million dollar radiant smile that she has, whether it was 7:30 a.m. or 4 p.m. and was always so friendly and inviting. Kim did my dental cleaning and my gosh is she goooodddd at what she does. And a very very special mention goes out to Stacey. She helped me so many times over the phone, was so understanding and is a ray of sunshine in that office. As I said everyone here is beyond incredible. Dr. Nack leads a great team and I truly mean this when I say that he is possibly one of the best Dentists in this nation. I have seen tons of them and have friends who are dentists in other states. There simply isn’t another Dr. Nack. As I said earlier. Even if you don’t read this review, please for the sake of your health, just go to Dr. Nack. I cannot express my gratitude enough for what Dr. Nack and entire dental team has done for me. I had been with 7th Street Dental for a over 20 years even before Dr. Nack came to 7th Street Dental and they have always been great to my whole family as well friends who I have recommended. Recently, I had an emergency with a crown that had broken in the front of my mouth and although I had been going to a new dentist recently due to the insurance network, I was stuck because the new dentist was on vacation. I went into complete panic mode! Then my daughter quickly said, “Mom, you need to go to Dr. Nack because He will take care of you”. It was the late afternoon and I knew I had to work the next day, “with the public”! I called the office and Patty heard my tears and said “come down right away and we’ll get you in”. I am a “nervous nelly” about going to the dentist and had to have a molar pulled and implant don. I was very happy with the compassion and understanding I received from this dentist office. Patti at the front desk is a great asset she is kind, compassionate and always professional. The Hygienists are very nice, explain everything they are doing along the way and the Doctors are very calming and thorough. Definitely put my mind at ease. They work with you on your terms and not theirs. They will suggest treatments to you as expected, but are not pushy if you choose not to agree with them. The absolute best! I was visiting family in Phoenix for an extended period of time from NYC when my crown popped off on a Thursday night. I found it nearly impossible to make an emergency dental appointment on a Friday…all of those nearby were either closed or had very limited hours. Plus, it’s no picnic visiting a dentist you’re not famiiar with. I contacted my friend who lives in NYC but who lived previously in Scottsdale for several years and she recommended Dr. Nack. Dr. Nack was much more thorough than any dentist I’ve worked with. Dr Nack’s Dental skills are excellent. He is very efficient. I don’t have to make a second appointment to fix something that’s not quite right. I am very impressed with Dr. Nack and On Point Dentistry. They are tremendous. We discuss Dr. Nack’s recommendations and come up with a good plan going forward. On Point provides a detailed estimate which I find very helpful. I highly recommend On Point Dentistry.

Love this dentist office! I couldn’t be happier. I went in for an initial cleaning, nothing unusual. The staff was very nice. They have early appointments which is great. I went in 1/22 to have my wisdom teeth pulled. The staff answered all my questions and concerns. Told me the dos and don’ts. I showed up with no anxiety. Come 1/22. I was ready. Teeth came out, fillings in. Dr. Nack personally called me that night to make sure I was ok and answer any other questions. Went in a few days later for a check up. Today (1/27) I am almost 100% back to eating normal and minimal swelling. I am so happy I found this dentist and his staff. I am very impressed. Def a return client and I’m suggesting them to everyone!!

Already having wild dental anxiety and strongly disliking any kind of dental work… I will have to say hands down Dr. Nack is all about patient care and comfort. While I didn’t need any sort of sedation for my appointment, I appreciate how attentive Dr. Nack and his assistant were during the whole appointment. They were constantly checking on my comfort-ability level and I am confident Dr. Nack went through the procedure with a fine tooth comb making sure the quality of the build up on my tooth was perfect. I had some gum pain after the appointment which was expected and I phoned the office a couple hours after leaving due to the pain and Dr. Nack called me back about an hour later (afterhours) and addressed my concerns the same night to help me get through the pain. It is always difficult choosing a good dentist and even more difficult choosing a GREAT dentist that is all about their patients! Thank you thank you thank you to Dr. Nack and the entire team for making the process smooth and comfortable! I will be choosing them for all of my dental needs going forward!

He graduated from Arizona’s first dental school, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, with top honors and advanced training. Formerly, Dr. Tom Nack served in the US Navy for over eight years including time served during Desert Storm. He worked as a Nuclear Operator in charge of operating and maintaining the Navy’s largest nuclear propulsion plants onboard the USS Carl Vinson and later as a Radiological Controls Supervisor overseeing nuclear repairs on board USS submarines. During his enlistment years, he also was involved in two family startup businesses in caring for the elderly with his mother which eventually led them down here. He earned his Bachelor degree in Science with a specialization in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State College shortly after his honorable discharge. Additionally, Dr. Tom Nack worked for corporate America after his honorable discharge including work at Johnson Controls Inc. and Intel Corporation. Although Dr. Tom Nack did very well and advanced in his former careers, he was always left without a sense of satisfaction or a feeling of making a difference. That loss was filled when Dr. Tom Nack discovered the wonderful gift of being a dentist and finally being able to make a difference with each and every one of his patients in whom he takes a sincere interest. He hopes to provide you with all the information and treatment that you may need to achieve and maintain the best possible oral care and overall health.
