I just had the implant put in today! Dr Cahoon had to surgically remove the broken off tooth 6 months ago. and he did a great job. Today the implant was put in. I gave his staff a 5 star rating as well! the implant was a breeze compared to when I had 2 teeth cut out. I have to admit I was in pain for several days after that. To be expected it was broken off. but the receptionist told me that the implant was going to be a breeze. its only been 12 hours and I can’t believe I’m not in any pain absolutely amazing! I know this is very expensive process but so far worth every penny! thanks Dr Cahoon

November 1, 2019 Review for Dr. Michael J. Cahoon, Lewes, Delaware. I have been a patient of Dr. Cahoon’s, exclusively for oral surgery for several years. I had an extraction with sedation on 10-31-19. This tooth was decayed and formerly had a crown in it. The crown fell out a couple of times and there was not enough tooth to make a new crown. I scheduled with Dr. Cahoon to be put to sleep and have the tooth removed. Dr. Cahoon is truly an angel of mercy. He always treats me with the utmost compassion. He is such a skilled surgeon, none other like him. Everyone should feel blessed to have such a professional in the area. I will continue to have Dr. Cahoon for my oral surgeon, should the occasion arise again. I had stitches, and next to no bleeding post op. Had some pain and swelling which is definitely to be expected, but still it was minimal. His entire staff, from the front office professionals to the nursing staff are exceptional. Thanks to God for putting Dr. Cahoon in my path!! Thanks Dr. Cahoon!!

I Had 1 impacted wisdom tooth cut out & 1 bad regular tooth cut out. Was sedated for it (if it needs to be surgically cut out he prefers to have you sedated) I was terrified about it all in general (never liked the dentist, always been scared) & was even more nervous about being put to sleep because I had never been before. The day of my surgery/procedure I had taken the vailum he had prescribed (to take an hour before arrival) & it really helped me to calm down. So, I went in the nurses hooked up my IV etc.. & Told me I would start feeling sleepy in 15-30 seconds, next thing I remember I was in the car on the way home. I don’t even remember getting into the car or waking up even. My fiance said it was only maybe 30-45 minutes (tops) that I was back there. So, it was quick & simple. I had very little pain even 2-3 days following. I psyched myself up so much and was so scared for nothing. He did such a great job I guess that it didn’t even really hurt afterwards while healing. Had very little swelling. On the 3rd day or so it did start to hurt worse & swelled a little bit so I was worried I had gotten dry socket & called the office that weekend. I went in Monday to get checked out and make sure everything was ok. He cleaned out both sites and said everything looked good. (Thank God I didn’t have dry socket) Prescribed me extra antibiotics to continue taking & pain medicine (as needed). My stitches fell out within 1 week following the procedure. I didn’t even need to take any pain medicine after the first 3-4 days. Not even ibuprofen. He did such an amazing job (for me) in my opinion & I know a lot of people personally who had work done from him and never heard anything but great things!! I highly recommend him for surgical extractions etc.. Etc..
