Getting out your wisdom teeth may be terrifying and extremely unpleasant, however, Dr. Ron & the staff here put tremendous effort to make sure the procedure goes well and comfortable. I am deathly afraid of needles so I was dreading this procedure for the longest time. I decided to go with local anesthesia because I am afraid of being put to sleep. Before injecting you with the local anesthesia, they apply a numbing cream on your gums with really helped with the pain. The anesthesia did not hurt as bad as I thought it was. Dr. Ron kept asking if I was alright and tickled my nose to ease the discomfort. The office also let me listened to music through my AirPods which was so nice. I was able to be distracted from all the drilling and what not. Unfortunately, my wisdom teeth were impacted and had a lot of difficulty. It took about thirty minutes to get the right top and bottom one out. Although it was very uncomfortable, Dr. Ron did the best he could.. he felt bad that he couldn’t accomplish getting all four out. Overall, there was no pain, just pressure! I recommend just getting your wisdom teeth out when you’re young and your teeth bone are still soft. I wish I visited Dr. Ron in high school. He also gives you after care instructions. I most likely will need to schedule another appt for the other side of my mouth, which is fine. For now.. I’ll just deal with a very swollen right cheek!

Dr. Vuong is amazing. I got all 4 wisdom teeth extracted in 1 hour. He explained the post-op procedures clearly and provided me with all the info I needed to feel comfortable going into the procedure. All 4 of my wisdom teeth were highly impacted and growing horizontally, but Dr. Vuong was able to take care of me with no problem. Highly recommend!! Also, the office is very clean and is disinfected regularly to help combat COVID-19.

Dr Vuong took all 4 of my wisdowm teeth out the same day, had I known how easy this was going to be, I would have done it a long time ago! People were amazed that I was eating and talking that same day! I didnt even need the strong pain meds, ibuprofen was enough! You do take a bit to completely heal but within a week one starts to feel pretty normal again! Simply a great oral surgeon 🙂 He helped me extract two wisdom teeth. He saw that I was freaking out a little because I have never had any type of surgery before, so as he was extracting, he consistently asked if I was okay & if it hurt. I am a general dentist in Fountain Valley. There are a lot of good oral surgeons in the Orange County area, but this office is where I send the majority of my patients including my children and my mother. I had my last remaining wisdom tooth removed here as well. I refer to this office without hesitation. With my two children the degree of post operative swelling was minimal after their wisdom teeth removal, and the healing time was short. I attribute this to the careful technique employed by the surgeon and youth… My kids, not the doctor. I send patients here for implants because of the excellent placement and technique. Fair prices are the icing on the cake. It is my experience that patients are treated fairly with nothing less than the best care rendered by doctors with a high degree of integrity. I just took all 4 my wisdom teeth from Dr. RON A VUONG few hours ago. He is really efficient. I want to be put in sleep and they gave me some local ansthesia too. So i was not feeling sore and i didn’t know how he took them out. I just knew to got it done around 10 minutes. When i go home, my face is no swelling at all. Just got some sore at the local ansthesia but when i took Tylenol, pain is gone. So i recommend someone who want to take extraction that you should come to see him. He is really friendly too.

I just got 2 of my wisdom teeth taken out today and to be honest, it was not painful… Dr. Vuong was great through the entire process, he translated to my dad so he could understand, too. He exposed and extracted my teeth another time and I felt fine. The staff are very kind, friendly, and helpful. I got referred to go here to get my 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Ron Vuong did a great job. I highly recommend. More detailed story: First appointment I got scheduled for an consultation / evaluation of my teeth. My dentist suggested I get all 4 wisdom teeth removed. But I discussed with Dr. Vuong about only taking out my bottom 2 wisdom which were impacted (my choice). Impacted wisdom teeth is a serious problem! My upper 2 wisdom teeth were growing straight which were fine. I booked my 2nd appointment to remove my 2 bottom wisdom teeth out in a month or so. This place is very busy! Got my gums numb. It just stings a bit. Wait until the gums are fully numb. Drilling… extracting…. sewing…. done! I only felt pressure during the entire process. Went home with instructions, gauze, syringe for cleaning, prescription for antibiotics and painkillers. Ate only mash potatoes, apple sauce, chocolate pudding, tapioca pudding, ice cream, and rice porridge for a couple of weeks. LOL Used ice packs for swelling. Funny thing is that I never needed to take painkillers. Only take painkillers if it hurts. The sutures dissolved, and I had a follow up appointment to check how my mouth was healing. Everything was greattt I got my 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed at age 21.

A huge thank you to Dr. Vuong! The best most compassionate doctor I’ve ever encountered! You’re always worried when these types of surgeries are done. Especially when in the past I’ve had a bad memorable experience with my orthodontist who extracted my 2 teeth prior for braces. Dr. Vuong’s surgeon technique is obviously superior yet he’s very gentle and through out always checks on me to see if I’m feeling any discomfort or pain which I didn’t. It was painless, fast, timing was on point. Such an incredibly amazing genuinely kind doctor!

Excellent Oral Surgeon. I had Dr. Vuong as my oral surgeon to get my wisdom tooth extracted. Don’t let his young looks fool you–he is indeed, very good at what he does. As I walked through the office to get an Full 360 degree Xrays of my teeth, I was impressed by the awesome looking, high tech equipment used. It looked like something out of a science fiction film. Probably costs millions too. Anyway, as I stood there, and the machine rotated around me to take the xrays, it was pretty cool to get a real time look at the development of the x-ray film on the computer monitor right in front of you. Afterwards was the consultation. He greeted me warmly, and shook my hands firmly. He introduced himself and went over the X-ray with me. Dr. Vuong does not belittle but treats you with respect and explains the X-rays with you as if you were another doctor. He trusts you enough to let you know the in-depth details of the procedure you are about to undertake. And that folks, is what separate regular doctors from outstanding physicians. All-in-all, the procedure took 5 minutes. I underwent local anesthesia, but he numbed it so well that I didn’t feel anything. All I felt was pressure from extracting the tooth. This procedure was more pain-free than getting my cavities filled! I was simply awestruck by such an amazing talent in tooth extraction. Dr. Vuong made sure I didn’t feel pain as he would ask me throughout the procedure every 30 seconds. He was talking throughout the procedure as if we were carrying on an everyday conservation, and before you know it… it was all over!! After I got home, he also gave me a follow-up call 6 hours later, just to make sure I was feeling okay! Dr. Vuong’s professionalism and myriad of experience will calm any anxiety. If every tooth extraction was like this, I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again, and again, and again. A+++ Doctor.

I was referred for Dentist Vuong from my general dentist for a complicated wisdom tooth extraction case. Dentist Vuong extracted it in 5 minutes with ease and in his full confidence. No pain. No waiting, I got admitted within 5 minutes of arrival and the removal procedure took like 30 minutes including x-ray and numbing . The office is clean, office workers are friendly. Dentist Vuong is is super friendly, experienced, skillful and knowledgeable. He even personally followed up to make sure I was OK. Great work Dentist Vuong. Dr. Ron An Vuong is really great! He was a great find because my mom always likes it when I go to a Vietnamese doctor because it’s easier for her to talk to him, and it was good for me, too, since he went to UCLA, so he’s well spoken in English, too. He’s a really nice guy. His staff is very friendly, too. They are very thorough and give you frequent reminders about your appt and what to/what not to do for before and after your surgery. Dr. Vuong really makes himself available to you. He even said for me to call him on his cell phone in case of an emergency. He even called me a few hours after my surgery to see how I was doing! Now if only the actually process of getting your wisdom teeth taken out was easy :(. I am a chipmunk for NYE.

Two bottom wisdom teeth removed 🙂 The staff was very nice! Dr. Pham drilled my teeth very well that it didn’t hurt during the process. All I felt was a lot of shifting back and forth. He cut down my teeth into pieces so he can take them out easier. I recommend getting a shot in your gums to make your jaw numb before the surgery. He said that you can get a risk while put to sleep such as having your heart stop suddenly. He gave a prescription for some pills to take away the pain. So I took it before the numb fades, and omg my jaw starts to ache after the numb disappears. The pill kinda helped. I slept for about 4 hours with gauge on and I didn’t feel a lot pain anymore after I woke up. I took out the gauge because I don’t bleed alot. And my face was not bruised so I’m happy 🙂 I ate porridge and banh mi just fin. I got 80% of the whole surgery paid off because of the insurance I have! Totally recommend this place!

First off, I am one of the biggest dental chickens ever. so when my general dentist told me that I had two of my wisdom teeth removed, I was depressed for weeks. Finally I had the courage to call in, to make my appointment to see dr.Vuong, then I felt so much better when I read some of these positive yelp reviews. I just left his office today, and have to say the man made me so comfortable and i barely felt any pain (even during the numbing of my mouth phase).
He explained what he was gonna do for me thoroughly, so that made me much more comfortable, during the consultation. During the procedure he talked to to me and asked if I was doing OK and didn’t rush things, so I wld definitely recommend dr.Vuong to all my friends and family for sure.

My daughter’s orthodontist recommended to have her wisdom teeth extracted to continue with her treatment. We went for a consultation and ended up scheduling and canceling the procedure twice. The first visit (I purposely did not let her know) during the pre-op she supposedly had a lil cold. The second visit, she was dragging her feet and tearing the whole way there. Once on the exam table, tears ran down her terrified face broke my heart and I had to cancel the procedure. Mind you, she’s only 12 yrs old and I can imagine the emotion that was going through her. The doctor and staff were so kind and understanding when we backed out of it. Thank you for not making me feel uncomfortable for canceling twice and taking up a slot that could have potentially be reserved for other patients. It was really easy to schedule an appointment at Dr. Vuong’s office because the staff was really accommodating. I was able to have a new patient consultation and my wisdom teeth extraction on the same day. I had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Vuong under local anesthesia. Getting my wisdom teeth removed under local anesthesia was a quick and painless process. Dr. Vuong was really attentive to ensure that I didn’t feel any pain during the whole process. Dr.Vuong also gave me a call the following day to ensure that I was feeling well. I was really happy that I able to eat normally 2 days after my wisdom teeth extraction. Dr. Vuong’s cash prices for his wisdom teeth removal are definitely reasonable. Dr.Vuong also doesn’t recommend any unnecessary procedures unlike other oral surgeon/dental offices I’ve gone to. Dr. An Vuong literally saved my mum’s life. What started out as a rotten tooth became seriously infected. Mum has alzheimers and she’s not able to maintain her hygiene as it should be. She recently complained of toothache, so we took her to see Dr. Vuong. He went ahead and pulled the infected tooth and at the same time notified us that the infected area was significantly damaged. Instead just giving mum some antibiotics like most dentists would, he immediately checked her into the emergency room to stop the inflection from spreading further. It was so severe that she needed aggressive antibiotics through IV injection. We were informed that if the infection was not contained it would spread through her neck and to her heart, and the result would be deadly. When mum stayed in the hospital for 7 days, Dr. Vuong would visit her twice a day (yes, you heard it correctly) once in the morning and once at night. Each time he would stick his hand in her mouth and examine the infected area to make sure it was healing properly. I have never encountered such a caring, compassionate, human being that I saw in Dr. Vuong. He’s a Godsend to our community. With sincerest gratitude and appreciation to Dr. An Vuong. I would highly recommend Dr. Vuong for all your dental needs. The Pham Family
