After visiting so many Dentistries; we finally came to a Awesome Denistry (Origin Dental). I could go into detail about our unfortunate runins, but I’ll just get to the Meat and Potatoes. Very Clean, Great Staff and AWESOME Dentist. I cannot say enough on how well they treated my Family and I, during our visits. The Dentist is Very Detailed in his explanations, Very thorough with his examinations and very Professional (He does have a sense of humor). In addition to the detail diagnosis and his exceptional attention to detail, he also gives his patients several options when weighing in on cost and procedures. Never making you feel like your Stuck with just one option moving forward. If your in search of  a well Rounded Dentistry and it won’t break your Bank. Then, I employ you, to try (Origin Dental) out. I promise you will thank yourself and you Will Not regret it.

I just completed my second appointment in a week with Dr Tran, and I can’t speak highly enough of him and his staff. My original appointment was to feel them out as I’ve had some less than positive dental experiences over the last couple years and hadn’t found a good fit for a dentist. My search has ended and I’m very pleased with my choice! Dr Tran was thorough, patient, kind, and I didn’t feel a bit of pressure from him one time to choose a service which I have felt from many other dentists. He confirmed the need for some filling changes that past dentists had, and I finally felt comfortable enough to pull the trigger. He replaced 4 old fillings today and the process was timely and seamless as far as I can tell. Also I asked about a retainer on my last visit a week ago and they had them ready today already! Very clean office, friendly and attentive staff, extreme professionalism in a warm environment and the dental assistant shamim? Sorry if I spelled it wrong it’s been like a week, she’s a young lady and was beyond pleasant. Highly recommend

Dr Tran is such a nice and trustworthy dentist! Since I moved I was having a hard time to find a dentist which I could trust it wouldn’t push me tons of unnecessary treatments. Honestly I was delaying to seek for a dentist because I was so hard for me not knowing a friend I could rely to ask a recommendation. So I access Yelp and I decide to give Dr Tran a chance. When I get there, he is transparent and tells me I had a cavity inside another jacket (oh nooo) but then I tell him I didn’t to do a root canal since I never had one. And he replies it will depend in the amount of pain I will have afterwards (if after 10 years of putting a new jacket, if pain persists then a root canal is necessary) but God is so good that by Dr Tran hands the jacket was successfully done. It was relieving to see a person not pushing me just to earn extra treatment.It’s been already two years since I chose him as my personal dentist. Prices are fair, and if you have a dental insurance most likely you won’t need for cleaning and maintenance.  I super recommend him!!

I’m not a fan of having my teeth worked on. That being said Dr. Tran and his entire staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. My two trips to this dentist office have been by far the best dental experiences I’ve had in my life. They help take the worry and fear of going to the dentist away. 10 out of 10 recommend to a friend!

Not going to lie, I first picked Dr. Tran based on how well his office looks! Modern furniture and contemporary interior design lol probably not the best criteria to use to select a dentist… but! My instinct was right! Things went so well I don’t even know where to start. I used to go to a dentist who always try to up-sell me. So I have been wanting to find a new dentist. I came across this yelp page and thought I would give origin dental a try since it’s close to my home. Dr. Tran and his staff were very professional, his office is super clean and is equipped with the latest technologies. My first appointment was at 4pm and it didn’t end until 7pm (long story). They were super friendly and patient and did not mind at all that they had to stay late to take care of me. During my second appointment I felt so comfortable I almost fell asleep! I particularly love their online scheduling tool, and their exceptional communications. These days I don’t think it’s easy to find a dentist who would call you on his days off to check on you!

I have not been the best about routine dental check-ups with my local dentist, I admit, because over time I got more skeptical that their recommendations were based purely on best practices. Suddenly, I needed a lot of fillings replaced, expensive toothpaste, and antibiotic treatments that my insurance didn’t cover which deterred me from making more regular appointments. However, one weekend while I was visiting family in San Diego, I noticed my teeth feeling super sensitive. I was sure I had a cavity, or worse, needed a more costly procedure like a root canal. But I was in a bit of discomfort and decided to schedule a check-up at Origin Dental, which was recommended by a friend. I was skeptical at first because of my past experiences, but Dr. Tran and his staff were so welcoming and reassuring–they prepped me right away for care. Dr. Tran reviewed my X-rays and photos with me, and noted some receding gums on two of my upper teeth. He said no fillings needed, but bonding would definitely help with the sensitivity! I was ecstatic to hear this! It’s been a month and my teeth have not had any issues since! My anxiety about going to the dentist was lifted. No one tried to upsell any unnecessary procedures, and I was in and out, easy peasy! Although I live in Los Angeles, I plan to travel to San Diego for future appointments with Dr. Tran. He made switching to his practice a no brainer for me.

Had a last minute dental emergency on my birthday, complete with my own insurance’s website being down making everything more complicated and awful. BUT everyone in the office was super nice and patient and made me feel a lot better in what otherwise would have been a totally miserable morning. The staff and equipment all seem super modern and efficient, they even got big screens with Netflix to help keep your mind off things during the downtime! Great team all around who genuinely want to help, not looking to take advantage of a flustered fool with fillings falling out cause she waited too long. Dont be like me! Go get your teeth dealt with before it gets worse!

Dr Tran and crew are great. They always take excellent care of my teeth and I’ve been in for both just routine procedures like cleanings and fillings and also more involved procedures. I just finished with getting an implant after the bridge that had previously been there (applied by a different dentist) failed. It was a lot of work (removing the bridge, crowns on either side, and then the implant itself) but Dr. Tran, Sandra and Lovely at the front desk worked great with me through the whole thing. All around really couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!!

I was recommended here by one of my good friends. I have had some great, some so-so and some really terrible experiences at the dental office so I was quite skeptical when she mentioned I should go here. Little did I know, Dr. Tran and his staff are the needle in the haystack that I’ve been looking for in my dental home. Dr. Tran was so attentive to my needs and anxiety about the visit. He explained every little thing and even offered me the “whitening for life” promotion they have for all their new patients! I had NO IDEA! Katrina was really friendly and kind. She reassured me that the X-rays and gum measurements wouldn’t be comfortable but that we would get through them quickly and efficiently! She even offered me coffee. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone looking to find their dental home forever!

Finding a general dentist amidst a pandemic can be daunting, but I’m very glad my searches led me here! The entire process, from registration to treatment to communication with the entire team has been nothing short of exceptional. Their office is located conveniently off the 805 and the interior is modern and clean without a speck of dust! I cannot commend the team at Origin Dental enough for their balance between professionalism and bright personalities. Dr. Tran especially was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule and offer a quick consultation regarding orthodontic treatment. The team’s humor, from Lovely to Sandra to Carolina, made me feel welcome, relaxed, and delighted to be there– something you don’t hear often about a dental office. I can also confidently say after my own experiences, if you’re looking for a thorough and gentle hygienist, Michael is definitely the person you’re looking for! Communication with treatment plans, confirming appointments, and answering any questions I had were quick and efficient. Having worked in the dental field before, I could tell the staff was seasoned and very knowledgable. Knowing this, they were still very thorough with their explanations and made sure I understood everything they were doing. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re still searching, well search no further!!

Origin dental has been amazing! I highly recommend them to anyone who asks if I know of a good dentist. A few months ago I was about to lose my insurance (due to turning 26) and would be switching to new insurance that is not as good. The office was able to get me in right away and work with me. Unfortunately I needed a root canal and that threw a rench in things because my insurance was going to end in 2 days. They were great and got me in the next day so my insurance would still cover the root canal and cavities I needed filled while I still had the better insurance. After my root canal they were able to help me with the new insurance to get the rest of the procedure finished and payed for. I was able to watch Netflix during the procedure and felt 100% at ease. A few days ago the tooth I had the root canal on was starting to hurt. I gave them a call and they were able to get me in on a Saturday to have them take a look at it. I was very worried that I was going to need major dental work. Luckily they took some X-rays and all I needed was an adjustment on the crown. My mouth already feels better just a few hours later. To anyone looking for a great dentist and staff this is the place to go. Easy parking, clean and calm experience with Netflix! And a doctor that I know I can trust. As long as I live in San Diego origin dental will always my my dental office of choice.

My husband and I were referred by my brother to come see Dr. Tran at Origin Dental. My brother (now an orthodontist) attended the same dental school and graduated the same year. He HIGHLY recommended Dr. Tran because of his distinguished skill, knowledge, and character. After being a patient for several years, we can confidently say that Dr. Tran is the best dentist out there- for someone who has seen MANY dentists, what I appreciate about Dr. Tran most is that he stands out as someone who is exceptionally gifted, wise, and someone who truly cares! He is informative, takes his time to answer any questions, and he clearly demonstrates excellence and integrity in all aspects of his practice. I also can’t say enough about the staff- they are incredibly friendly and helpful. 🙂 I really can’t say enough good things about this practice! For the first time in my life, I look forward to dentist visits and am confident we have found our dentist for life. Lastly, I have to note that we just had our most recent appointments today and despite Covid, we felt very safe. It is clear that Origin Dental prioritizes patient care and safety! Thank you, Dr. Tran!!!! We are grateful that you are the dentist you are 🙂

YEWWWWWW!! I was looking for a new dentist and found this place while randomly browsing the web. What caught my eye as soon as I went onto their website were the photos of the office- clean, modern, cute decor, FARM DOORS, and my favorite colors (i need the chairs in the lobby). I mean seriously, the details put into this office is awesome! I called to see if they accepted my insurance, and it took a little longer to hear back than I had anticipated but luckily was able to schedule myself in for the upcoming week. The office is located in the same plaza as Opera Patisserie but a little deeper in. The door to the office is a little hidden but it is right next to the laser center, to the left of their entrance (I walked the whole building to find the door). As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the ladies at the front and quickly guided me over to the computer where I fill out my paperwork. It was short and sweet. Katrina was SO AMAZING. She talked me through everything, was extremely professional, and passionate about being a RDH. The process from the panoramic x-ray, examination, and cleaning my teeth- she did it quick and thoroughly!! I was in the office for almost 2 hours and i kid you not it felt like 30 minutes. Up to date equipment, large TV for Netflix, and just an overall feeling of calmness in such a frightening environment for some. Dr. Tran made recommendations in areas that he felt were best for oral care and prevention. He was very upfront about procedures and assured that there was nothing to be afraid of- especially crowns! He was extremely personable, knowledgable, and professional! As soon as he sees you, all prices are laid out and discussed before proceeding. Overall my whole visit went smooth, and I was extremely impressed with this office! Nothing like i’ve ever experienced and everyone seemed to genuinely care. Such a great feeling to be able to come to a place where things seem so mellow and relaxing, IRONIC! I love their music selection too! Great vibes all around…. I’m obsessed! I would definitely recommend!!

A couple weeks ago I had dental pain on my front tooth I came into Origin Dental to get an exam, my first thought when I entered the office was how modern and clean it was. I checked in with Berenice and it took me only a few minutes to fill out my forms on their fast check in computer, my wait time in the front was the shortest I’ve ever waited for an appointment. Unique, the dental assistant, brought me back and took some x rays she even put on Netflix for me while I was in the chair. After getting my xrays done Dr.Tran did his exam and explained everything to me as far as work that needed to be done. Dr.Tran showed me pictures of my teeth, went into detail about everything and made it easy for me to understand why certain things needed to be done . My front tooth had a big infection and needed a root canal so we started treatment that day Dr.Tran opened the tooth and cleaned out the infection I was put on antibiotics and yesterday I went back to finish the root canal. Bottom line I Love Origin Dental !! Dr.Tran and his staff really care about their patients and they make you feel comfortable, I totally forget I’m at the dentist when I’m there. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist !

Love this dental office starting with the office location conveniently off the 805 freeway. Dr. Tran is amazing pays attention to details and is thorough with explaining what treatment is needed staff is amazing, polite, courteous, helpful and well trained. The office is very clean and the ambience is beautiful and relaxing and they’re fallowing all necessary guidelines during covid-19. We trust Origin Dental for all our dental needs. Thank you Origin Dental I will definitely recommend your office to friends and family.

Let me just start by saying that I, like many others, HATE going to the dentist. The waiting, the xrays, the drills, the fills, the shots in the back of your throat… how fun! It is way at the bottom of my list, just below stabbing myself in the leg numerous times… HOWEVER I have to say, after visiting this dental office my hatred for the dentist has diminished. These people are completely changing what it means to go to the dentist. I picked this office because of their great yelp reviews and also I was able to schedule and provide all my insurance info on their website. I also love that they text you to remind you and confirm your appointment. Best things about this office… 1. NO WAITING.. that’s right. It’s a small but super cute office, and it seems they only see one patient at a time, so as soon as I arrived, all attention was on me…as it should be! 2. TECH SAVVY: From the computer where you fill out your info, to the impressive 3D xray unit – everything seems to be top-of-the-line. They blew up my teeth on the big screen TV, and I saw things in my mouth I had never seen before! 3. THEY’RE SO NICE! I have never felt so welcome at any doctor’s office before! Dr. Tran was really good at explaining the condition of my teeth and the treatment that I needed (not as bad as I thought, thank goodness!) Berenice was also very knowledgeable and informative about what my insurance did and didn’t cover. Even the doctors assistant, Unique, was so warm, friendly, and super funny. I felt right at home! 4. TOTALLY PAINLESS! I mean, I didn’t even feel that dreaded shot in the back of my throat. I don’t know how he managed it, but Dr. Tran’s shot technique is ON POINT! The cleaning, the xrays, the dental chair (more comfortable than my any sofa I’ve ever owned), everything was so amazing, I actually was snoozing in and out. This has never happened to me at the dentist, I literally felt like I was at a spa! I could go on and on about this office, but I’ll summarize it by sayinig I am a patient for life! Great job Origin Dental!

The way you greet a customer that walks into your business sets the tone for the rest of their experience. That being said I was very impressed from the moment I walked into the office. The staff was friendly and face me a warm greeting. The office was squeaky clean and new which is a plus! The appointment started on time. Katrina was the first to assist me in my visit. She is a very thorough and knowledgeable hygienist and made a smooth transition to Dr. Tran who was very welcoming and informative as well. He was honest and gave me the best advice as to which procedures are necessary and which are optional or not as urgent. This is helpful for a graduate student like myself on a tight budget. I’ll def be back and would recommend a visit at Origin.

This is a great new dental practice in a very convenient location. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and great at explaining treatments and your insurance and payment options. If you are nervous about visiting the dentist or just unsure about what treatment you’re getting and why, then this is the place for you. Its a nice environment to visit and all the staff are super friendly. They make you feel welcome, relaxed and confident, and you never feel rushed. Everything is geared around what’s best for you the patient. I had a check up and full clean and it was quick, friendly, convenient and painless. I came away with a bigger smile and I will be back for sure. For the first time I feel I have a dentist working in my best interest, no smoke and mirrors, no jargon and no unexpected bills, just great service and trusted advice.

I have been coming here to see Dr. Tran for the past two years. I use to dread going to the dentist office before I switched over to his office. Most dentists I have interacted with felt more transactional than genuine care about my teeth. Dr. Tran really takes his time to educate and make you feel welcome the whole time you are there. I picked his practice at first based on close proximity to my last job but after switching to a new job. I still make the trip down to see him! No way am I changing dentists when it took me this long to find a good one! Even my fiancé goes here now after my recommendation lol COVID Update: The office is well organized and there is hand sanitizers placed around the office. I can see that the staff are very diligent about cleaning and wiping down surfaces. When you check in, they take your temperature and only patients are allowed in. The times I was in for my clearcorrect trays, there was only another patient in the waiting area with me. I felt safe and socially distanced from the other patients!

I had been going to a different dental office who only wanted to replace a bunch of older crowns although there was nothing wrong with them, at a cost of about $2,500. I did some research for a second opinion and Origin Dental had great reviews! I made an appointment and I have been thrilled with them ever since! I highly recommend them!!

Origin Dental is a modernized dental practice. Dr. Tran is courteous, professional, very thorough, and a genuinely nice person. The Origin Dental staff receives kudos too, for the same attributes as Dr. Tran. Their Dental Hygienist Katrina deserves as much credit as the rest of the staff. They’ve cleaned, X-rayed, filled cavities, built bridges, etc. They’ve gone out of their way to make a cast & have a bridge made for me in the short time I’m here this year. Last year Origin Dental did the same by fitting both my wife and I for cleaning, X-rays, and fillings on the SAME DAY!!! We travel to the Carlsbad area every year to visit family and I’ve not found a better dentist EVER!!! I highly recommend Origin Dental. I’m almost certain they will be my dental office for the rest of my life! If you need a dentist call ORIGIN DENTAL!!!
