Dr. Flamer-Caldera is far and away the best dentist I’ve ever had. I broke my right front tooth in half in a biking accident when I was 5 years old. For years the tooth was a different shape and color than the other. Dr. Flamer-Caldera made them look identical. She did such a great job that, to friends and family, I refer to Dr. Flamer-Caldera as my “artist dentist.” Beyond how skilled she is as a clinician, she has built an office with amazing culture. The positivity of the entire group leads to a great experience for everyone. Thank you so much for everything!

I dont know why I was filtered!..Anywho. I tttotally disagree.. I actually look forward to coming to the dentist BECAUSE of this office. Its well manicured, great energy and one of the nicest medical professionals I’ve encountered. Dr. Caldera shows me genuine compassion, and does the best work I’ve seen. My teeth look soooo natural She has done my cousins laminates (which don’t look like those huge super white horse teeth looking veneers that all the stars have), and she did my cosmetic bonding (I had huge spaces in between all of my top teeth, but no more thanks to her!) Everyone tells me that I’m lucky to have been born with perfect teeth, and my response is “Go see my dentist..You too can be born with a perfect smile!!” Her office has a very warm feel and look…and makes me want to meditate (how ironic!) To the reviewer Ro N., who the heck is Terry and Eddie? I have been going to Dr Caldera for 2 yrs and have never encountered anyone with those names! And Jen B, I have never had a billing issue. She submits my procedure to my insurance(Delta) and then sends me a bill in 3 wks for my patient portion. Before I started with Delta insurance, I had Metlife (who she is not a part of) and she STILL submitted to my insurance for me., so I didnt have to .!!Are you guys sure you have criticized the right doctor!! lol… Anywho, I will not be switching dentists anytime soon .. I love her and her super nice staff..

Everyone in the office was delightful and took the time to answer any questions I had. If you hate going to the dentist Dr. Flamer-Caldera will come your nerves and make you as comfortable as possible. Beyond the excellent bedside manner, she is also the most knowledge and articulate dentist I have had the pleasure of meeting. I highly recommend her!

Everyone at this practice is wonderful and kind. I have a lot of intricate dental work needed to be done so I wanted to come to a place where I felt safe. And I feel that way here! The doctor is compassionate and good at what she does. Her assistant is awesome too! The fillings that I just got are virtually invisible! I’ve never cared too much about aesthetics as long as my teeth were healthy. Well, they care about both. Also, I don’t think I’ve every actually had a good time at a dental appointment until now. Will definitely keep going back! 

Before I start gushing about Dr. Flamer-Caldera, I need to rave a bit about her hygienist!!! She was the sweetest and most informative hygienist I’ve ever had, so gentle and explained everything she was doing thoroughly and clearly. She totally made my anxiety disappear within a minute of being there. Also played music! Now onto Dr. Flamer-Caldera…AMAZING. She hasn’t even officially done anything to me yet, but I am going back in a couple days to get a cavity filled and I am actually looking forward to it. At the end of my appointment, the doctor came in and sat down with me after reviewing the pictures and let me know exactly what the next steps were and informed me on proper home care and why these things happen. I am one of those people who hates the dentist but thanks to both the hygienist and Dr. Flamer-Caldera I officially LOVE the dentist.

I would recommend Dr Flamer-Caldera to anyone looking for a dentist in NYC. Her entire team has incredible bedside manner, making you feel taken care of and super comfortable. I have never had such a positive experience visiting the dentist so especially recommend for anyone who is nervous or apprehensive about dentist visits in general! I just transferred to a new insurance so had to switch dentists and am so sad about it!!!

Dr. Flamer Caldera is a top notch dentist. She is extremely professional, very personable and exceptionally careful and thorough. I have seen her multiple times over many years and have had nothing but great experiences even during complex procedures. You can’t go wrong with her.

Dr Flamer-Caldera is the best dentist ever! She cured me from my dentist-phobia and I’ve been loyal to her for years now. In my very first visits, I’d cry like a baby because I was so afraid of any of the procedures (even though they were not invasive at all). She is a very soft spoken, kind and gentle and it was easy for her to gain my trust. She always takes her time and never rushes. Really, the best dentist ever!

The whole staff is great! Other clients clearly feel at home there, and I found the environment. I have been thinking about dental hygiene and general well-being information Dr. Lorna Flamer-Caldera mentioned ever since our visit! The office is cozy and feels clean and comfortable and bright. It’s right Washington Square Park, too, so the trees are nice to look at on the way to and from the office as well as during the appointment. This is a five-star situation. 

As a brand-new patient, I was given an emergency appointment the same day I called—and on a Friday. And amazingly, I was given a second appointment to finish the post-impression procedure, still on the same day! Dr. Flamer-Caldera was terrific, with extremely tuned-in bedside manner and very gentle touch. I had complete confidence in her commitment to good health and excellent, artistic work. She couldn’t have been more accommodating; her staff are also fabulous!

Dr. Lorna Flamer-Caldera was extremely nice, professional, willing to answer all of my questions, and talk to me through my procedure. My visit was wonderful and the staff were very kind, informative, and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

Is it sadistic to love your dentist? I sort of feel like the crazy guy from Little Shop of Horrors writing this, but Dr. Flamer-Caldera is AMAZING. Have you ever been to the dentist and had the DENTIST clean your teeth? I have. That’s because on my first visit she sat down next to that chair and started chipping away at 18 months worth of tartar. It had been a while. She was concerned that I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while, but was kind and practical about how to continue to keep a healthy mouth. I went to Dr. Flamer-Caldera on the recommendation of about 10 other (former) colleagues. She’s absolutely fabulous and actually listens to your concerns. I’ve had some teeth that were a little wonky and she noticed that I didn’t like them and actually asked whether I’d like them fixed — which I did but didn’t realize that was an option — and then we made an appointment for the following week and she performed a minor miracle in my mouth. I keep asking people “do you like my new tooth?” and they keep saying “which one?”. That’s a good sign. She’s an artist. Also, I’m into the as-natural-as-possible dental care options and she is too. Makes for a nice fit. In addition to this, she’s a delightful person who has a sense of humor and you can tell that dentistry is more than just a paycheck for her. it’s a passion. She’ll tell it like it is (e.g. FLOSS!), but she’ll say it with a smile and without condescending. She also has a cast of delightful characters in reception and other assistants–and it’s been easy to make appointments. Highly recommended.
