Let’s just say my mouth is a “fixer-upper”. I needed a LOT of work. Through multiple dentist offices, I’ve been through great doctors with bad offices, and amateurs with brilliant offices. This one feels just right. My dental doctor is Mike Nguyen. He was direct and personable. I think he likes what he does, which is always a good sign, especially in a case like me. All the staff and assistants are super-cool. Polite and make you about as comfortable as you can feel in a dentist chair. Richard, the guy that handles the money is phenomenal. That guy gets mad props!

3 weeks later: Got my porcelain veneers! For the first time in 20 years I actually have a smile I can be proud of! Friends and family are jealous, and I’m sending them all here. Dr. Nguyen is an artist! Carolyn always welcomes with a smile and is a fantastic assistant. Came in over the weekend for about 5 additional fillings. Took about 30 minutes, and look great. Can’t thank these professionals enough. This is dentistry done right. Thanks again guys for an amazing experience. I actually look forward to my check-up in 6 months!

I’ve had previous trouble with my dentist because the ortho process took forever and they made me go through so much work for nothing.  I even reported them to BBB. I looked for another dentist who does ortho and found PHD. I am very happy with their service and I’ve never had trouble with them at all, even with scheduling appointments. Their office is big and clean and they have enough room for a lot of people. I would suggest this office to my family and friends because they have a good staff. *shout out to Darlene and Evelyn*

Fantastic experience and I HATE going to the dentist! Patrick did an excellent job numbing me for my deep cleaning, Armando was kind & courteous during x-rays, front desk staff worked with me on a payment plan for costs my insurance didn’t cover and Dr. Nguyen explained everything carefully, making sure I understood more about dental health. I’m sorry to be leaving the Costa Mesa after looking for 15 years to find a GREAT dental office!

I am so grateful, Yesterday I had a root canal, it was fast, professional and I am finally feeling better. I have had a tooth ache for over two weeks. I had been experiencing problems at my prior dentist office and was scheduled to have the root canal done next year, mid January. I could not bear being in pain for this long and I was also charged a hefty price despite having a ppo insurance. A good friend told me about PHDG and they saved me!!!! Needless to say I can rest assured that I now know where to go for my future dental care. THANK YOU PACIFIC HARBOR DENTAL GROUP.

Moved to SoCal 7 years ago.  Took me 5 years to find the right dentist!  I am extremely happy with the care I get from Pacific Harbor Dental.  Prior two experiences were NOT good…one said I needed all my crowns replaced but never mentioned by gums; second one said my crowns were fine but I needed deep cleaning on entire mouth.  Pacific Dental said “someone did excellent work on your crowns” and “you do not need a deep cleaning at this point.”  Who can you trust?  I say trust Pacific Harbor Dental based on my experience.

We are new to this office and I just had a good experience with them. The staff is friendly, Dr. Nguyen could see I was nervous so he was thoughtful and careful with my procedure and I was in and out of there in 2 hours with a completed porcelain crown (no temporary needed) which looks and feels great. We’ve had some bad dental experiences in the past so I’m thankful to find them.

I would give this place more stars if I could! Came in as an emergency when my wisdom tooth bothered me so much, that I could barely eat. And people who know my phat ass know that’s a problem! I called in and was told to come in right away. No wait. One quick x-ray confirmed the infection I feared I had all a long, and 5 minutes later I was cradling my fully formed wisdom tooth in my arms like a proud new parent. The best part of all was that Dr. Nguyen made this all happen with ZERO pain. None. Nada. Then again, I love going to the dentist, unlike some whiny bitches that get scared by the sound of the drill. Anyways, I would highly recommend coming here. Get your teethers fixed, and then go to (frozen yogurt store) next door to get something for the swelling. 😉

I had a great experience here! I haven’t been to the dentist in over 5 years and was really nervous about going in. From the moment I walked in the staff was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. From start to finish with Dr. Nguyen I never felt like any question was a dumb one [He invited questions]. This was the best dentist experience I’ve had so far. I needed to get 3 cavities replaced, and he went above and beyond to make sure that they were better than what I had before. Before he started the work, the office made sure I knew what I was paying for and I never felt pressured to get more than what I needed. I could’ve taken a nap while he was working on my teeth, that’s how easy it was. Overall it was a great experience and I won’t be worried coming in on my next visit 🙂

Many thanks to Dr. Nguyen and his staff for a completely professional experience. It’s usually very difficult for me to find a trustworthy and reliable medical professional and was looking for an affordable new dentist in my neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised with how my experience was here. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Nguyen was very thorough in walking me through the whole process and was very generous with his time and attention. I never felt pressured into getting any dental work I did not want to do, but was given wonderful insight and recommendations that I had never been provided in past dental visits.

Years of bad decisions and self destruction was deteriorating my smile, my overall health and my confidence. It’s been painful to road fixing my teeth but it was so worth it. Thank you to Pacific Harbor Dental for everything. They were patient, kind, honest and did an amazing job.

He is super knowledgeable and explains exactly what he is doing before each procedure. He is patient and answers all my questions.He has completely transformed my smile over these years, and I couldn’t be happier. I am a patient of Dr. Nguyen.  I have had a lot of dental work done recently and honestly was nervous.  Dr. Nguyen and his staff made me feel very comfortable and at ease when they went over my procedures.   As for their work, they did an incredible job and gave me a beautiful smile.  I couldn’t be happier.  I have will continue to return for all future work because I’m very comfortable there and I know the work they do is amazing.   Best part is it’s cost friendly too.   I would personally like to thank Dr. Nguyen and his staff. This Dental Group is GREAT! I have bounced from dentist to dentist since i have lived in So Cal and so far they have been the best! Everyone is so friendly and so respectful. The dental care is awesome and thorough, they are very timely and affordable. The office is welcoming and clean, love them!

First time patient! I was a bit worried at first but they were kind enough to address my concerns before my visit. During my visit, staff was a pleasant and friendly. Office was very clean. I was seen very fast and was CLEARLY explained everything up front. I was able to ask questions and they were clearly addressed. I chose to pay extra for some services outside of my insurance coverage. The services were reasonably priced and less expensive than my last visit to another dental office were that wanted (much more than) what I was quoted here. The procedure was done immediately and was painless!!! Thank you Kiki and Tiffany, I actually had fun, it was a pleasure and will see you soon!

I know a lot of people are scared or afraid to go to the dentist and I am no different.

I went to Pacific Harbor Dental and it was such a great experience that I had to recommend them!

I was skeptical about first coming in due to some negative reviews I had seen in the past but I was referred by a friend who had a good experience with the doctor. When I first arrived, I was quickly greeted by all the front office staff members. All them were really down the earth and they even offered me a cup of coffee while I was waiting to be seen from the Keurig machine they had in the lobby.

I was then called in by Carolyn to do a set of X-rays and she explained to me the whole process which made it easier for me since I have not actually been to the dentist I quite some time. The office was really long and it felt like a mile to walk to the restroom!  Dr. Nguyen did a thorough exam and told me that I needed a couple fillings and a deep cleaning. He did a good job of taking his time to show me x-rays and even better, he spent the time talking to me about myself and my hobbies. After a 20 minute conversation, I felt more comfortable in trusting him to work on my mouth.  After arranging all the money issues, I was able to start my fillings the same day and was able to schedule my deep cleaning on the weekend. They set me up under a payment plan so I didn’t have to pay everything at once which was always really helpful as well. Overall, great service, funny/friendly staff, and actually had a little bit of fun going the the dentist…

Dr. Micheal Nguyen is phenomenal.  My father is a retired Dentist and taught at USC. I had to find a new dentist for my needs and from my insurance and reviews found this awesome office.  Had a deep cleaning, x-x-rays, filling, and laser.  Fast, efficient, painless, and the office staff was super professional.  I highly recommend this office.

Had an amazing experience with all staff at PHDG for one of the most unpleasant things you can experience… impacted wisdom teeth. Dr. Michael & his team were courteous, helpful and sharp. I had to get all 4 wisdom teeth extracted via oral surgery and the money aspect and the overall procedure were huge stress factors to me. Everything went beyond smooth, and I was able to utilize their in-house payment plan option for my co-pay which I am so grateful for. Overall, I cannot recommend PHDG enough. I come all the way from Long Beach and it’s absolutely, doubtlessly worth the drive.

Great office. Great staff. From the front desk, to the dental assistants to the doctors. My first visit was today. I was there for a cleaning and they found cavities. They did everything for me right there on the spot. I was there for almost 3 hours and was never left alone in my chair – they were working on me the whole time. I was very impressed by this dental group. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.

Very friendly and great experience i have had the worst phobia of dentist and this place made me feel so comfortable they gave me head phones and let me listen to music while they worked on my teeth i will be coming back from here on out. They also worked with my financial problem very clean and professional. 5 stars no doubt!

I have been going here for a few years now! Dr Nguyen is the best dentist I’ve ever seen! & believe me I’ve seen many dentists since a near death car wreck ruined my mouth & teeth when I was 16 years old! They are very nice very fast & very affordable! I’ve had to have dental work redone from botched jobs of other dentists! They are fast affordable & pain free! And I surely know dental pain! I’m missing 4 teeth & I have maybe 12 more that have had work! That makes half my mouth! They’re the best out of the 20 or so dentists I’ve seen over the years! 10 out of 5 for me!:)
