Dr. Nguyen and his staff are super professional and friendly. As other reviewers said and I agree: straight shooting and no BS. What I had worked on as a new patient: – large cavity that needed drilling and crown installed. – large cavity that was drilled and filled. – large cavity that needed root canal and crown. Needless to say, that was a lot of work within 3 months but every visit was always a pleasant experience. I never felt pain since Dr Nguyen used the perfect anesthesia and gave me concise instructions and updates while I was in the chair. Dr. Nguyen always took the time to provide me videos and other resources so I was always well informed of what was going on. Also, since I was changing jobs and dental insurance, we planned out the work so it would optimize the spending on my dental benefits as I left my old job and started my new job. Some advantages here: – they use an online app for scheduling so it’s very convenient (with helpful mobile text reminders) compared to older phone appointments . You can still call if you want, but in this day and age, who still does that. – time passes easily since I can watch Netflix on their TV’s installed in each workstation. Even while laying in the chair flat, there is a TV on the ceiling. – super clean and friendly wait area for kids. – Plenty of parking at Safeway. I highly recommend you come here for all dental work. It’s just super pleasant.

This was by far the best experience I have had at a dental practice. From the receptionist, to the assistant, to the dentist, everyone was so kind, communicative, and professional. The office is decorated very charmingly and is very clean. I had not been able to have a dental check-up for a number of years, but was only made to feel at ease. Dr. Nguyen took time to talk through my records with me and explain what the x-rays showed and the pros and cons of different treatment options. If you need a distraction during a cleaning, they offer a number of dreaming services from which you can choose something to watch. Overall, I have only good things to say about the people, the place, and the practice. Next week, I’m bringing my daughter for her first checkup and anticipate only good things.

Today, I had my initial visit with Pacific Manor Dental. I was a bit nervous because I had not been to a dentist in a long time and kept putting off making an appointment for that reason. But with such great reviews, I decided it was time to head in. It was a friendly and calming experience all around, from reception, technician, and dentist. The equipment used is state of the art, and it was nice to be able to see and understand the condition of my teeth, with Dr. Nguyen explaining every detail of the photos and X-rays, and how to proceed with my future care. Nothing hidden, and all questions answered. He performed a gentle and thorough cleaning. The gentleman (Ranier sp?) who took my X-rays, set me up in the room and polished my teeth was especially kind. You can even watch cable tv on a screen set up on the wall in front of the chair and also one on the ceiling as you have your procedure done. I’m glad I chose this office for my current and future dental care.

i switched dentist last August as my awesome dentist of 15+ years retired. You know how you develop a bond and level of trust with your dentist or not. I didn’t think I would find anyone to replace him but Drs. Nguyen and Chow have provided gentle personalized care each time. The practice consists of a wonderful group of folks, a wonderful team. Professional but super friendly. There is no pushing of any unnecessary treatment or appliances, using fear. They provide you with the photos, xrays and cost. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Not only is Dr. Duy Nguyen and his staff the kindest people I have met, they seriously know their stuff! I had a dental emergency on a Sunday ( did you know only a handful of Dental offices are open on a Sunday!?) and I called multiple places in the morning. Pacific Manor was the only one to return my call and did so within the hour for an immediate appointment. I went in for my appointment anxious as most people with a broken teeth are, and they immediately put me at ease. Dr. Duy Nguyen was very clear at describing the procedure and even had a few short videos to help me understand what he was doing. He accommodated my needs even without the help of an additional technician and did so masterfully, you can’t even tell I broke my tooth. He even called me to check in on Sunday evening and make sure that I wasn’t in pain. I will definitely be back. The drive is defiantly worth the top notch service, kind and honest staff, and fair pricing.

Recently became a patient here after relocating from San Francisco. The office is clean and friendly. The filling I recently had done was virtually painless, I didn’t feel a thing even when they numbed me, which is great because I usually get high anxiety and nervousness around dental work. It was also very quick, they have TVs on the ceiling to keep you distracted while work is performed. They accept care credit and have dental plans that don’t require insurance, which is just what I needed since I pay for most medical expenses out of pocket. Professional, caring, and factual — Dr Nguyen takes a priority to insure your teeth are in a stellar condition after visiting his office. First time I went to his office over 6 months ago for an extraction of a dental floss that stuck between my teeth due to a poor cavity filling done by another dental office. Dr Nguyen was able to extract it and showed me through the x-rays that my recent cavity filling (the one with a stuck dental floss) had more cavity inside of the filling! Dr Nguyen did a great job redoing the tooth feeling and did a great job with my teeth cleaning. P.S: His office is equipped with Netflix and Hulu that you can watch right in your dental chair while the doctor performs his procedures.

I dont usually give five stars, however I have had a good experience here with cleaning root scaling and love their new technology. The video scan of my mouth was amazing and they have a new xray machine. At 64 I still have most of my teeth although they found two dead ones ahh no good. Dr Nuygen is excellent and very caring his assistant Ranier is even better. They take thier time are very through and with good technique. Funny how I watched Anthony Bourdain in the dentist chair. These guys are good and they do children. Yeah!

I had the privilege today (05/10/2020) to 3D Virtual Scan at Pacific Manor Dental Office. This review is on the OWNER and the CLEANLINESS of this Dental Office. Duy Nguyen, DDS greeted me at the main entrance, before I even took the first step inside his office (which honestly felt like I had to say a secret code) he took my temperature and had a bottle of hand sanitizer ready to squirt on my hands, he definitely made sure both of my hands where sanitize and cleaned, it’s a mandated procedure at his office. I get it, I totally understand, we live in different times, he’s a business owner and is taking it serious, which I have to admit I never had my temperature taken before at other businesses. Duy Nguyen, DDS (can’t forget the DDS) is a pleasant guy to talk to, I can tell he’s a smart person and is on point in his profession. I had an enjoyable time at his office, which I honestly have to admit, it squeaky clean guys, which I like, I have OCD myself, this office is organize to perfection they even have TVs on the ceilings so while you are getting your teeth cleaned you can watch your favorite soap opera or cartoons (whatever floats your boat) they even have hand-made stop signs to signal your Doctor in case of any discomfort, so smart!! No need to look further for next dental appointment, if you are looking for a clean, sanitized, ohh… I also forgot to mention they even have air purification systems in each room, so you can breathe clean filtered air (they go above and beyond for their client safety) this is your spot, and once you’re done with your appointment you can take a stroll down the beach, it’s literally a few feet away from his office, you won’t regret it

Duy is a very knowledgeable and amazing dentist! I came here for a regular cleaning as well as a deep cleaning from him. He is very professional and shows that he genuinely cares about his patients and their oral health. The best part of my visits was that he was very patient and ensured that I knew everything about the procedure (what he was going to do, why, what, etc.) and answered all of my questions and concerns. He incorporates a lot of educational teachings which is what I appreciated most compared to my past dental visits where my previous dentists didn’t really care to explain about procedures, they were just in and out to do their job and then it was onto the next patient for them. The office is very nice, modern, and spacious! They even provide snacks and coffee/water for you while you wait and magazines/toys/etc are available in the waiting room! The dental equipment there is very high tech and monitor screens are available in each room which Duy uses to allow the patient to have better visualization of the work that needs to be done, or in his patient teaching. Let’s not forget about Vendy, who happens to be the wonderful receptionist working there! Vendy takes very good care of you whether as the receptionist or the dental assistant. She made sure I was comfortable and does her best to make your stay there as pleasurable as can be (we all know dental offices are not the happiest places on earth). Overall, it was the best dental experience I’ve had despite the agony that comes with deep teeth cleaning. Their customer service is above and beyond your average and that alone should entice you to pay them a visit the next time you need all your dental hygiene needs to be taken care of!

The dentists, assistants and front office are very knowledgeable about the field and if they don’t know an answer they will be honest with you and refer you to someone who knows more I came in with an emergent dental issue almost a year ago and am still a current patient. I’ve seen Dr Duy which I would recommend. The dentists are gentle and they always ask if you’re okay. The stop sign is always at hand but I promise you will never even use it. I’m a new client at Pacific Manor Dental after having loved my previous dentist who retired. I was reluctant to go somewhere else, hoping for a personal feel and quality care. My husband found PMD first, now our whole family is going there. It’s only been a couple of months and my family is caught up on all our dental needs. When I come in they know me instantly and inquire about the rest of my family. They’ve been very understanding of my dental fears. Their office is in a quaint location but is very modern and professional. They feel like a neighborhood practice that is part of the community, in fact I can walk there from my home and don’t need to go outside of Pacifica.

I have come here twice for cleaning and additional times to mold/pickup/adjust a night guard. The front desk staff have always been extremely kind and courteous, making sure to explain to me insurance coverage and costs upfront. I have been treated by Dr. Chow twice now and have absolutely loved her attention to detail, her patience, her advice, and overall experience as she explains everything and does a great job. I’ve never had to use the “stop” sign they give you in case of discomfort/pain, and that’s coming from someone who has had very bad experiences in the past and still gets tense/nervous even though I’ve found a much better place. The assistants are also very nice when setting everything up and everyone involved always takes genuine care of you. They’re open to new patients and also have a good referral program. 6 stars if I could.

I was hesitant to leave my family’s dentist whom we’d seen for many decades, but I’m so glad I did. Not only am I glad to have found a dental office closer to home (no more driving into the city), but Dr. Nguyen, Dr. Chow, and all the staff are great! They are kind, professional, and organized. I’m still fairly new, having only made 3 visits so far, but every visit has been exceptional. My latest visit, initially had me concerned with how the office would handle appointments amid this COVID pandemic. Once I arrived, all those concerns were put to rest as the staff was well rehearsed. I believe the office reopened in early May and my appointment was July 1st. I have never had such a positive experience at a dentist’s office. I called for a consultation because the few teeth I had in my mouth were diseased and I felt it was time to consider dentures. At 72, I was not interested in implants and Dr. Nguyen was very considerate in listening to my thoughts. All extractions were scheduled for one day and that experience was not as bad as I had anticipated. The staff and Dr. Nguyen were very attentive to my comfort levels and I left there happy to be done with that phase of my treatment. I did well the first 24 hours and was very pleased to receive a call from Dr. Nguyen to check on my progress! Great experience and I will recommend this office to my friends and family!

Nevertheless, I found Pacific Manor Dental, the place where doctors and assistants are very careful, carrying, understanding, and will find what will work best for their patients! The front desk is always on top as well! They make sure you were provided with everything you possibly need(they have Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, and many others entertainments) music, coffee, water, etc. You can also watch a movie while the procedure, cuz TVs r on the ceiling too lol. When we moved here we were not sure which dentist would be the best. Went to Pacific Manor and was pleased with our decision. They are through in their exams and will take all the time needed. They only recommend what is absolutely necessary. However the final decision is up to you. They are open 6 days a week and have an emergency number if needed. When we started there was one dentist and now there are two so their business is growing. They have very modern equipment. I would highly recommend.

I was attended by a great dentist, and while I was dreading a dental cleaning after 5 years of not going to the dentist, the experience was surprisingly comfortable. They keep you distracted with a TV on the ceiling and have a little stop sign if you’re overly uncomfortable. The dentist took time to go through any issues or recommendations and explained the whole process. My first visit I didn’t even have to pay a co-pay. Definitely returning!

We had one of those emergency situations with our 2 year old son when he took a spill and chipped his tooth. We weren’t sure whether he had done some serious damage to his tooth. When something like this happens for the first time, as a parent, it can be pretty stressful. Pacific Manor Dental was able to see him immediately and they made my son’s first experience with the dentist a really enjoyable one. This new facility was super clean, had easy parking, great staff, and even a dedicated kids room – just awesome. Until this accident happened, we were pretty apprehensive about bringing our son in for regular checkup because we thought there’s not way our toddler was going to cooperate. But Dr. Nguyen was really gentle with him and didn’t make him feel nervous at all. Our son didn’t want to leave the dentist’s office! We’ll definitely be back with the whole family.

I owed Pacific Manor Dental a review for too long, finally, here it is. I have visited this office for more than three times in 2016, including regular teeth cleaning, and deep cleaning. The experience I had all exceeded my expectation, from the reception desk, to the dental service. Scheduling an appointment has never been so easy, staff will remind you in a way you prefer. In the operation room, the entertainment system is top notch, never feel bored during visit. Dr Nguyen is super knowledgable and good at what he is doing, his staff are also very helpful and always have a smile, which made me feel happy every time. People you meet here are frank, open, nice, productive, and friendly, I couldn’t ask for more. Plus, I even got a champagne after finishing my teeth cleaning treatments, how thoughtful they are! 5-stars!!!

Very good experience! I have never felt so pampered at a dentist before. They took a CT scan as well as typical bitewings, which I have never had before and took maybe 30 seconds at most. The dental chair was very comfortable and there were two TVs with Roku positioned so that I watch a show while both seated and prone. In addition, they provided safety glasses to avoid the usual cleaning spatters and a stop paddle for me to hold up in case I needed to stop for any reason. Everybody’s attitudes were fantastic, from the receptionist to the dentist, and they were very welcoming. During the exam and cleaning the dentist and dental assistant were very communicative, explaining exactly what they were doing and seeing in my mouth. The exam and cleaning were painless and because I noted that I was unhappy about the staining between my teeth, they spent extra time polishing them away and explained a number of techniques I can use to reduce staining in the future. I definitely plan to return for my next visit any highly recommend them.

I had just got back from an Austin trip and needed to desperately see a dentist because my tooth was hurting so much! I booked a Saturday appointment and the Dr squeezed me in on his lunch! I needed a root canal 🙁 but it was ok but the Dr and his staff did a great job of taking care of me. There’s HULU and NETFLIX to watch while you’re getting taken care of and they also give you a little STOP sign in case you feel any pain. I was looking for a new dentist since my dentist of 5 years will be retiring soon. I got a recommendation from a friend to see Dr. Nguyen. I used their online system to make an appointment which was easy. It even sent me text reminders to go which was helpful. The location is by the Safeway in Pacifica close to highway 1 exit. Parking was easy to find. I checked in with Vendy (who is very kind and friendly!). I got some x-rays done and Dr. Nguyen went over the results with me showing me where the problem areas were in comparison to healthy areas. Turned out I had four cavities to work on. Dr. Nguyen did my cleaning and did one filling on this visit. To my surprise it was the most pleasant dentist I have been at! You get a little STOP sign in case something hurts you hold it up. I also got a nice blanket (it is Pacifica after all!), and some goggles to wear which was great because I could keep my glasses on! This was helpful since once you lay down you have watch Hulu on the tv on the ceiling. It was great! I came back for a second visit less than a week later to get three fillings done on the opposite side. Despite the sounds of drilling that kept going on, I didn’t have to use my STOP sign once. As i suspected, one of the fillings was deep. I appreciated Dr. Nguyen taking pictures before, during, and after the fillings were done to show exactly what he had done. I had never seen that before! The next day I realized one of my fillings, the deep one, was feeling sensitive to cold and hot. I checked in with Dr. Nguyen who was quick to respond and said this was normal considering how deep it was and to monitor unless it was painful. Now about two weeks later it seems the sensitivity is gone. Overall I was extremely happy with my two visits and I look forward to going in for my cleaning in six months!

Absolutely recommended!! I started a yelp account just to leave a review for this office because I am so appreciative of their help. My wife was in extreme pain on a Sunday morning. She didn’t have a regular dentist, I saw that Dr. Nguyen had nothing but 5 star reviews so far, so I called around 1pm. I told them that she was a new patient and I’m very desperate to find her some help. After taking our information, 4 minutes later Dr. Nguyen texted me personally and said that the office was closed that day, but he could open just for her at 6pm….. If she could last that long. We showed up early and so did the Doctor. My wife said that he relieved her of all pain and had her come back soon after for a crown. We are very grateful for his professional work and his very, very friendly staff who make you feel comfortable and at home. 5 stars ABSOLUTELY

Dr. Duy "Dewey" Nguyen grew up in Southern California. He moved to the Bay Area where he obtained his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology. He completed his dental education from UC San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen furthered his education by accepting a post-graduate residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he focused on hospital and implant dentistry. He has completed extensive continuing education in oral and maxillofacial pathology and parenteral moderate sedation and takes many courses each year to deliver the best treatment available to his patients. When Dr. Nguyen isn’t caring for patients, he enjoys electric mountain biking, snowboarding, traveling to strange parts of the world, and joining races such as Tough Mudder and Spartan. Dr. Nguyen inspires to volunteer his time to help the underprivileged at home and abroad.
