Top-notch dental practice. Dr. Kim does a great job and he really takes the time to understand his patients’ individual needs. The staff, however, is where Pacific Smiles really shines. Caitlin at the front desk has gone above and beyond to help me navigate some tricky insurance situations. And my hygienist Jill is simply the best there is. Jill has the absolute warmest personality, she does a great job cleaning, and she knows her stuff – time flies when I’m in the chair with her.  A fantastic dental office!

This is the first time I have submitted a review on Yelp, but felt it was important to share my experience with Dr. Kim and his staff. My past experiences with dentist have been very bad. My last dentist visit was so bad, I had not gone back in several years. The last 2 years, I have searched for a dentist as I needed some cosmetic work done on my front teeth. I came across Dr. Kim through Yelp and decided to give him a chance based on his reviews. The procedure I had done was complicated to say the least. Dr. Kim was great! He reviewed several options that we could take, giving me pros and cons for each one. He made sure I knew exactly how much insurance would pay and what I would pay before making any decisions. The office staff is great, always remembers my name. I have NEVER waited more that 10 minutes before by appointments. They are a great team, believe it or not, I don’t mind going to the dentist anymore. If you need a dentist, Dr. Kim is highly recommended.

Dr. Kim and the staff at Pacific Smiles are “DA Bomb”.  After being treated by several prior dentist, none of them compares to the treatment I received at Pacific Smiles.  Starting with Caitlin, and Kiele, moving on to Andrea, Tami, and finally Dr. Kim, all are an awesome example of true professionalism, and compassion, and expertise at its best.  When you are told that you will be fine, and have a painless experience they mean it!  I’ve had deep cleaning done by Andrea and dental implant with Dr. Kim….no pain from receiving Novocain to the dental implant procedure.  If you need dental work and you want the best, I highly recommend this dental office!

I found Dr Kim through yelp and I am happy I did! (much thx to my fellow yelpers) I had a missing tooth and my previous dentist wanted to do a bone graft implant surgery. Well I wasn’t sure about that approach so came here for second opinion. Dr Kim took his time to go over my options. He was very patient and thorough in explaining things. Instead of an implant he recommended a maryland bridge for my missing tooth. I really appreciated that he came up with a much less conservative approach. There was no upselling or unnecessary treatment offers. I could tell he’s an honest guy. Well I wanted to think about it for a few days but before leaving the office I asked Caitlin from the front desk questions regarding my insurance and out of pocket expense. Caitlin was very nice and easy to talk to. She went over all costs with me. I left that day with all questions answered. When I decided to go ahead with Dr Kim’s plan, I was so glad I did! The process was easy and painless. My crown looks very natural and the bridge feels comfortable. I can smile confidently again. Ever since then I’ve been coming here for routine check up and cleanings. I’ve seen both hygienists — Jill and Andrea. Both ladies are super nice and very good at what they do. I love how clean my teeth feel after each visit. I’m very thankful to Dr Kim and his awesome team!! Now both my parents come here too and I recommend this dentist office to anyone looking for the best dentist in south bay

The dental offices of my childhood were located in damp basements, medieval tools hanging from the walls. pacific smiles is a sign of modern and better times. here you’ll find plenty of natural light, ocean breeze, and stellar service. andrea, my hygienist, performs small miracles on my smile and dr kim educated me more about my oral health in ten minutes than i’ve learned in the previous thirty years. seriously. the entire staff is generous with their time and knowledge. very grateful for their top-notch work. Easily the best dental experience I’ve had. The staff is super friendly and completely professional. But I’ll be honest, when it comes to my teeth, friendliness is always secondary to quality of work. Good thing the work here is thorough–second to none. Dr Kim (and his staff) puts in the time and energy to do the job right and explain everything. I’m beyond satisfied with my procedures, and the friendliness was icing on the cake. Highly recommended

Dr kim has a wonderful staff! Caitlin sits at the front of the office and is always pleasant and helpful. I have had to make a few last minute cancels because of kids or kids sick/babysitter not showing up and Caitlin has always been understanding and able to reschedule. Dr Kim knows how us patients feel when it comes to pain and procedures. I shopped his prices and they are definately the best in town..but even more important -he doesnt take advantage of his clients (i have encountered several that do). Dr Kim is definately not that type. He educates and gives you all possible scenarios for outcome on dental work. I feel safe and well taken care of in this office under his care and staff.
