I booked myself for an exam and cleaning at Dr. Alex Pappas’ South Pasadena office and was pleasantly surprised by everything from the friendly office receptionist, Daisy to the doctor himself and his kind manner. He himself did my x-rays and cleaning, no hygienist at all! I forgot to ask if there is one, but during this time of COVID-19, I am guessing that appointments are more scant. I was seen on time, found ample parking under their second floor location, and left feeling fresh-mouthed and glad to have seen an accommodating dentist. Five stars for professionalism and office staff courtesy!

I was nervous at first, especially with it being the dentist and all, but Dr. Alex and his assistant were truly exceptional and pleasant to deal with! I came in for a teeth cleaning and filling since my old one fell out and it was painless and fairly quick as well. You can really tell that Dr. Alex cares. He went the extra mile to make sure that my teeth would be treated properly and that my tooth was fully numb before starting with the filling to make sure that I wouldn’t feel any pain at all. I didn’t. I’ll definitely be coming here in the future and will recommend anyone looking for a great dentist!

Easily one of the best dental offices I have ever been to. I have a family of 6 and they could be the most accommodating Dentist I’ve ever seen. The office staff is super friendly, the hygienists are really friendly and thorough, and Dr. Pappas does an amazing job making sure you are fully educated and comfortable. My four young children don’t mind going to the dentist, now, which is no small accomplishment.

My husband sees Dr. Peter Pappas, and our adult son and I see Dr. Alex Pappas for check ups and teeth cleaning every 6 months. Recently I had a molar that disintegrated. I made an appointment with Dr. Alex within two days. After he X-rayed my molar he asked Dr. James to exam my molar. The referral was immediate. Lucky me. Dr. James tested the molar and recommended a root canal. He explained why I needed a root canal as well as the details of the procedure. He assured me that he used the newest techniques. That same day, he numbed the area and explained what he was doing. I never felt any pain. I was sore that evening so I took ibuprofen which really helped. On the very next day, I returned so that Dr. James could complete the root canal. Dr. James is an excellent highly skilled endodontist in a practice with his father and brother who are also highly skilled excellent dentists. I highly recommend them without any reservations.

I saw my new dentist, Alex about a month ago. I was pretty nervous since I hadn’t seen one in 2 years or so. He was very nice, and professional. I felt at ease, and he actually did the x-rays and cleaning himself, which was a plus. Scheduling the appointment was easy too, I got an appointment the week that I called. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. After Alex finished looking at the x-rays, he told me I had two cavities, but that they were still mineralized and on the enamel and could repair themselves with proper cleaning habits. It was nice to have a dentist that was honest and didn’t feel the need to give me fillings when they weren’t necessary. I appreciated the honesty and my teeth were clean and sparkly. There’s a parking lot too which is a plus along with neighborhood parking. Very easy to find. As far as a going to see the dentist goes, it was a great experience. Thanks Dr. Pappas!

Awful treated me like I wasn’t human when i turned 21 and still was on state insurance, they tried moving my appointments around for ppl who had better health insurance. Telling me they wouldn’t take me till I told them iv been an a existing patient. Then the women on the phones tone changed.. Then there time changed, I went to this dentist as a kid and had no problems but come to find out they are more about the money than anything. But in all, Really sad actually but hey can’t be perfect in every way ya?
