★★★★★
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Wong’s for over 10 years! She is a wonderful dentist. I’ve had a few fillings over the years in addition to my biannual teeth cleanings. Every visit is always a pleasant experience and her dental care is outstanding. Dr. Wong’s hygienists, assistants, and office staff are great also. Good experience from beginning to end, always, every visit. To sum it up…if you’re looking for a new dentist that is nice, honest, and experienced, you need to look no further.
★★★★★
I have always dreaded going to the dentist… until I switched over to Dr. Wong. I have been going to Dr. Wong for a few years now and every visit is always so pleasant. She has the latest equiment, her office is warm and inviting, and so is her wonderful staff. Dr. Wong is an excellent dentist and a wonderful person. She is very thorough, never pushy or rushing, and so easy to talk to. I’m actually looking forward to my next visit. Gotta keep my teeth in tip-top shape!
★★★★★
I should have done this long ago; I’ve been going to Dr. Wong for a couple of years now and she and her staff are just outstanding. Everyone is friendly and caring and Dr. Wong is just great at making me feel comfortable. She is very professional but she also treats me with care and respect and makes me feel like I’m her only patient. With all the stress that I’ve had with dentists in the past, I’m so glad I found her.
★★★★★
I really enjoyed my dental care here. Dr. Patricia Wong and her team are very professional, friendly, and provide great care. I felt like my teeth were cleaned very thoroughly each time I came here for a cleaning. Two tips: parking can be hard to find thus I recommend alternate forms of transportation if possible. Second, it can sometimes be harder to find an appointment time because I believe their schedule is fairly busy, thus it’s best to try to schedule your appointment earlier in advance.
★★★★★
I hate going to the dentist. Hate. it. Now, I don’t think I’m going to mind it. Dr. Wong and her entire staff are incredibly nice and not judgemental/condescending at all (looking at you, un-named dentist man across town). I had the least painful cleaning of my life there (I have VERY sensitive gums) and I was amazed at how easy it was. They took their time on the cleaning to make sure it was thorough and helped me understand how I should clean certain areas differently now that I had my wisdom teeth taken out. Separately, I REALLY appreciated how they took the time to write me an email summary before my appointment to let me know exactly what services my insurance covered so that I was super informed and comfortable coming in. Why don’t all doctors do this???
10 stars if I could!
★★★★★
BEST. DENTAL. EXPERIENCE. EVER. This was the least painful dental cleaning experience in my life. Dr. Wong is masterful – and note that, SHE did the cleaning and the entire process herself. I love that she explains everything, including the gum scoring (which, none of my other dentists even examined before!), and gave me tips on better brushing technique that I didn’t know before. For instance, I didn’t know you’re supposed to close your lips to brush the back molars better! Put simply, I felt like going it was going to a kind auntie. Becky, her assistant, is also super kind and friendly – she even gave me a (huge) list of Japanese restaurant recommendations after she asked me (and I responded) of what food I like, since I’m new to town. I also love the welcome gift: a hand-wrapped, well-branded mug (good design I might add)! Oh and she has all the latest equipment and a monitor up on the wall for you to see all the x-rays, data entry, etc. on your dental health while she’s on the computer! Pro-tip: the place is a little hard to find because it’s small and innocuous, but go to the address on your gps. It looks a little like a converted apartment. But yes there is free parking nearby on the residential streets if you’re driving.
★★★★★
I’m really lucky to have found Dr. Wong. I had a pretty complicated case, but she helped make the process easy. She maintained good communication with my oral surgeon and orthodontist as I was preparing to have an implant placed on my front tooth. She’s attentive and very friendly. Appointments are always easy to schedule. I also really enjoy her staff. It’s a nice feeling when you go in to the office and they remember who you are. Now that my implant process is complete, I’m looking forward to routine visit with Dr. Wong.
★★★★★
I can’t believe that I haven’t reviewed her yet – I’ve been going to Dr. Wong for a couple of years for my twice a year cleanings and am very happy with her ministrations. I purposely chose a dentist who attends to the cleanings themselves and have not been disappointed – Dr. Wong is careful and attentive, the place sparkling clean, and the equipment up to date (digital x-rays, none of those giant robot machines from the 50s). Go ahead, treat your teeth the Wong way.
★★★★★
I LOVE Dr. Wong! I’ve been going to her for almost 3 years now and can say with the utmost confidence that’s the best dentist I’ve ever had. Dr. Wong always does a very thorough and gentle job in cleaning my teeth. She never pushes to take unnecessary x-rays. And she is super friendly and sweet on top of all that. Even though I only see her twice a year, I’m always pleasantly surprised at how much she remembers about me from our little chit chats. She definitely goes the extra mile to give her patients a very professional and personal experience. Her staff is also super friendly, her office is clean, you can book appointments online and she works on Saturdays! Her office is conveniently located on the N and 28 bus lines. Dr. Wong will make your dental experience easy and enjoyable! What else could you possibly ask for in a dentist?!
★★★★★
okay so I hadn’t been to the dentist in about two years…maybe more! :-O To say I was hesitant about “going to the dentist” would be an understatement but my dental insurance was about to expire so I figured it was now or never. heh With all the positive reviews on Yelp I figured it would be impossible to get an appointment in the near future but to my surprise the office was able to set something up quickly and efficiently in about a week from my first call. To my surprise Dr. Wong even called me personally to confirm the appointment! wow. The secretary and Dr. Wong were very courteous in person and it didn’t longer than it took to fill out the mandatory questionnaires to be seen once I arrived for my appointment. Luckily it turned out that brushing twice a day and flossing occasionally ensured my teeth were in pretty decent shape. The incessant flossing the week before my appointment probably didn’t hurt either! My teeth cleaning went great meaning painlessly and Dr. Wong kept up good conversation about school, work, life etc. that made the appointment seem like a friend was cleaning your teeth rather than the towering darkhearted-butcher, people often fear in their nightmares. All-in-all I had one small cavity that needed to be filled in a separate appointment I had the next day. It was a similarly pleasant experience. Also the office gave me this gift-cup with toothpaste, floss, etc. I know it seems trivial but it’s the little niceties in life that can make a difference. Cools, Enjoy!
★★★★★
Very happy with my experiences at Patricia M Wong’s. She was able to repair some bad cavities that were let go for many years in a matter of months. Also sensitive to my desired goals in treatment options. Very affordable under my dental plan as well. She and the team fixed up all my major cavities within a matter of months. Exceptional scheduling–they were able to fit me in on the days I’m off work so I don’t have to miss work and appointments made were honored and serviced in a timely manor (often taken care of without waiting at all!!). Really a surprisingly good service going on here. The work looks polished and blends naturally, she had a lot of work to do to make that happen. Thank you for everything and thanks to the yelpers for pointing the way.
★★★★★
I love Patricia. She’s really the best! I had to admit, I was always scared of going to the dentist but after I met Patricia I actually don’t mind at all – in fact, I enjoy it. I had to get a filling once and I fell asleep while she was working on my teeth! Then she asked if I was uncomfortable and needed a mouth block to keep my mouth open. (I thought that was great because my husband told me his old dentist used to scream at him!) I also chipped my tooth once and she fixed it for me for free because she didn’t know how to charge me for it. And normally when I get a cavity…those shots are killer, but she did it once where I almost didnt even feel it going into my gums. Anyways, she really is the best and I’ve recommended several people to her and they all loved her too. You just can’t go wrong. Also, her office is very clean and she works with lots of high tech stuff…just another plus!

I started to LIKE going to the dentist after going to Dr. Patricia Wong’s office. Although the office is small, in the lower part of a house around 21st ave. or thereabouts, it is extremely clean and well maintained. Her dental assistant has a very sweet disposition, and they have the most state of the art equipment out of any dentist I have ever seen. (Taking x-rays is fun b/c you can see them immediately on a monitor in the room.) They can schedule you really fast if you need to make a follow-up visit, unlike other offices that make you wait for no reason. Dr. Wong herself is a really easy-going, goofy (in a fun, good way) person, who obviously approaches her dental practice in a customer service oriented and friendly sort of way. She’s also very meticulous (perfectionist, maybe) about her work, which I like in a dentist. I don’t know if she takes notes, but she’s asked me follow-up questions about topics I talked to her about 6 months before, at the last cleaning! Wow. Whatever it is, it seems like Dr. Wong really cares about you as a person in addition to being a patient, a characteristic that is very rare. From all the other 5 star reviews here, you can tell that others feel the same. Best. Dentist. Ever.
★★★★★
Dr. Wong is fantastic. She makes what many of us consider a dreaded event – the dental visit – a surprisingly pleasant experience. She’s so cool and personable and amazingly does the cleanings herself. Dentists can vary so much in skill, which has a huge impact on your experience as a patient. I feel so lucky that we have Dr. Wong to take care of us and keep our teeth in great shape without the pain or inconvenience you often associate with dental care.
★★★★★
hmmm, visiting dr. wong is like catching up with ur nicest out-of-state friend: – small talk on where u live now, where u graduated from college. – advice on the best xmas gifts to buy ur tiny nieces (two of each, no matter wat!) – holiday music in the background, sweet! – she’ll floss all ur teeth in less than a minute, and scrape off excess buildup. – recommend u an oral surgeon to get all four wisdom teeth extracted. chit chat, advice, teeth cleaning, and free toothbrush… she and her staff are tremendously caring and friendly. i cant wait to go back! 8D
★★★★★
Dr. Wong is wonderful! I visited her recently after going 10 years without seeing a dentist, and understandably she had bad news for me: 5 cavities. But, she delivered the news in such a kind manner, absolutely no judgment. And, she filled them quickly, easily and professionally. She is how all dentists should be! I’m not afraid to go anymore. Her staff is also very sweet and helpful. If you are a little wary of the dentist, but need to see one, I highly recommend her.
★★★★★
Dr. Wong runs a state of the art dental practice in the Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco. Her practice is small and personalized. The office is very clean and the staff are friendly and customer oriented. The atmosphere in Dr. Wong’s office is calm and the customary dental procedures (x-rays, cleanings, fillings) have been performed with skill and attention to detail. I highly recommend Dr. Wong for individuals and families. You couldn’t ask for a nicer dentist.
★★★★★
Definitely deserving of a five star review. The office has been extraordinarily helpful and got me in for a cleaning in record time and without a hitch. My initial visit to the office has was just as smooth! Obviously knowledgeable and beyond kind– I feel great about the decision to come here. Front desk, hygienist, and doctor all deserve five stars!
★★★★★
Dr. Wong is truly fantastic. I saw her in the past, but hadn’t been in several years simply because her office in San Francisco is some distance from where I live in the East Bay. I thought I’d try to find someone closer, so I had a visit with a new dentist, who came up with a treatment plan that would cost me about $800 after my insurance paid. I had a cleaning, and my teeth felt just the same as before! This didn’t seem right to me, so I called up Dr. Wong and she fit me in two days later. Boy, am I glad I did it! Turns out I just needed a REAL cleaning, nothing else. Dr. Wong shoots straight from the hip- she will not recommend a bunch of expensive treatment that you don’t need, she treats you with respect, explains everything, is really upbeat and positive. I don’t think I’ll ever try another dentist- she rocks. And she has a great team around her that make the whole experience smooth and painless. It’s well worth the trip. Thanks, Dr. Wong!
★★★★★
Dr. Wong is the best dentist that i have ever went to. She’s super nice has all the latest equiptment. Her office is really nice and there’s plenty of street parking around. She always makes sure that i’m comfortable before she works on me. She is definately thorough in cleaning and spends extra time on you if needed at no additional cost. My friend referred her to me and i’m glad i switched to Dr. Wong. She’s top notch! Go and pay her a visit.

Thanks again Doctor Wong!
★★★★★
Recently I slipped and fell, injuring my mouth and my front teeth were bleeding so badly. It was weekend and no dentist was avail. Called Dr. Wong’s office and left my message about the accident. Unfortunately Dr. Wong was out of town but fortunately once she saw my message she responded promptly with good advice and suggestion! She fitted me in for an urgent appointment; and I was treated the next day! When I was at her office, I am in good hands–very unlucky to have this accident and very lucky to have Dr. Wong! She is compassionate and capable dentist!
★★★★★
Believe it or not, this my first ever Yelp review. Dr. Wong gives great dental care and her staff is really efficient and nice! Three months ago, I had a dental emergency and Dr. Wong was able to schedule me in and help me ASAP. If you are looking for a great dentist in the Sunset area, make a appointment with her.
★★★★★
I have issues with dentists; I go twice a year, I get lectured about a variety of things and constantly told that I’m doing something wrong or something is my fault. I drink, tea, coffee, and wine like there’s no tomorrow and I dislike sugar. But yet every time I’m in at a dentist, I feel like I’m being ignored and I’m in for another lecture. Which this dentist, didn’t do, at all. And after whining about a recent dental issue, she’s the only one to take a moment to listen to me and actually address what went wrong. She’s really nice and understanding — I even warned her that sometimes I flinch given a bit of sensitivity and I found that I didn’t even experience that much pain this time. All round, great experience and I’m looking forward to my next appointment with her.
★★★★★
I’ve been going to Dr. Wong for two years now, and I gotta say, she’s the best dentist I’ve ever had! Super sweet, nice, patient, and funny, Dr. Wong always kicks ass when it comes to my teeth. The great thing about Dr. Wong is that she does all the cleaning herself, so you get a very personalized experience. Also, her office is really nice & clean, and she has the latest equipment. She’s also really flexible with appointment scheduling and even works on Saturday. It’s also nice to know that Dr. Wong grew up in SF and graduated from one of the top dental programs in the nation (UCSF). So you definitely know you’re in good hands. Bottom line, I drive all the way up from San Jose to go to Dr. Wong … no other dentist compares!
★★★★★
One word “AWESOME” Over the years I’ve seen a whole bunch of dentist. Lot’s of dentist farm out their bi-annual teeth cleanings to a part-time dental hygienist. Dr. Wong is customer service oriented, Dr. Wong does not over sell her services, and does all the work herself. Her office is very good about reminder calls and we always get goodies (new tooth brush, paste, floss, etc.) after each appointment. Dr. Wong takes pride in building her practice (open Saturdays) and she is honest and extremely hardworking. 🙂
★★★★★
Raise your hand if you hate the dentist. Yep I see everybody raised their hand. I haven’t been to the dentist in four years because the whole process is scary and the prices scare my wallet. I am so happy I found Dr. Wong. Her office is stumbling distance from my house. Which is great because when your mouth is numb or if you’re on drugs you want to be close to home. Dr. Wong is so friendly and you could talk to her for hours. She’s gentle and explains everything thoroughly. You won’t be afraid to go to the dentist again.
★★★★★
I thought one of my tooth no doubt needed a root canal, but Dr. Wong saved it with her extraordinary skills and patience. It’s been over a year now, doesn’t hurt a bit. Unfortunately, my another tooth is dead due to its weird anatomy. Dr Wong referred me to a specialist to get further inspected and possibly root canal! I am sure she has the skills too, but she said “the specialists are better equipped”, and hence better for me. Unlike some other general dentists, who would do everything out of their limit for the $$$. That’s why I still go back to her even I’ve moved to San Jose. In short, you can’t go wrong with Dr Wong, she’s nice, honest and skillful.
★★★★★
I have been a patient of Dr. Patricia Wong for 7 years. Never had any issues with her work. Unfortunately, I recently moved to San Jose and the age old saying, “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone”, could not be more true. She cares about her patients and always put her patients first. Never did she suggest any work on my teeth unless it is absolutely necessary. It will be hard to find a more honest and knowledgeable dentist. I trust her completely and will have to continue driving back to San Francisco because she is THAT good. Would highly recommend to any of my friends and family.
★★★★★
My bf has nothing but nice things to say about Dr. Wong. First of all, he has been traumatized from going the dentist since he was a little kid. For the last 12 years he has only been to the dentist twice. He said his hands were literally shaking while he was filling out forms in her office…but to his surprise, he said Dr. Wong was very gentle yet thorough. She made sure he was comfortable and not in any pain. She is very knowledgeable and answered all his questions. All her equipment was high tech. He was very impressed with Dr. Wong and the service. It exceeded his expectations and as he stated “She’s the BEST dentist I’ve ever had!!”
★★★★★
Dr. Wong is a great dentist. She is professional, honest, and sweet. My sister recommended her to me when i was complaining about a tooth ache. Another more expensive dentist in the financial district I went to couldn’t figure out why my tooth was aching and applied some flouride paste to the sensitive area and sold me some Colgate Prevident as a means of treatment. This made me think I was developing a cavity. When i saw Dr. Wong for a cleaning and for her to check out my tooth problem she told me it was because my roots were more exposed in the area causing sensitivity. She showed me the problem, explained the cause, and told me that it is natural and not to worry about it. I was very great full for her explanation.
★★★★★
Nothing like small, agile, competent hands. That is one way to describe my on-going visits with Dr. Patricia Wong. I left my other practice after continual pressure to have various dental procedures that seemed costly and unnecessary. The office is immaculate, advanced (digital technology and ultrasonic equipment) and a convenient pleasure to visit (feels like a little house, unlike 450 Sutter—bleech). Staff is quite nice and very helpful. I disagree with the individual who found the prices expensive. I think her fees are quite reasonable. Especially since there is no high pressure sales pitch. I am thrilled to have found this office. You will be too.
★★★★★
Dr. Wong and I go way back, she is a good personal friend and very competent dentist, not to mention a pain-free dentist! My whole family goes to her. She even is a “fair” dr. and an advocate of your insurance, for instance, she refunded a “filling cost” back to my insurance, because the tooth ended up to be a root canal. Who does that? If you judge anyone by his/her character/integrity, you will be just as confident as I am about Dr. Wong. Bring the whole clan to her…She does not dissapoint!
★★★★★
Thanks to all of the other yelpers I found Dr. Wong to be just as amazing as everyone says she is. I had a horrible experience with a dentist when I was in my teens and really dreaded going to the dentist ever since. Push came to shove and I had to see someone about a toothache. Two appointments later I’m here to testify that she is worth all the rave reviews. I look forward to seeing her in 6 months!
★★★★★
Dr. Wong really is the best. I have been a patient for many years, both with and without dental insurance. She tries to make things more affordable if you don’t have insurance. She also takes a conservative approach, doing what needs to be done rather than trying to upsell. Her staff is great too. And she has always fit me in for the occasional “guess who chipped a tooth” emergency.
A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Wong was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She attended Lowell High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. In 1998, she graduated from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) with a Bachelor in Dental Science and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS). She worked as an associate for several years before deciding to start her own practice. Dr. Wong’s passion for dentistry evolved from her love of art, science, and people. Her chosen profession as a dentist is a perfect fit because dentistry is based on science but many procedures, especially those pertaining to cosmetic and restorative dentistry, require both a keen eye and an artistic touch. Coupled with the opportunity to work with and help people, Dr. Wong can honestly say that she truly enjoys her job! She is committed to perpetual improvement of her clinical skills by frequently consulting with peers, seeking continuing education on a regular basis, and subscribing to the latest industry journals. Dr. Wong also keeps abreast of the latest dental technologies because she is an ardent believer that technology combined with superior clinical skills is essential in modern dental care. She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and the San Francisco Dental Society. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Wong loves traveling, jazz music, swing dancing, and most importantly spending time with family and friends. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe. Her latest adventures were ocean cruises in the Caribbean and Alaska. For relaxation, she listens to jazz music (her favorite artist is Diana Krall) or participates in a swing dancing class.
