Dr Paul Parminter is an outstanding dentist with impeccable credentials. After becoming a dentist he continued many years of advanced education and training to become a Prosthodontist.  He is detailed oriented and a perfectionist, which is certainly wanted and needed by anyone seeking a truly functional and beautiful mouth.  My mouth contains 9 root canals and every tooth has a full crown.  The 2 bottom front teeth are designed as “2 teeth” that sit upon one center implant for better stability (Dr. Parminter’s idea) and I have 3 lower back teeth that are bridged together with 2 implants.  It is evident from the above description that I have had a long-running experience with dentists and dental work.  Dr. Parminter recently completed the implants and bridges, and what an outstanding job he did!  I travel over 100 miles round trip to receive his care and the result of his expertise….and, will continue to do so!  His office staff is delightful, pleasant, kind and very professional.  In addition, Dr. Parminter works with a team of highly qualified  specialists to achieve the best results. Check out his web site and learn about him and his philosophy.   You will feel the authenticity of the man, Dr. Paul Parminter.

Paul is a fantastic professional. King of the Hill. He gets all the work done by dentists who shouldn’t be doing what they do – it takes thousands of extra hours to be skilled as a Prosthedontist to redo their work properly. If you have a heart problem, don’t go to a general practitioner when you should go to a Cardiologist. So why go to a General Dentist when you can go get it done by someone right, skilled like Paul, and get his highly trained experience and workmanship. It shouldn’t cost extra, especially if it has to be redone right. And the cleaning is done by a very qualified dental hygienist. All work is performed in a friendly, intimate atmosphere. I’ve been Paul’s patient for years and am well advanced in age…still my teeth are all strong and functioning like a 40 year old thanks to this humble, dedicated and very skilled man. Remember this whenever you have anything as important as work done on your teeth: Quality workmanship is like buying oats – if you want nice, clean, fresh oats, you may pay a fair price. However if you can be satisfied with oats that already have been through the horse…THAT COMES A LITTLE CHEAPER.

Dr. Parminter has been my dentist for many years, and I just want to put it out there what a great one he is. As I get older, I’ve had plenty of dental issues. Dr. Parminter always takes the time to really listen, examine the situation and come up with the best solution to save my teeth! And to keep me out of pain! And, whenever possible, to save me money! He’s really an artist at what he does. He never takes the easy, knee-jerk course of action when a tooth seems to be on its way out. He’s more of a whole-mouth type of guy. I appreciate the way he thinks about dentistry so much. I really recommend Dr. Parminter. And can I add how wonderful his staff is, too? They’re the best.

Dr. Paul Parminter is BY FAR the best dentist I have ever gone to in over 50 years.  He received his DDS degree and his Certificate in Prosthodontics from the acclaimed USC School of Dentistry.  He  taught at USC for eight years, lectured in the U.S. and abroad, and has been perfecting his skills in practice for almost 30 years.  He has worked methodically and gently to examine my teeth, diagnose any problems, and then solve the problem by doing the work I need and no more than that.  He has not pushed unnecessary invasive procedures that expose me to pain and risk of infection unnecessarily.  When I have needed a procedure, he has explained what the options are, the pros and cons of each, listens to my concerns, and works with me to choose the best course of treatment.  Dr. Parminter’s professional philosophy is as far as one can get from the “drill em’, fill ’em, and bill ’em” style that I have experienced with so many other dentists.  He has explained the best daily care for my teeth.  I started seeing Dr. Parminter several years ago when I had no hope in keeping my teeth and gums healthy; now thanks to his expertise and advice, my dental health has vastly improved with the hope of keeping them healthy for a lifetime.

Dr. Parminter is a fabulous dentist. I’ve always been a bit nervous about dental work and I had delayed going for a couple of years. But when I met Dr. Parminter, he instantly put me at ease. He was kind and gentle, explained everything every step of the way, and told me what needed to be done immediately and what could wait. He has golden qualifications, with an expert level of prosthodontist and taught dentistry at USC for many years. His office is beautiful and his staff friendly and helpful. Call Dr. Parminter for all your dental needs – you’ll be so glad you did!

This is an error. Dr. Parminter is in Brentwood, at 11980 San Vicente Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90049-5012, 310.820.9800, creativesolutionsdds.com When I first saw Dr. Parminter, he gave me a copy of his Dental Philosophy. How many dentists have bothered to think about and write out a philosophy of their profession? He’s very thoughtful and his work is meticulous. He also teaches dentistry, which is good news for the future of the profession. My regular office visit/cleanings are 100.00, and well worth it. A good part of the pleasure of dealing with his office comes from the staff. Rosetta manages the office and is endlessly fascinating to talk with. (I think Dr. Parminter exercises extreme patience working around out conversations.) Katie, the hygienist, is charming and professional, and I have learned a lot about dental care from her. Really, everyone you come into contact with makes your experience as pleasant as going to the dentist can be. A couple downsides: The office is only open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, so plan well in advance to get an appointment when you want it. And because everyone takes the time necessary to do the job right, you may find yourself with a bit of a wait. I’d rather have that than have someone rush through my own appointment, so I build it into my schedule. And the building has an uneven HVAC system: The office can be cold (they have space-heaters), or overheated. I carry layers with me to be prepared.

Dr Parminter literally saved my life. Let me explain. Some years ago now, I was faced with having jaw surgery, without which by age 60, my only means of nourishment would come via a straw. Sadly this was entirely due to negligent dental work as a young girl in England. The ‘school dental nurse’ in all her wisdom, removed several teeth which should never have been removed and caused a problem over the years with my ‘bite’, which in turn lead to extremely painful T.M.J. I was in constant pain and had reached the stage where I could barely open my mouth. I will always remember my response after Paul started telling me how he would solve this issue with help from several specialists who would work under his direction. Finally, SOME-ONE was taking on the responsibilty for my whole mouth and was able to work out a plan. This was NOT a quick fix. Indeed it took several years to achieve the result I have now and in truth it was not inexpensive BUT I could not be happier that I went down this path and now at 63 years of age I can eat, talk and essentially live an almost pain free life in regards to my mouth, which is a miracle considering I was told that jaw surgery was my only option. I still suffer from tingling in the area of the jaw where bone was removed in order to help an inplant, and as a result it was something I wanted to avoid at all costs. Truth is there always needs to an Engine Driver and HE is that person As I started out saying , Dr Paul Parminter, literally saved me from a life of constant pain. I am more than happy to recommend him for any and all care in the dental field. If something is not his speciality, he will work with others to achieve the best result for you.

Dr. Parminter is the finest dentist I have had the experience of being treated by. I am one of those unlucky individuals who have endured years of dental treatments and multiple dentists (most of whom, I would not recommend). I was initially referred to Dr. Parminter’s office because of problems I was experiencing with dental work done by another dentist (also a prosthodontist.) From my first encounter with Dr. Parminter and his staff, I could tell this experience would be different. Dr. Parminter gave me a thorough examination and explained my options in detail, in terms I could understand, without pressure to choose one option or another. His staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. Once I chose my course of treatment, everything went great. I chose to have implants placed and Dr. Parminter referred me to an oral surgeon for evaluation. Going above and beyond, Dr. Parminter actually went with me to the surgeon’s office to introduce me and discuss my treatment plan (have you ever heard of such a thing?) and was in the surgeon’s office when I had my surgery…….My implants are in and are PERFECT! Three things I have learned about dentistry are: 1) There is no such thing as ALMOST PERFECT dentistry, 2) you get what you pay for, and 3) have it done right the first time and you wont have to have it done again! I’m so happy with Dr. Parminter and his staff, I drive more than an hour each way to get there and I have referred family to him.

Dr. Paul Parminter is a really great dentist. Does wonderful work and takes care of any dental problems or issues so I never have any worry. he recently fixed a chip in my front tooth and it looks and feels just like it was before I chipped it! He makes dental visits enjoyable! He has been my dentist for the past 5 years. I continue to highly recommend him. Also…nice office with parking available in the building that’s easy and convenient–always a plus in Brentwood!

Dr. Parminter is the most highly trained, detailed and precision oriented dentist you will find in soCal. (I know first hand. See the work I had done at the end). USC dental school, USC grad prosthodontics, instructor at the school, and his DDS dad taught there as well. He is a self proclaimed “teeth geek”! He is the “Dentists’ dentist”. In other words, he is the type of dentist that dentists use on their own teeth to have the very best work done. Also the dentist they refer patients to when they just can’t figure it out and it’s more than a simple, mindless, “drill, fill and bill” case. He has told me, “I’m strange, I just love to work on teeth”. Haha. It sure shows in his passion for my case. Sorry, but he is not your quick, in and out doc, but this is by design and YOU are the beneficiary of the time he takes. He sacrifices the drive-through high volume approach, which compromises the level of care, and instead sets aside the time to think through every aspect of your teeth and treatment plan that will provide the optimal outcome. He is also an expert on materials. What this means to you is that he will consider the optimal materials for temporary crowns and permanent crowns, depending on your bite, the look you want, and obviously, what you can afford. He will install long term temporary crowns to make sure his “prep” of the tooth is the best in can possibly be before he instals the permanent crown. This may be a longer process but it assures you are receiving absolute precision for the long term. Not many dentists will do this, usually because they didn’t develop the analytical skills or forgot them long ago (but will never admit that!). I’ve used three dentists in recent years. A “happy go lucky one” who thought more about lunch that day, surfing the internet, and shopping for cars, than your teeth, and with no sense of urgency (“ah, that pain probably doesn’t mean much, give it a few weeks and see what happens” uh…root canal??), a high volume one who talked a good game, told good jokes, had you in and out quickly with a buzzing office but left you with cracked crowns and a big bill shortly thereafter (sorry, no refunds and that’s not one of his jokes). Ultimately, I migrated to Dr Parminter after hearing a few comments from an oral surgeon friend (“just go to the best..Dr P”) and an endodontist friend (“He’s an unsung hero who does some amazing work “). I also attended dental school (though not a dentist) so I know a little more than the average alligator about the profession. I recommend him with the strongest conviction. Price is case by case and situational, but this is one part of your life where paying for the expertise and quality is the cheaper and healthier (saving teeth!) alternative in the long run. Note: I have had multiple complicated, post root canal, crowns done by Dr P, next is bonding and then some ortho. Great plan he has put together for me! His staff is very nice and highly skilled. Best of luck in your search but give Paul a shot if you want the best!
