Like the reviewer below, I also posted this in the Yelp Listing for Pavilion Dental Associates. I’m still sort of new to the area and have only seen Dr. Wong twice, but after my most recent experience I just wanted to say thanks by leaving a great review for him. I heard about Dr. Wong from a co-worker in the area when I was having some pain about a year ago. My co-worker told me that she had been going to Dr. Wong for many years and was always pleased with her care. I made an appointment and found the office staff to be friendly and Dr. Wong really knew his stuff. I didn’t bring any of my old dental records with me so he did a pretty thorough checkup on me, x-rays, etc. and found a few problem areas that needed some attention.Additionally he found the source of my growing pain. I had some questions and Dr. Wong did an excellent job explaining everything to me. I could tell I was in good hands. He came up with several treatment plans/ potential options, and I decided to try a temporary fix for the issue. He explained that it might help for awhile but I’d probably need to come back and see him sooner or later if/when the pain came back. He estimated that might be in about 8 months to a year. Well true to his word about 10 months later I noticed the same pain and gave his office a call after a few days. I came back in and he not only remembered exactly what we had talked about before, he picked up right where we left off. This time I was ready for the permanent fix and so that’s what he did. The pain is gone, my back teeth feel great, and most importantly.. during the whole procedure Dr. Wong was an absolute master. I felt minimal pain/discomfort and because he knew what he was doing I healed pretty quickly following my treatment. Absolutely top notch!

I couldn’t be more satisfied with Dr. Wong’s treatment. This was my first appointment with him, so I had x-rays and a cleaning. I also needed fillings, and since his next appointment had cancelled on him, he was able to fit me in right then and there for my fillings (which was awesome for me and my schedule because it means I don’t have to go back right away) He was very thorough in explaining every step of the process, answered all of my questions, and had a very fun demeanor and chairside manner–I felt completely at ease with him. He’s definitely the most friendly and personable dentist I’ve ever had. I have very sensitive teeth, but Dr. Wong was very patient with me when we started treatment and had to stop to numb me up. He listened to all of my concerns and offered solutions. He didn’t try to upsell me on any unnecessary treatments or services, which is something I’ve noticed a lot of dentists do. The only thing he tried to “sell” me was an electric toothbrush, and he didn’t pitch it to me like it was something I needed to buy or my teeth were going to fall out without it, it was more along the lines of, “This is my recommendation, this is the product I recommend, and I just so happen to sell it here in my office if you’re interested.” I also want to say that Dr. Wong’s assistant, who was wonderful, and his office staff, who were very knowledgeable and kind. I can’t recommend Dr. Wong and his practice highly enough. I’m looking forward to keeping him as my dentist for a long time to come

Came in with a dental emergency. 5 minute wait time until I was in seat. The Dr asked very detailed questions and took his time explaining my options for my issue. I was referred to an endodontist in another location. They set up my appointment and I was on my way. I will definitely return to this office. Dr Michael Wong and the staff were great!

Let me start by saying I hate dentists. But Dr Wong is the exception to that rule. He is very good at his craft. He takes time to explain everything to you in plain language. His office staff is very friendly and helpful. Today my temporary filling fell out and he fit me in immediately to replace it without charge. I am happy to have finally found a dentist I am comfortable with and trust.

As with the other user, I noticed there are two listings for Dr. Wong, the one with his name and the other with the name of his practice, Pavilion Dental, so I copied my review again below. I had lived in New Jersey for several years and Dr. Wong was always my dentist. During my time in the area, he consistently provided excellent care. After visiting him for regular checkups I decided to fix my smile and choose him for getting some implants. He was not only helpful in explaining the procedure but in my case also explaining how he’d deal with some of the extra complications I was going to have due to the current state of my mouth. I had some pre-exisiting issues from when I was younger, but without going into personal details, I can say he did an excellent job with my implants and I am extremely happy with the result. After several years they still feel great and look great. He was meticulous with the detail, and excellent in performing the procedure, and he made sure I understood what was going on the entire time. This was a few years ago, but what is prompting my review… and my re-copying it over here because I really wanted to help Dr. Wong out…is a recent emergency. I was back in NJ visiting some old friends and during my stay I woke up one morning with a severe toothache. I remembered Dr. Wong, looked him up, and gave the office a call. They were able to fit me in as an emergency later that day, during his lunch break, and when I got there, not only did Dr. Wong remember me right away, but he remembered that he had done implants all those years ago! Anyway, I explained my situation with the toothache, he took X-rays, diagnosed an abscess and took care of it on the spot. By the time I was home, the pain had receded tremendously. Needless to say, I am very grateful to Dr. Wong for his care. He is an excellent dentist and for those of you in South Jersey, he is a clear choice for getting dental care.

(I also shared this post under his other Yelp listing, Pavilion Dentist Associates. It’s confusing that the same place is listed multiple times on Yelp!) I’ve been going to Dr Wong since I was a kid and lived in the Marlton area, but after a recent tooth emergency struck in center city Philadelphia — I’m more appreciative/ devoted/ amazed by Dr. Wong than ever before. Out of the blue one night in the summer, there was an intense pain in my mouth that woke me up from sleep. Since it came from nowhere, I tried to live with it for a day or two to see if it would as mysteriously go away. The pain was terrible — couldn’t think, couldn’t sleep, couldn’t be helped with OTC painkillers. It got to the point that I literally just wanted all suspect teeth to be ripped out of my mouth. Even though Dr. Wong has been my life-long dentist, out of desperation I went to a very reputable, Philadelphia-based dentist. While there, they examined my teeth, did X-rays, and told me the problem was from grinding my teeth at night. The solution? Take Tylenol, and come back for a night-guard. This didn’t feel like a plausible explanation, and the pain was only getting worse. This was not the time to try someone new — this was the time to go to my tried-and-true expert. Dr. Wong was able to squeeze me in as an emergency, and when he looked at my X-rays, there was a tiny shadow that was missed by the other office — but thanks to Dr. Wong’s incredible experience and knowledge, he was able to figure out that what I really needed was a root canal! It was not a fun experience, but I was so thankful for an accurate diagnosis, and the immediate pain relief it brought! Dr. Wong is everything you’d want your dentist to be; gentle, kind, thorough, and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about everything tooth related. (His staff is wonderful too. 🙂 ) After my last foray, I will never stray again: Pavilion Dental for life!

I was pretty nervous about getting any type of detal work done due to some past bad experiences. I read reviews about Dr. Wong that helped me decide to check him out. The reviews were right – the office experience was pleasant, staff was helpful, Dr. Wong took time to really talk to me and explain what was wrong and why. I am really happy that I went and I plan to continue to go to Dr. Wong in the future (and recommend him!

We tried to do a filling without Novocaine (because it wasn’t very deep and a filling such as this wouldn’t typically require it), but when we started treatment and had to stop to numb me up, he took it in stride. He listened to all of my dental concerns and offered solutions. He didn’t try to upsell me on any unnecessary treatments or services, which is something I’ve noticed a lot of dentists do.
