I am so grateful we found Pearl Dental. After numerous unpleasant (and painful) experiences with our last dentist I turned to the Nextdoor app for recommendations. Unfortunately, my husband needed an emergency appointment and they made space for him within a day as a new patient. Since then the entire office has been nothing but kind, professional and accommodating. Last week I had to get 2 crowns, being extremely anxious regarding any type of procedure that requires needles, the team made me feel as comfortable, relaxed and reassured as possible. Dr. James Myers was so considerate and had many tips that helped me get through the entire 2.5 hour procedure without even realizing it. Wonderful people. Nothing but love for this entire crew!

I was in town from Seattle for a few days when my temporary bridge had broken. I called Dr. Meyers on Memorial Day and left a voicemail and the front desk called me back in less than 5 minutes. I explained the situation and his team made sure I would be the first appointment the next day. Dr. Meyers and his staff are so nice! They were able to fix the bridge within one hour. He was incredibly patient and treated me like family and his work was impeccable. Not to mention, affordable! With such great customer service, I will be a customer forever when I’m in town. I don’t like showing my teeth, I’ve always had this one tooth that sat back a bit from the other teeth and it would look weird and ugly in photos. I thought I would need braces and all that to fix it. On top of that I HATE dentists. We grew up pretty poor and didn’t really have dental treatment so I was left with some pretty bad teeth. Flash forward to getting my own dental insurance and going to the dentist for the first time and he pretty much humiliated me, and made me feel like I was dirt. I didn’t go back for about 10 years, and that dentist also made me feel ashamed of my teeth. Finally, almost 10 years later, had enough and went to Pearl Dental and they were so kind and caring it was the best dental appointment I have ever had. On top of that he said they could just do a “partial” veneer to build up that one tooth to bring it forward. After a few hours, cleaning, fillings, plus the build up on the new tooth and replacing a filling, I was left with a new smile. 41 years old and I finally feel comfortable smiling open mouthed AND I have a dentist I trust and love. They treated me like an adult, didn’t lecture me on not going to the dentist and made sure I was comfortable with everything. Hands down best experience ever.

Have not found too many colleagues, friends and family who get too jazzed when talking about visits to their Dentists. But the visionary Dr. James & Dina offer an experience for their patients which could not be more spot on and deliverable. We now have our entire family along with our 92 year old Father coming here regularly. So much so, that we have increased our visit frequency due to the fact that our oral health has vastly improved since we first found Pearl Dental over a year ago. From the front office Team, to super hygienist Taylor, their very, very, genuine TLC is over the top. This along with a spanking clean contemporary office design for the ages. As new patients, my husband and I were very impressed with Pearl Dental as a whole. Upon walking through the door, we were greeted by the receptionist with a very helpful, friendly manner and a big smile. The hygienists, Hannah, amazed us both with the thorough examinations that we both received, her professionalism and the way she explained everything to us in a way that we totally understood. Dr. Myers met with us individually prior to our examinations/cleaning. He explained his office procedure, reviewed the history and prior dental records that each of us provided to him and made us feel very confident that we chose his office and comfortable as his patients. After our examinations were done, Dr, Myers again met with us individually and went over with us our x-rays, his findings and any issues that concerned him and, in his opinion, the best treatment plan for us. The Pearl Dental team is very kind, considerate and compassionate and the epitome of professionalism. I love this office! I have been seeing Dr. Myers for 5 years now and followed her from her old office when she and her husband opened Pearl Dental a couple years ago! Well worth the travel! While she was out on maternity leave I saw her husband, Dr. Myers and my care was just as excellent. I love that Drs. Myers and staff treat you like family! I wish I could give more stars! Let’s face it, going to the dentist is not something we look forward to. We all mistrust dentists. NOT the case here. Just left my initial visit and I’m blown away by the level of honest, friendly service. They are DIFFERENT! Not a corporate atmosphere with quotas to fill. They are thorough and DO NOT recommend service that isn’t necessary. You can trust them. My hygienist Taylor had a personality that lights up the room. I was very nervous to have a much-delayed molar issue addressed. I needed decay removed and a crown seated on a VERY sensitive tooth. Found this office a few years back from a google search. They were close to my apartment at the time. But even after moving twice around the valley, I still travel to go to their office because of the great service and care I have gotten from here. The front desk attendants are always s helpful. I usually get Taylor as my dental hygienist. Talk about the most gentle and relaxing cleanings ever! She is super upbeat and bubbly too. I never would look forward to a dental visit until I started coming here. They talk you through every step of the process and it puts you at ease. I used to put off my dental health because I didn’t like my old office and it was expensive. But this place is affordable and provides the best service. They also take care credit! I don’t have dental insurance so this helps a lot! And they have an in house dental plan you can sign up for too. 100% suggest doing so like I did if you do not have dental insurance via an employer. When I first came here I had 6 cavities I had been ignoring for years…. I was able to get them all filled and taken care of by Dr. James F. Myers over the span of a few months. Now my dental health is a breeze. My teeth and gums have never been happier! This team really does care about you, and your health.

I recently had my first appointment at Pearl Dental and had a wonderful experience. I had Taylor as my hygienist and also met with Dr. James. They took multiple X-rays and individual in-mouth photos of my teeth (all covered by insurance) to make sure they get a detailed view of any potential cavities, cracks or chips they may not be able to easily see otherwise. Taylor reviewed everything with me and explained any areas of potential concern regarding gum health, bone density, and my teeth. Their office is very welcoming and almost feels like a spa – they even give you a warm lavender scented washcloth at the end of your visit! I am very happy to have found such a wonderful dental office and look forward to being a patient for many years to come.

BEST DENTISTS EVER. BEST DENTAL STAFF EVER. Over the years, I have been traumatized by all the dental work I have had done, causing me to rightfully never want to go to the dentist again. My extremely picky mother (Yelp would have lots of 1 star ratings if she were a member) recommended them. I have been in a few times and seen both doctors. When asked who I prefer to see, I genuinely don’t care. Both are great. I have not once needed or wanted gas for any treatment while I was there and that says A LOT for me. Marianna always makes time for me and is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating (two words I always misspell and just initially did). Sarah is so friendly and good at what she does (NOT gagging me to tears with the x-ray thingies). I had a pain in my tooth and called right before they were closing. Marianna was able to get me in, x-rayed by Sarah, fixed by Dr. James Myers, and on my way in the time it would take to have a pizza delivered. LOVE THEM!

My teeth have required a lot of work over the years and with the amount of drilling and filling I’ve been through, I have every right to hate going to the dentist but I have to say, I enjoy going in to see Dr. James and Dr. Deena. I don’t mind going to this dentist at all and that is rare for me. They are honest and upfront with everything going on and even though it would mean more money for them if they left me to my own devices, take great care to help me improve my oral hygiene. No matter where I move to in the Valley I will continue to make the trip to Pearl because it is completely worth it and the first time, I have enjoyed going to the dentist. I typically do not write reviews, but Dena (the dentist) & Taylor (hygienist) in addition to the receptions were truly so friendly, warm and professional. You can tell that the company culture (though small and family owned) must be great because they all seem really happy to be there and love what they do. Going to the dentist isn’t really seen as an enjoyable activity for most but they made sure I was extremely informed and also comfortable. They communicate details and share x-rays, photo, etc. I like that they are transparent but also it is visible they prioritize service, which I would almost compare to VIP service (I come from a hospitality background). I do highly recommend them and I’m glad we stumbled upon the team as we are newer to North Scottsdale. Thank you Pearl Dental team!

Pearl Dental is your destination for family-owned and family-oriented dental care! Our staff will provide you and your family with the dedicated, comprehensive dental care you deserve ranging from the cosmetic, to the pediatric and even emergency. Our business was born from late night talks about lack of opportunity for my wife and I to practice the standard of dentistry our patients deserve. After dental school, we spent 5 years working for multiple other practices and looking to buy an existing practice. It became clear that we needed to create a fresh start up to realize our vision. Over the next year, Pearl Dental became a reality - the practice we are proud to call our own is here to provide your best dental experience to date. I grew up in the Pacific Wonderland of rural Oregon. Most of my days were spent adventuring rivers, lakes, and woods with my family. I completed undergraduate studies at Oregon State University (Beavers! Not Ducks) and then moved to Portland to attend Oregon Health and Science University where I would meet my favorite classmate and future bride. I spend my free time enjoying travel, photography, board sports, microbrews, and Dena’s cooking. Also, I do my best to sneak away to Oregon as often as possible. I secretly want to moonlight as a DJ because I believe life deserves a soundtrack.
