Best orthodontist I’ve had! This was my third round getting braces because I’m such a perfectionist and I was recommended to see Dr. Chalabi. I’m so glad I did! Dr. Chalabi is very direct with you up front and tells you what he can do/what he can’t. He really takes the time to thoroughly explain his recommendations, and tries to be very real with you (even if you might not want his answer). But one thing you can always count on is that Dr. Chalabi really ensures he will make you happy in the end and tells you what you can expect. I also had a deadline as to when I wanted my braces off, and he stuck to that promise. Usually other orthos delay it for months and months, but he followed through with his word and took it off even earlier than what was agreed on. I only had my braces on for 6 months this round, but my teeth had the biggest improvement compared to when I had braces on for 2 years awhile back. I’m VERY happy and highly recommend coming to Perfect Smiles Orthodontics. I wasn’t a patient here but I had the honors of shadowing him as I am a pre-dental student. Dr. Chalabi happens to treat my brother, mother, and close friend. As I have spent hours watching him interact with not only my family but his patients, it is easy to see that he loves his patients and what he does. Dr. Chalabi has excellent communication with his patients by thoroughly explaining the entire treatment process, whilst always making you feel welcome. As a single mom the affordability made it worthwhile. I have not been to an orthodontist, let alone a dentist in more than 4-5 years. I had the BEST first time experience with Dr. Chalabi and his receptionist/assistant Sadie. They have the most welcoming personalities that just made me feel so comfortable and at ease right off the bat. I knew from my first visit this was the place I would be getting braces for the second time in my life! The office environment is extremely clean, contemporary and well taken care of. Doctor Chalabi has the absolute best to offer when it comes to ortho– and great conversation! He always makes my older sister and I feel free to express any doubts or comments we have and never let’s us get bored to death, unlike most dentists’ and orthodontics’ offices. I admit that getting pulled out of school to go to my ortho appointment was no longer a drag. Yes, getting out early from school is always welcome, but knowing it was to go to Doctor Chalabi’s office was the main attraction. The work he has done for my teeth and my smile, of course, has never been short of amazing! This was the best experience with braces I could have ever hoped for! I had ceramic braces and Dr. Chalabi warned me they do take a little more time to shift your teeth but I was okay with that. Besides getting them on the very first few days I was pain free for almost the entire two years!! How is that even possible? It was amazing. Dr. Chalabi worked really well with shifting around my schedule when I would change my appointments last minute constantly. After our family dentist informed us that it was time to start exploring orthodontics options for our daughter – we found Perfect Smiles Orthodontics based on its Yelp reviews and decided to set up a consultation. I have been impressed with Dr. Chalabi, his professionalism, honesty and stellar customer service since my first phone call to his office to make an appointment. He answered all of my questions directly and honestly and prepared us for what to expect at the consultation. When we arrived for the consultation we walked into an extremely clean office and beautifully furnished office that made me feel like I was in a day spa, though my daughter gravitated toward the cool video game display on the wall and the neat “lava tiles” on the floor. Dr. Chalabi personally welcomed us and gave us a tour. During the consultation he was extremely kind and respectful to my child, asking her permission before each time he checked her mouth and he put me at ease with a very honest explanation of what he recommended for my child and why he recommended it. It’s been about one year since I’ve started. I am so excited about my progress so far. Dr. Chalabi is exceptionally good at this! He does all of the orthodontic work on his own. Scheduling is very flexible. Also, he sends appointment reminders by text which is super helpful! I haven’t had any major pain during the process. The price is extremely reasonable. Payments are flexible, too. I would recommend him for everyone who wants braces! I haven’t needed wax, but he has already stated several times I can come get additional wax from him any time I need it.

The first time I went to Dr. Orfan’s clinic was about one year and a half ago because I had crooked teeth and an overbite. He was very professional explaining everything and I decided to get my braces with him. He warned me that I might experience pain and tension in my teeth in the first two days, I was surprised to not feel any pain that I thought that my braces were not placed correctly. I expressed my concern to him in my next appointment and he laughed as he said many other clients have also expressed that they did not feel any pain. He is very flexible with appointment schedules and he always made my appointments to my convenience. He always allowed me to schedule my appointments for the weekends, which was very convenient to me as a working woman. I never had to wait for my appointments. I highly recommend Dr. chalabi as he is great with people and great at explaining the treatment process and options.

I really like this orthodontist. We moved from out of state and at our prior orthodontist, my daughter’s mouth would hurt a lot after each monthly adjustment. With Dr. Chalabi she has no pain after her adjustments and her teeth are looking great. At the prior orthodontist, the assistants did the adjustments, but here Dr. Chalabi does all the adjustments which could be why her mouth no longer hurts after these appointments. He is also very down to earth and helpful with any questions that you may have. I don’t usually give five stars on this site, but Perfect Smiles definitely deserves it.

So, I was diagnosed with TMJD about 3 years ago, and I was told that braces would be the only course of treatment left for pain management. So, I shopped around and me and my mom found Dr. Chalabi’s office and I couldn’t have made a better choice! When I went in for a consultation, Doc was very welcoming and very knowledgeable about TMJD, unlike other offices I’ve been to. I was scheduled to have my braces on for about a year an a half and we only went a month or two over, unlike other orthodontists may go for many months or even years over their treatment plans. Doc is always very very kind and welcoming. He always went over my treatment plan and explained what he was doing and why, never did I feel lost or kept in the dark about my treatment plan or what was going on. During my longer visits (ex: getting my braces on) he always checked in to make sure my jaw wasn’t in too much pain and let me take breaks as I needed for my pain. He is always super fast during monthly appointments and always checks to make sure you aren’t in pain and that your braces aren’t poking you. Also, he was very accommodating whenever I requested 3+ colors to wear on my braces that month. His assistant, Sadie, is super nice and welcoming, I love talking with her during my appointments, she never fails to make me laugh! Now, I have had my braces off for a few months now, and I’m currently on retainers (which are rainbow colored!) and I couldn’t be happier, my teeth are absolutely perfect, my bite is much more aligned, my overbite has been corrected, and most of my days are absolutely jaw pain-free unlike 2-3 years ago when I was in moderate-severe pain almost daily, and my popping and locking of the jaw has decreased dramatically. I cannot thank Dr. Chalabi and Sadie enough for my beautiful smile and for always making me feel like family whenever I came in! Thank you so much Doc!

The best orthodontist ever and I shopped around! Ultimately came back to my first stop, Perfect Smiles w/ Doctor Chalabi. I was impressed from the first consult, but knew i should shop around and compare, after all it was going to be a two year commitment! It has now been 7 months, and I could not be happier that I went with Doc. He always goes out of his way to make sure his patients are happy. Very easy going and great service all around! His assistant Sadie, is super sweet too. I had a wire poking me that I did slightly feel when he asked, ‘is anything poking you’, but didn’t think it was a big deal, until late that Friday evening, so I called him at 6am on Saturday ( office is closed sat), and he opened up to come in and fix it! That was when I really really knew I made the best choice! Obviously I am now extra careful to check for slightly long or poking wires before leaving the office, like most of us, Doc. has a life outside of work. But he was so nice and cool about it.

Well, just a few more months and the braces come off. What should have been a pain in the mouth experience turned out to be a fairly pleasant one, all thanks to Dr. Chalabi. Dr. Orfan Chalabi has been creating beautiful smiles for over 20 years. In fact, he has a passion for perfecting smiles! Dr. Chalabi earned his dental degree from Damascus University, School of Dental Medicine. He went on to earn his Master of Science degree and Orthodontics Certificate from State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. Prior to moving to California, Dr. Chalabi served at Clinical Assistant Professor at State University of New York. He stays informed of the latest advancements in orthodontics by maintaining professional memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Chalabi also loves inspiring people to achieve their personal best. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Leadership at Walden University, and plans to open a Leadership Academy for youth. “Orthodontics has the power to enhance self-confidence and improve self-esteem, which can ultimately help people become successful in life.
