I have searched long and hard to find a dentist that was totally into PAIN management and Dr. Phyllis Schaub is the one. I had so much anxiety about going to a dentist I just did not want to go because I dreaded the numbing shot and feared right in the middle of a cavity being filled the shot would wear off (this happened to me more than once). Phyllis Schaub is the best dentist ever not only because she performs excellent work on my teeth and gums but both her and the entire staff are friendly and welcoming. They treat you professionally an at the same time as a friend not just another patient. The office is really nice, plus they have TV with headphones to watch something while they clean your teeth or perform a dental treatment. Office and equipment are up-to-date. I like coming here and recommend this office and Dr. Schaub and her staff to everyone.

To anyone who is in need of a dentist, I HIGHLY recommend Dr.Schaub. I live in South Orange County and was finally ready to get a smile makeover. I had been wanting veneers for years but had always been too nervous to even start the process, or even how to start the process. After having a few consultations I ended up at Dr. Schaub’s office. Lets just be honest with ourselves….who really likes to go to the dentist or any doctor for that matter. I sure don’t. I hadn’t been to the dentist in years and had never needed too as i had never had a cavity in my life. The wife had been begging me to get my teeth cleaned and being the negative Natalie i am(no offense to any Natalie’s out there) i told her nothing goes wrong until you see any Doctor. Well a happy wife is a happy life so i went. I was a tad bit nervous because i truly had not been to a dentist in ages and i didn’t want to come out of there with a ton of work needed, a few cavities and needing to go back over and over again when my teeth felt fine. The staff was friendly and when i was put in my chair i immediately heard the soothing sounds of sportcenter on the TV in front of me…….LOL comforting! The assistant let me know exactly what was happening and after X rays, an exam by Dr. Schaub and a cleaning by the hygienist Kathy i was off and running back to work.

I have had several procedures done by the good Doctor, and I would have to give my highest possible accolades! Crowns. As someone who was once nervous to go to a dentist, I have to say this entire office is the best! It is welcoming, clean and everyone who works there is friendly and feels so knowledgeable about teeth! I have been coming here for many years and have always felt they have done a wonderful job on my and my family’s smiles. They seem to have the best and most up-to date eqiupment, very fancy-schmancy, but I have to say that I have never once felt like they tried to over-sell me on something I didn’t need (I hate that at doctor’s and dentist’s offices!) This had to of been the best dentist experience I have ever had hands down. As a child in the 1950’s I had terrible experiences with having work done on my teeth. The anxiety lasted until the late 1980’s when I discovered Dr. Schaub and her staff. I almost look forward to going to the dentist, and I definitely look forward to seeing Dr. Schaub, Cathy and others in the office. It’s like visiting friends — except they help keep my teeth healthy. I love that I can get a crown done the same day right there. I would and have recommended them to anyone who is looking for excellent dental care in a friendly, comfortable environment. Not much more I can say except it’s September 2018 and I’m still going to Dr. Schaub and still wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. It’s 2020 and I still feel exactly the same.

Dr. Schaub and her staff made me feel very comfortable when I came to her office to get my cavities filled/last month. I drove all the way from Costa Mesa/Newport Beach to Mission Viejo just to go to her and it was definitely worth while! I was not excited at all and I didn’t even want to get the anesthesia but they made me feel a lot better about it once I was in the chair. I didn’t even feel the shot, or her working on my teeth at all! I felt very welcome and it was fun hearing their stories as they worked on my teeth. When they were finished I didn’t feel any more pain at all! It was a really great experience and every one was so nice. I definitely recommend going to Dr. Schaub! And will go again for my 6month check ups!!

I am really happy that my brother-in-law recommended that I go to see Dr. Schaub when I was having a toothache. Turns out I had a pretty bad cavity and needed a filling. Dr. Schaub and her staff were very kind and took very good care of me, helping to alleviate the pain and provide me with the filling that I so desperately needed. My tooth now feels MUCH better and you can’t even tell that I have a filling. The tooth is partially visible when I smile so I was worried about looking silly, but Dr. Schaub recommended a white filling that blended in really well with the rest of my smile– no silver or gold sticking out like a sore thumb.

Dr. Schaub is a great dentist. The office is very high tech. For instance if you need a crown, they make them right there in the office while you are waiting. No temporary crown and coming back to have the real one installed. I am the worst dental patient in the world. I have a gag reflex. Dr. Schaub and her staff were able to work around this masterfully. A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Schaub specializes in composites, cosmetic dentistry, cosmetic veneers, crowns, inlays, onlays and implant restorations. We also offer ZOOM in office teeth whitening and at home whitening kits. Our hygienist specializes in preventative oral health care with cleanings including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing. The entire office team is friendly and knowledgeable to provide each patient with the best possible care. Our office is conveniently located in Mission Viejo, with easy access from both the 5 and 73 freeways. Dr. Schaub takes the greatest care with her patients, whether they are coming in for a routine cleaning, veneers, teeth whitening, dental implants, or more. Dr. Schaub completed her Bachelor of Science in 1978 at the University of Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Doctorate Degree in Dentistry in 1982 where she focused on cosmetic dentistry. In 1984 Dr Schaub completed a post graduate residency at Loma Linda University in Hospital Dentistry. Dr Schaub also continues her dental education in many area including dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and digital imaging. Dr Schaub loves to spend as much time as she can with her family. She has 4 children Nick, Sarah, John, and Katie. Dr Schaub enjoys playing tennis, golf, snow skiing, reading and walking her Goldendoodle, Chanel.
