I am terrified of the dentist and I had to get an abscessed tooth extracted. I was asked to get a second opinion on pulling it 7 years ago and again this year. Dr. Choi looked at the xrays and said no problem I can do it today. This was a week ago and I asked to schedule today because I wasn’t prepared mentally last week. I went in today I shook the whole time but he was good, they numbed it well to where I did not feel a thing, he was quick and it was done before I knew it. They also did 4 fillings which was unexpected but great to get done. I have to return to get 2 wisdom teeth extracted and I’m less afraid. Entire staff was great, office is clean and large, there are TV monitors in the exam rooms. I highly recommend Pomona Family Dental.

We’ve been coming here for about 6 or 7 years and we love it. The staff are so friendly and go over everything with you. They are upfront about pricing and we always seem to get an appointment that works for us.  Dr. Choi is thorough and gentle and will even take pictures of any issues with your phone camera to show you.  The hygienists are great and make you feel so comfortable if you’re nervous. We were there last week and are happy to find out they   are moving next door to a bigger place. Thanks guys 🙂

Love this place! I have been bringing my kids here for a couple of years and they have friendly staff and a great Dr. Dr David gets right to the point no waiting for an hour before he sees you. Also, if your child needs any work done they do it right then and there no having to schedule appointments for a later time. I would recommend this dentistry to all my family and friends.

Fantastic, the most Amazing dentist I have ever been to. I had an extraction done. Thinking that I was going to hurt at some point but no nothing happened. Walked out of there like nothing then went home to relax. I recommend Dr. Choi to anyone that needs dental work. He puts you at ease and tells you exactly whats going to happen

I really liked this place. Staff was nice and respectful willing to help. The first impression of any place you visit is the staff at the front and that pretty much or most likely defines how things will go from there on. I rally appreciated the fact that the Dr. Actually showed me each cavity he said my daughter had which gave me comfort in knowing that he really cares and is being 100% honest. I have heard of other places where they tell you that you have this and that just to do the work when you really didnt need it done. This is important to me regardless of whether your insurance covers or you’re paying yourself. I took my daughter there and now my husband and myself will be going there.

It’s hard to find a good dentist, but I think this is (by far) the best one in the area. I would even drive 100 miles to see this dentist. Dr. David Choi seems to run a very efficient dental office. Dr. David is straightforward and someone I feel can be trusted. The dental assistants were very expert at what they do. The assistants (including Susan and another nice woman) were gentle, professional, and thorough. At *other* dental offices, I usually get a terrible sore throat that last for days after cleaning. But this time, presumably because I think I may be allergic to fluoride and mouthwash, I requested that fluoride and mouthwash not be used. I can now see clean spaces in my teeth where there was once buildup between my teeth. Kind of weird (but good) feeling of being able to feel space between my teeth. Also, no sore throat! If you’re looking for a great dentist, then you may find it worth the drive to Pomona and Dr. Choi. It would be hard to find better.

I’ve been going to Pomona family dental and seeing Dr David for over 4 years now. I don’t know anyone who enjoys going to the dentist, but I can say I don’t mind it because it’s him and his techs that I know I’ll see.  Appointments are easy to set up and their new facility is great.  From the receptionist to the techs to Dr. David, they’ve always been kind, friendly, and done great work. I didn’t have insurance at the time I first saw him, and it was his reviews and affordable prices that drew me to his facility even though he was over 20 miles away, but after that I’ve continued to go to him even after moving even further away, from montebello to culver city and then to torrance,  because I trust him as my doctor and I know that’s hard to find.  Definitely recommended. Plus, I’ve never gotten shots with such minimal pain as the ones he gives!

This dental office was very clean when I walked in. I Had an appointment at 11 o’clock. I did not get seen until 11:33. Be prepared to wait  just a little bit. Finally Evelyn the dental hygienist took me in. She  did some X-rays and reassured me what I needed done was going to be quick and easy. Evelyn was so so sweet very informative. You just have to really pay attention to what she says because she talks a little fast. Other than that she was very good. The dentist Dr. Choi came in he introduced himself shook my hand and went over that I needed a tooth extraction. The dentist was very informative about payment the medical situations and then he gave me my extraction. Literally it took like 15 minutes it was really easy not a lot of pain. I totally made a good decision by coming to this Dentistry and I will come back again.

I was looking for a new dentist and saw the yelp reviews for Pomona Family Dental. Being that it’s less than a mile away from work I figured I would give them a try. Boy am I glad I did. Scheduling: I called to schedule an appointment on Friday 5/23/14 and they were able to scheduling me for the coming Wednesday. Love, that I didn’t have to wait too long for an appointment. The gentleman I spoke to (don’t remember his name) was very polite and helpful. I asked if I needed to come in early to fill out paperwork and was told that I can or I could go to their website and fill out the information there, print it out and bring it in with me. Appointment: 5/28/14 The place is small but nice and faces the main street Gary Ave. so you can’t miss it. When I walked in I was greeted by Gabby and was sweet as can be. I gave her my paperwork and waited for a minute before being called in. Luis was the gentleman who did my x-rays and Jackie was the lovely lady who cleaned my teeth. I like that she was thorough and not rushed (it had been a year since I went to my dentist since I was looking for a new one, eeekkk) She also measured my gums since I mentioned to her that I have periodontal disease and told me what areas to focus on, how to brush and of course to floss (by the way flossing has been so much easier and better since the cleaning.) Jackie told me to make sure and come back in 4 months (I was going to my other dentist every 3 months) until we made sure the periodontal disease didn’t get bad. I then had Dr. Choi come in and check my teeth out. He noticed a few “soft areas” in the crevice of my molars and said that he wants to make sure they don’t turn into cavities (I’ve only had 1 cavity my whole life). He prescribed me with a stronger fluoride and mentioned how this should help strengthen those areas and it can be mixed with my toothpaste. Funny that he says that because I was using natural toothpaste without fluoride for a bit over a year. I’m happy that Dr. Choi cares enough to keep my teeth healthy and doesn’t just want to make money off of people. I can’t wait until my next appointment! Before I went to Dr. Choi, my husband had swallowed a crown that was supposedly fixed by our previous dentist on two occasions so he went to Dr. Choi and voila! No loose crown; it’s stayed in place and all has been well. My husband is definitely going to start going to Pomona Family Dental also. Thank you!!!

love love love this place!!!!!! i called in the morning and was told i could be seen as a walk in from 9-11 or 2-4. i walked in at 10:40 am and was out by 11:42am. i never thought that was possible at a dental office but they proved me wrong. from the front office to the guy that took my x-rays (who by the way was super detailed in explaining what was gonna happen and how the dr works)to the dr being super understanding and helpfull. i could go on for hours on how good this place makes the patients feel. good vibes all over and i will definetly be there again and recommending everyone to go there

I really love this place! Friendly staff and great place to come to. It’s been a while since I had gone to a dentist but once I came here I was really happy I did. You don’t expect much from a Dentist but this place is awesome for adults as it is for kids and that’s saying alot! I recommend this place for anyone that is looking for a Dentist. You won’t be disappointed! This is now my home dentist! Keep up the good work!
