I was recently visiting Portland from San Diego and had a minor orthodontic emergency (everything and anything is an emergency in my opinion when it comes to my braces). I looked up Portland Pearl Orthodontics, gave them a call and asked for help! One of the elastics holding my wire to my bracket on my front tooth snapped. No biggie, but the staff at Pearl were very supportive and friendly and told me to come on it. They applied a new elastic and I was on my way. It’s nice to know that the staff at this office were more that willing to help out someone who was not their patient or a paying customer. I can’t remember names, but thanks to the staff at Pearl Orthodontics in Portland. You have a fan in San Diego!

Dr Miller is a pro. Super easy to get an appointment (not the case everywhere…), and for me it’s a pretty awesome location: I don’t have a car, so the streetcar stop outside is a plus, but to be honest I work downtown I usually just walk (which is probably faster than the streetcar anyway…). There’s loads of parking anyway though if you’re from a bit further out. Also he’s opened late one or two times so I don’t have to miss work (I’m not sure how often he does this, but he seemed totally chilled about the whole thing when I asked – probably phone up and see first though!), which is really the reason I’m writing this review – that’s pretty awesome service.

Dr. Miller and his staff are STELLAR. I have researched by and far for the best orthodontist north of Arizona and he is by far, the best! I had a horrible trauma to my mouth several years ago and have had hours of research and numerous consultations that I’m familiar with not only what I want but what to expect. I recently moved and I failed to make my initial appointment (sorry Dr. M and Jan, my faux pas) and called back a few months later and I was able to get right in. Dr. Miller and I had a brutally honest chat and we were in total agreement about my treatment, plan and duration. I’ve been a patient of his Portland office for about three months now and my smile is looking more radiant than ever. Thank you, Dr. Miller for not only providing exceptional service but providing those minor details that make me delighted as a patient.

got a great smile! love it- wish I had done it earlier but couldn’t due to my schedule- the late appointments were the clincher and was the reason I was able to do it. My Invisalign treatment was super quick especially with the Propel treatment I did. My son is going here now and loves the game room they have- he could hang in there all day long and that makes it easy if I need to get an errand in before his appointment finishes

Dr Miller and the staff are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! They are always so attentive to every patient and genuinely care for each and every one of us. I am extremely glad that I decided to come here to get my braces. They are quick to answer any questions that’s I may have. I was amazed at how They called to check up on me a few days after I got my braces, they genuinely care for their patients. Dr Miller and his staff are more than just a business, they are more like family. A family that are always welcoming anybody who will allow them to change their life, at the start of their smile. I was in braces for close to 3 years before, but my before and after picture didn’t reflect that. My front teeth never aligned and always stuck out like buck teeth. After doing careful research, and going through a few days with braces done at Dr. Millers, I can already see good results. My front teeth look straighter and they don’t stick out. Could it be because I came from a higher volume practice to a close knitted one that made the difference? Dr. Miller only has two practice room guys, which leads to more individual attention on your teeth. Just a side note: Dr. Miller isn’t just an expert in aesthetic teeth straightening, he knows how to bring functionality back to your bite, assuming if you lost teeth or just have a bad bite. Go here if you have anything complicated you will be taken care of.

Extremely happy with my smile. I’ll admit, I didn’t smile much before as I was self conscious.  Dr. Miller and his staff were always fun to go in and see and Jan at the front desk is very friendly.  Dr. Miller is clearly well trained and explains what is going on in the process. Extremely happy with my final results and am glad I listened when he wanted to do some further revision work on my teeth.  Even though I wanted the faster result, he was totally right to want to do another few trays as my smile and bite are now picture perfect and something to smile about. I moved to Seattle and often smile when people compliment my teeth and I tell them of my great experience with Portland Pearl. I tell them they should consider taking BOLT bus down just to see Dr. Miller and experience his excellent care. 😉

Dr. Miller has been my orthodontist for a little over a year, in that time seen SUCH a big improvement in my smile. Besides the cosmetic benefits of straight teeth, a crossbite put a few of my teeth at risk for fracturing later in life, so the health long-term benefits of sooner-than-later orthodontic care are more important than most people realize. I have lingual braces (braces on the back of your teeth) and they are a really tricky way to adhere braces, and in ADDITION to the technique being difficult, I break inordinately more brackets off of my teeth than most orthodontic patients normally could if they used their mouth like an *actual* circular saw for nacho eating (I live life on the edge, I guess, what can I say?). My visits are always SO quick, completely and entirely without discomfort, and Dr. Miller only compliments his devastating good looks with the etiquette and charm not to criticize my shortcomings in personal orthodontic care. If it weren’t for Dr. Miller, I would probably be terrified of this kind of work. The best part about lingual braces, is that you don’t have to take them in and out like Invisalign; Therefore you are less likely to lose them or decide not to wear them for a few hours- and NO ONE KNOWS! I can honestly say that I already have a smile that I never dreamed of, and receive compliments on weekly.

Great office great staff brought my daughter here and will bring my son here. Family friendly atmosphere and it does not feel corporate like some of the other offices I have been to. Definitely recommend this to any of the Chapman, Ainsworth or West Sylvan kids as this seems to be where they all end up from what I can tell in the afternoons I bring here.

My teenage daughter has been seeing Dr. Miller at Portland Pearl Orthodontics for about 15 months now, and we have been extremely impressed with the professionalism, skill, warmth, and above all PATIENCE, of the entire staff. It’s never fun to have braces, but my daughter happens to have soft enamel on some of her teeth due to asthma treatments she received as an infant; this has made braces a lot more complicated for her (and Dr. Miller), since brackets often won’t adhere well to those teeth. Her teeth are also extremely sensitive, so procedures that are somewhat uncomfortable for a typical patient are intolerable for her. Dr. Miller has consistently approached each difficulty with patience and good humor, and has found ways to solve each challenge that comes up. He has also been incredibly kind and understanding with my daughter, who has not always been the easiest patient to work with. My husband and I can’t say enough about Dr. Miller and his staff. They do great work, and are good people. We highly recommend them!
