I am so scared of needles and shots but I don’t know what technique she uses that when she is getting me numb I don’t feel anything. Dr Alka Mahajan earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University, Boston, 2004. Since then she has worked as an Associate in a dental practice and become proficient in all fields of dentistry. Though skillful in all fields of dentistry, she really has a passion for restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She uses latest dental technology such as digital X-Rays and Carivue (instrument that can detect decay without radiation). With her skills and gentle care, Dr Alka Mahajan is well liked and respected among her staff members and patients. Dr. Mahajan makes it her mission to provide caring and compassionate care to all patients from the start to finish of their appointment. She always strives to go above and beyond for her patients and has even gone as far as driving a singular, elderly patient home, whose ride was getting late in picking that patient. Dr. Mahajan always puts her patients first and will do whatever need to be to ensure they know this To keep herself updated with the latest dental technology and education, Dr Alka Mahajan frequently takes Continuing Education courses such as Implant Dentistry and Lumineers. Even with a busy schedule, Dr Alka Mahajan balances her work life very well with home life. She loves cooking and spending quality time with her family. She even volunteers at Northern Virginia Dental Society clinic and shows her dedication and compassion on patients who are in dire need of dental help.
