Dr Pura Mayor Chico is the best dentist I’ve ever had. She makes me feel comfortable and is always upfront about everything without making one guilty for their imperfect teeth. Her staff, front and back, are always polite, smiling, and positive. Their hygienists are top notch as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (coming from a 4th year dental student). I trust the dentists here so much that I have referred my whole family. Every staff member is super friendly and you truly feel at ease in this dental office. Dr. Pura and Dr. Sonoda are excellent. Compared to other dentists I’ve had in the past, these two are very attentive and actually care about me instead of just rushing through appointments. I’ve had exams, cleanings, and fillings done here – all of which I have been extremely satisfied with. Dr. Pura has even fixed a small chip on my front tooth that had been bothering me for awhile. It was a miracle to me that I couldn’t even see where the filling was – she got the color matched so well and blended it perfectly with the rest of my tooth. If you’re looking for a new dentist, I would highly suggest coming here.

I have a terrible confession to make: I can’t tell you the last time I have been to the dentist. That alone can equate to how much I fear, loathe, and despise the dentist. That being said Dr. Mayor-Chico’s general dentistry was a huge surprise. Dr . Mayor-Chico was referred to by a friend and was told that she is highly professional and will not make you feel like crap regardless of how bad your teeth are. This place is a judgment free zone, and all she truly care about is the well being of her patients and that says a lot of her character and practice.If you are afraid of the dentist or just having been in for awhile I recommend Dr. Mayor-Chico’s place. She is by far the most easy and relaxed time I have going to the dentist. She is courteous, gentle, professional, and prices are ridiculously fair. If you’re on a budget talk to her staff, who are all nice and willing to help you with the best of their powers. Seriously do not look any further and just go to Dr. Mayor-Chico’s dentistry, you can thank me later after you walk out with the most immaculate smile.

There is only one person I trust with my teeth, and that is Dr. Pura Mayor-Chico.
I have been going to her for years and have nothing bad to say about her or her staff. They are always so polite and helpful, everything you could ask for from a dental office. They’ve always made sure to answer any of my questions/concerns and take care of any teeth issues I may have. To prove how amazing Dr. Mayor-Chico is for example. Today I accidentally chipped off my bonding/filling on my front tooth while eating a Laffy Taffy… I panicked because I have a presentation for school coming up so I called the office to see if they had any openings. Sure enough they took a look and squeezed me in their busy schedule to help me out. My tooth looks even better now than before it was chipped. She produced a work of art in my mouth. I am very happy here and you will be too!

A visit to the dentist isn’t usually in one’s top 10 destinations. With this in mind, Dr. Pura has certainly changed my outlook, albeit for the better. Her professional and calm demeanor helps put patients (both children and adults) at ease. Her staff also does a very good job in promoting a welcoming atmosphere. If you feel you are not getting all the good service and assistance you expect from your dentist, go see Dr. Pura and give her a chance. I have been with her for a long time now and I don’t see myself changing providers anytime soon!

Best dentist I have ever had!! I initially went here because my brother referred me and I live in walking distance but the care they provide will keep me coming back. Tooth extraction, Cavities, fillings and one heck of a deep cleaning! next time I wont wait 10 years to go visit a dentist… With that being said I am glad I was able to get my work done here. Very efficient and considerate to their patients, got worked on by two dentist on separate occasions and they were both very good at what they do. The Dental Assistants were also excellent and did a great job assisting during my procedures. Lastly I was referred to a specialist for the removal of all of my wisdom teeth. Very honest office.

Wow! Had a semi emergency a two weeks ago when a filling broke and I needed to go out of town for a wedding. I spoke with Dr. Mayor-Chico and she had me come in on the next day to do a temp fix until I came back from out of town.Her staff is amazing and so is she! A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Pura Mayor-Chico has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years now. She received her license to practice dentistry in California in 1990. Dr. Mayor-Chico graduated from the University of the Philippines in March 1987, as one of the top students in her class. She was in the Top 10, in 7th place out of over a thousand candidates, of those who took the 1987 National Dental Board Exams. She migrated to the United States in 1988, and passed all the required exams by the National and California Dental Board of Examiners, the last of which she took in UCLA in 1990. She received her license to practice dentistry in June 1990. Since then, Dr. Mayor-Chico, or "Dr. Pura", hasn't stopped educating herself to be a better dentist to her patients. She has taken several classes and enrolled in programs to hone and add to her skills, always striving to give the best care she's able to give a patient. She has taken Esthetic and Endodontic training programs through UCLA's Dept. of Continuing Education. She also attends many seminars at USC Herman Ostrow's School of Dentistry. In 1995 she finished a 2 year orthodontic course, designed for general practitioners, with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars (POS), an established and well-respected orthodontic training program. She has also studied the clear aligner orthodontic therapy program and is a certified provider of both Invisalign and ClearCorrect. She has been a member in good standing of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the California Dental Association (CDA). She belongs to the Orange County Dental Society. She established her own dental practice in 1999 and has been in her current location for the past 13 years. Her office address is Anaheim but borders the cities of Cypress, and Buena Park. The office is 1 block east of Cypress College on Orange Ave. Realizing that technology is ever changing and that the practice of dentistry is always evolving, Dr. Pura diligently keeps abreast of the latest changes and advances in her field. This ensures her patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care she's capable of giving. But never losing a down-to-earth and personal approach, her small but dedicated office team aims to make every dental visit a pleasant and comfortable one for each patient!
