Pure Design is far and away the best dental practice I’ve been to in Chicago! Dr. Diehl really cares about his patients’ best interests. Summer is very thorough and loves sharing her knowledge / passion about dental health. Dorthy is reliable, funny, and always there to greet you with a big smile. The office is modern and comfortable as well. Can’t say enough good things about Pure Design and its staff!

Pure Dentistry is an amazing dental practice. The level of professionalism and skill may easily be the best in Chicago. Dr. Diehl is highly skilled, patient, and extremely focused on his client’s needs. His team from Summer the Lead Hygienist to Dorothy the Office Manager will provide you a seamless and enjoyable experience. Trust this practice, and your expectations will not just be met but exceeded.

I never thought I would actually enjoy and smile so much at the dentist. I had a great experience here! Very welcoming and humble staff and also professional. Dr. Diehl and his staff explain the procedures step by step. I wasn’t blind sided at all. My previous dentist was not bad but he wasn’t as educating or informing as Dr. Diehl. My experience was more enjoyable here than an average dentist. The assistant is very informative and gentle. Makes the procedures I needed smooth and painless. Overall, this is not an average dental office that make s you feel uncomfortable or make you feel like a patient. It is a very friendly and homey like feeling and day-spa at the same time. I highly recommend Pure Design Dentistry. Especially if you are looking for caring and honest staff who will work with you every step of the way. They genuinely care about you and your oral health. I hadn’t been to a dentist in two years when I learned of this location, and they were in my network.  I was used to a fairly plain, blah, dentist experience before as well coming from a small town so I, first off, was impressed by the modern look of the office.  The staff was very friendly and familial in how they worked with you and explained various aspects of my cleaning and subsequent return visit about a cavity.  I was very happy with their knowledge in this part of the process.  Dr. Diehl was very thorough and I felt relaxed going back in to have a cavity filled (I’m not too fond of needles).  I’d also never seen my own X-rays on a TV screen before as I did in this office.  It was a great learning experience to go through my X-rays like this and to see what the doctor was explaining in detail.  The glasses you wear, too, were a first for me.  I highly recommend seeing this doctor.  It’s pretty close to the Red Line if that is encouraging.

I really enjoyed my visit and will be going back. The people were friendly and attentive. The office was not only clean, it was inviting, and they had Monocle in the waiting area, which made me disappointed that they called my name right away and I didn’t have time to read it. My only negative comment would be that there were a couple instances where I felt like I was being sold to. For example, part of the new patient process included asking me how I would rate my smile and what would make me rate it a 10 which led to them telling me about their whitening. It just made me slightly uneasy as a new patient to feel like I was being sold to. By the end however, I was confident in Dr. Diehl and trusted his advice wasn’t just about making a buck. He commented on a number of things my previous dentist commented on and came to the same conclusion which it wasn’t necessary to do any additional work to address those right now. Like I said, I highly recommend Dr. Diehl. 

I’m usually too lazy to write reviews regardless of my experience, but I must say that I found my new favorite destination to protect my smile. As soon as you step into this sleek, suave office, you forget you’re at a dentist office. That is, you’re greeted by the friendliest receptionist, who even gave me a tour of the brand new building. I immediately felt at ease and welcomed and not just another cold patient. As Dr. Diehl is the only dentist there, it is easy to feel as if you’re his only patient! He is immediately available, his staff is extremely warm and friendly, and everyone knows your name. Yeah the climate is nice and all, but the main thing is keeping the main thing, the main thing: And that’s talking about quality of the service. Dr. Diehl saw me right away. He then reviewed my intake x-rays with me and briefed me without confusing jargon about what was going on. I came in to see him about the pain I was experiencing from a tooth fracture. A previous dentist had made it seem like this was the end of the world for me, however, Dr. Diehl calmed me down and gave me a down-to-earth assessment of the situation. He taught me that not only was it not all that bad, but that the filling the previous dentist used was inappropriate for the shape of my tooth- yes the shape of my tooth. I knew right away that this guy was for real. I never head of a dentist actually paying enough attention to consider how everyone’s treatment is different because not everyone has the same teeth structure and shape. No wonder why the filling didn’t last. Dr. D filled it right away, explained how the type of filling he was giving me would be sure to last and how he customized it to align with the j shape of the groove of my tooth, and made sure to check in with me constantly about how I was feeling along the way. I feel amazing now! He was patient, attentive, informative, and prompt…..I true customer service is rare these days and I know it when I see it. I’m definitely coming back to him for all other future dentistry needs and would recommend him to anyone. I even was so happy, I asked for a few cards to pass around work. This dentist is better than the tooth fairy!

Absolutely everyone in the office is charming and I continue to be impressed by their professionalism and friendliness. Dr Diehl has done Invisalign for me and my smile is now picture perfect. In my case Invisalign took a little longer than the original estimate, but those extra trays and appointments didn’t cost any extra money. It was an excellent value. Recently they needed to work on (a couple more) cavities. What I used to think of as a stressful experience was quite easy. The color matching to my real tooth color is expert. More importantly the entire experience was pain-free. Everyone from Dr Diehl to the office manager Dorethy who is charming and detail oriented to my skillfully conducted cleanings performed by dental hygienist Summer have been stress-free, worry-free and most importantly painless. I remain a very satisfied customer.

I moved to Chicago 2 years ago and was sad to leave my excellent dental care in Milwaukee so I waited to find a dentist. I waited a bit too long because by the time I needed one my teeth had major problems. I looked at reviews and found Pure Design Dentistry. It was close by my house and I had driven by it many time and always commented on the nice looking office. I called to make an appointment and it was such an easy process. The office staff is very kind and helpful, never rushing the patients through the process. I have major teeth problems and major dental anxiety to go along with it! Going to Pure Design Dental has calmed my fears and nerves because everyone is kind and understanding. Dr Diehl is a very kind person who didn’t judge or shame, he just wanted to get me out of pain and move forward with a treatment plan. He is an AMAZING dentist who cares about his work environment( very clean, stylish and state of the art) and also cares about his patients. He is great at giving shots ( yup that is possible) and made me feel less anxious through the process. He does amazing work and got me out of major pain 2 times now. He treats both patients and staff with respect, which makes it an easy environment to be in. He also has relationships with endodontists and oral surgeons that are very willing to get you in as soon as possible. I know the dentist can be overwhelming, but Dr. Diehl is AMAZING !! Even if you are nervous to go to the dentist because you haven’t been in a while, this is the place for you!! There is meter parking on Clybourn and I have always found a spot right outside the office. It is near the North and Clybourn red line stop( aprox 2 blocks north). They have great hours and you do not have to wait forever to get an appointment. If I could give a 6 star rating I would !!! Dr. Diehl is a HUGE asset to the dental community and to the neighborhood. We have found our family dentist!!

This is the dentist everybody wants and can’t seem to find. Friendly, unbelievable bedside manner, and completely proficient in his craft. Not only is he kind and patient, he talks you through everything and shows you exactly what he’s doing through digital pictures. I felt completely comfortable and at ease from the moment I stepped into his office. Dr. Diehl is thorough and meticulous. His office is clean, contemporary, and only operates with the newest tools and procedures in dentistry. If you have to go to the dentist, see Dr. Diehl. You will thank me for this gem.

Highly recommend!! Before switching to Dr. Diehl, I was not a fan of the going to the dentist. Until I found Pure Design! From my first appointment at Pure Design, it has been a pleasure ever since. Great staff, great location, excellent service!! Summer is an amazing hygienist!!!! Dorothy at the front desk is amazing and super helpful with all everything, and Dr. Diehl is a great guy, very smart, and does a great job of explaining everything and makes going to the dentist a painless, effortless, and even a pleasurable experience.

My first appointment at Pure Design went very smoothly! The staff welcomed me right away and my appointment started almost as soon as I walked in. Summer, the dental hygienist, was very attentive and communicative of what she was doing and needed from me. I also appreciated how conscious she was about the cleanliness of her tools and her area. Finally a good Dentist. Dr. Diehl & staff are unbelievably awesome. Their knowledge, technology, and passion is what this world needs. I had bad and missing fillings that were giving me issues, and their x-ray tech showed me the exact problem. My old office gave me no help even though they did the work. Dr. Diehl really took the time to explain everything in a definitive way and made me super comfortable through the whole process. Great staff, great office, great tech, SOLD.

Having a new job and new dental insurance, I was looking for a new dentist and saw the reviews for Dr. Diehl and Pure Design Dentistry and decided upon his practice to get my dental work done. I hadn’t been to the dentist in at least 2 years because of a anxiety ridden experience at another dental practice, so I was a bit apprehensive, but from the time I walked through the door and throughout my ongoing experience receiving my dental care there, I have been pleased beyond belief with the expert care I have received. The entire staff at Pure Design is committed to Dr. Diehl’s vision of what he wanted to create in his practice. This is a group of caring, compassionate, highly competent, professional, respectful, and accommodating individuals that make going to the dentist a pleasant rather than a dreaded experience. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Diehl and his entire staff, and I would highly recommend without reservation this dental practice for anyone who is looking for a new dentist.

Great experience all around. The office is spotless and hip. The staff are welcoming and nice. The Doctor himself is great; very professional and courteous. I went my whole life without a cavity. He found one, but for being my first experience in that realm it was flawless and easy; no pain, quick and made me feel very relaxed as I was pretty nervous about it. I can honestly say that I look forward to my next visit!

Feels more like a trip to a day-spa than a dentists office. The place is right out of a modern design catalog. Scheduling was easy, the staff was super friendly and, most importantly, the dentist was very thorough and fixed up my teeth without it hurting at all (I’m a big baby at the dentist!). The tools seemed cutting edge and i saw my entire mouth displayed on the big screen TVs while everything that was being done was explained in detail. My mouth and I are very pleased…

Pure Design is incredibly clean, modern, and equipped with the latest state of the art dental equipment office.  Summer did an incredible job with my teeth cleaning today and I couldn’t be happier. She explained everything to me and gave me some wonderful tips on at home hygiene I should follow. My first visit to Pure Design Dentistry was an excellent experience. Very clean, impressive office and exam rooms. Friendly, knowledgeable and competent staff and, of course, Dr. Deihl. State of the art equipment, like a digital camera wand that took photos displayed on a flatscreen TV, that allowed me to see first hand what the doctor saw and helped me better understand the treatment plan. All in all, a great choice for my dentist! Highly recommended. My second appointment was equally impressive. Dr. Deihl is super detailed, explains everything that he is doing step by step, and is incredibly professional in every way. Very impressive. 3rd appointment, crown is in place with perfection. No discomfort. No issues. No problem. This guy rocks.

I want simply to echo the previous reviewers.  I have had nothing but positive experiences in my (thankfully few) visits to Pure Design Dentistry.  Each of the staff members and Dr. Diehl are friendly, courteous, and professional.  I would not go so far as to say that a visit here is like coming to a day-spa, but it certainly is not like pulling teeth to come here (which can only be a good thing, given that it is a dentist’s office).
