Wow I honestly cannot tell you what an amazing Dentist Dr. Yap is!! Of coarse it is the entire practice and all the employees here that make this an amazing group! I myself work in Healthcare and very knowledgeable. They will accommodate you every way possible as well as no pain or fear. I love they offer late hours and occasional Saturday appts! In my 40’years this is the best Physcians staff and practice I’ve used as I’ve relocated frequently. I will drive 2 hours if I ever have to as long as they accept my insurance myself and family are here to stay!! I don’t rate much except when it’s an excellent business! I work for Methodist and we have very high standards and know days we have a choice as customers and these guys have set the bar Not one thing can I suggest to improve I’ve actually taken notes to utilize in my work environment!! Thanks Again you guys Rock!‍ Even there music selection rocks!‍

I don’t know where to start!! This was the most pleasant, pain free dental visit I have ever, EVER had!! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was safe and going to be well taken care of. Ana was amazing and friendly. Dr. Yap and the team took very great care of me. My nerves are always bad when going to the dentist. Especially when it comes to the needles. Dr. Yap knew I was nervous and she provided the numbing meds WITH NO PAIN AT ALL!!! Like NONE!!! I don’t even know how. It was the best dentist visit!!! Then I had to call back today to get more information, Ana was nice and explained everything to me. This will be my dentist FOREVER!! Thank you guys so much!

Exceptional care! I haven’t been to the dentist in let’s just say “awhile” basically Out of pure fear and many bad experiences in the past. The moment I walked in I was at ease with the polite staff who welcomed me and took the time to listen to my concerns. Dr. Yap was vibrant, knowledgeable, professional and personable. The staff was amazing, they offered comfort, care and courtesy throughout the visit. I am very satisfied with this group! If you have reservations about visiting the dentist give this place a chance. My view of the dentist has completely changed after my visit today! Thank You Pure Smiles Dr. Yap and Staff!!

I use to hate going to dentist as a kid but the dentist offices weren’t like pure smiles when I was a kid. The dentist here truly care about your teeth and your well being. The staff is super accommodating and friendly. Every time I come back for my check up, they always seem so sweet and inviting. It feels like going to a dentist in your family. You should give them a try, I’m glad I did. I usually don’t write reviews too often but I had to write one today. I was feeling under the weather but I had my appointment today. They went above and beyond to make me feel good during my visit. I truly appreciate so a sweet staff. So good job and thank you.

I have lived in Houston for almost 10 years now and have visited numerous dental places. Some like to get you in for a cleaning and try to stack other things you DONT need on top. It’s like going to the mechanic for an oil change and they come out with a laundry list of things your car needs. Other dental places just want to charge you as quickly as possible and do not even give you a chance to ask questions. And then there are places like Pure Smiles. A place where attention to detail is present as soon as you walk through the doors. A place that offers drinks, water, juices, sodas as complimentary while you wait (not just coffee like other places). A place whose treatment coordinator (Ana) is so good that she treats you like family, like a friend, like a loved one. I have been to pure smiles at least 4 times now in over a year and will go for a 5th time in November. I never once felt like a patient here. The staff is polite and answer all the questions that you ask to the best of their ability and if they cannot answer they seek help to get the answer you need. Now let’s talk about the doctor herself. Dr. Yap is absolutely incredible, outgoing, funny (you will see it in her personality) and keeps your mind at ease. She sees the problems, makes good recommendations and then performs great work. I’ll be seeing her soon again. According to their website there is another doctor but I have never interacted with her so I can’t speak about any experiences with that doctor. I go on Wednesdays for the hygienist who is very approachable, friendly, carefully, thorough and all the positive things you can think of. I heard great things from my wife about the other hygienist they have. Each time you visit them you get a “goodies” bag to keep up with your hygiene. This is by far the best dental place I have visited in the Houston area. I really appreciate the fact that they don’t try to shove as many “procedures” that you “need” down your throat. They function like a medical professional office should. They give you the problem and provide recommendations. And then it’s up to you to decide what to do. But they never try to reach inside your wallet by taking you to some secluded room with a person (not a doctor) who tells you what you “need” (cough royal dental cough). This is a very strong staff and that might be the biggest reason why Pure Smiles is the best right now (my opinion). You have consistent levels of professional performance by staff coupled with courtesy and honesty. I really do leave this place with a smile each time. For those that have never visited this location I leave you this advise: be as open as possible and don’t hold back. Don’t just say you “floss here and there” or “your diet has changed”. Tell them everything in detail so that they can provide the best diagnosis and recommendation. Be descriptive and be open. You cannot expect any medical office to read your minds. This is one of those rare places where your voice is HEARD, so speak up and good luck!

Dr. Yap and Kristy were amazing. I have a lot of anxiety related to dental visits, but this one was different. The entire staff was so welcoming and warm throughout the process. Their treatment plans are realistic and I didnt feel like I was a patient being used to bill out unnecessary procedures. Im happy to have found this practice after trying so many in the area. The bonus is that their facility is beautiful. The latest in dental technology and TVs while you have your dental work done. Who wouldnt like that? Make your appointment today and you won’t regret it.

I’m soo happy I found this office for my family! Dr. Yapp is so sweet and kind! I literally have no jitters with her and this is coming from someone who hates needles!! You CANT feel it when she gives them!! I keep telling her she needs to share her gift with other dentists!! Lol I love her staff,they are sooo kind. Anna the receptionist is so sweet and always remembers me when I come in! I’m so glad to be in good hands. There is never no judgement. They are there to help. Thanks guys!

I love Dr. Yap. She’s really the best, so nice and patient with everyone. I used to get anxious every time I’ve gone to the dentist (injections, painful cleanings, rough hands digging in my mouth leaving me sore for days) but ever since her clinic has taken care of my dental health, I’m confident and comfortable in their care. I had a gold crown placed by her; she got that sucker on with the 1st try! Not much reshaping needed! The staff (assistants, hygienist, front desk) is super nice, the office is clean and up to date. There are 2 TV’s in each room to keep your occupied while they work on you!! I never feel the anesthetic injection with Dr. Yap. She has the magic touch. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a great family dentist!

I haven’t seen the dentist in years, and for my six year old it had been too long. Like most, not craaaazy about my annual dental visit exams; so I had put off. Dr. Yap’s office and staff are the sweetest. They worked hard with me to find a time that worked, and we were both seen. They are friendly, professional, and talk you through things as you go. Recommend them to anyone!

I’ve been going to Pure Smiles since I Moved to katy 2 or 3 years ago. The staff are always friendly and professional! Dr. Yap is the best and only recommends dental work when she sees it is needed. I’ve had dentists in the past do unnecessary dental work on me so they can make extra money. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

I hate going to the dentist, but I have never hated going to Pure Smiles. I had such a bad experience the last time I went to the dentist that I avoided going for almost 10 years. As you can imagine, I was dreading the visit but Dr. Yap made me comfortable and eased my mind using Netflix and numbing medicine to get my mind off of it. I was never in any extreme pain and they were kind throughout. Yes, patient care is important but what I like most is that she remembers me every time I come in and she talks to me as if we are friends. I don’t even live in Katy anymore but it’s totally worth the 30-45 minute commute down I-10 for this place. This personable service will keep me coming back for a long time.

I had the best experience at Pure Smiles. Very professional and helpful staff. Ana made sure I understood my treatment plan and answered any questions I had. I am very satisfied with my dental work and my routine cleanings. Dr.Yap and Silvia make you feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout your treatment. I highly recommend this place. Can you believe I didn’t feel the needle while I was getting anesthesia? That’s impressive!

What an amazing experience! I’ve had quite a bit of dental work in my lifetime and this was by far the best experience I’ve had a dentist office! This was such a pleasant experience. I had to have two root canal’s done in one day and this is the first time EVER that I did not feel a thing. No, seriously… I did not even feel when she stuck me with the needle to numb my mouth. Dr. Yap is soooo amazing at her craft. Not to mention, she is very kind and personable. I’m so happy I found this office. Her ENTIRE staff is amazing too! PLEASE DO NOT hesitate to make an appointment… I promise you will NOT be disappointed. Huge THANK YOU to Dr. Yap and her team! P.s. her receptionist is amazingggg! Oh, and I forgot to mention, they are following all of the Covid 19 safety protocols to the FULLEST!

AMAZING DENTAL CARE! I was very impressed from the beginning to the end of my appointment. The front office team was very welcoming and I loved all the snacks they had in the reception room! The assistant was very nice and gentle with the X-rays. I’ve had very bad experiences in the past and also have a high gag reflex! Dr. Yap has a very relaxing, playful and yet very professional demeanor. She explained all of my dental needs and went in detail to even review the X-rays! I was always weary of docs who just shove an expensive treatment plan in my face! I love this place and highly recommend Pure Smiles to everyone!!!!

I am always VERY picky about my dentist and their office. I hate waiting 50 minutes to be seen for 5 minutes by the actual dentist and take three hours off of work! Pure smiles nails customer service and exceeds my expectations every time! With a great support staff, I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes to see the doc! My husband and I each go to a different dentist here and they are both amazing. They discuss all of your billing options and costs BEFORE the treatments (many places don’t) and take the time to preauthorize with your insurance). Both dentists are wonderful and have great personalities! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good dentist!

We had a great experience today at Pure Smiles. Denise really made sure we were comfortable and was very patient, especially with our 2 year old. We’ve always had great experiences when we come to Pure Smiles, from the receptionists to the dental hygienists to Dr Yap herself. You can tell they not only care about your teeth but you as a person. This is the first dental office that we don’t dread going to and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist.

I’ve been coming here to this practice since they opened. Either 2015 or 2016.. I have moved completely across town, and tried another practice. Nothing comes close to Dr. Yap & her team. In my experience everyone from front office (Ana is awesome) to any tech and hygienist I’ve experienced has been professional and personable! Lovely lobby area with complimentary refreshments & they always give you a cute little bag with floss, toothbrush, etc. I will always drive here for my dental needs

I went for a general teeth cleaning and Dr. Yap instantly made me feel very comfortable explaining the entire procedure. Her assistant Silvia speaks Spanish and she translated everything for me making sure she was aware of the due process. The hygienist Denise proceeded to clean me in a very gentle way and I was very comfortable with the result. The place is highly recommended, I will definitely stay with this clinic. Fui a una limpieza general de dientes y Dr. Yap me hizo sentir muy cómoda al instante explicando todo el procedimiento. Su asistente Silvia habla español y me tradujo todo asegurándose que estuviera al tanto del procedimiento debido. La higienista Denise procedió a hacerme la limpieza de una manera muy gentil y quede muy cómoda con el resultado. Muy recomendado el lugar,definitivamente me quedare con esta clínica.

I’m new to the Houston/Katy area, therefore Dr. Yap is the first dentist I’ve been to since I’ve moved here. One word…AWESOME! Very friendly/entergic staff, elegant decor and comfy environment. She and her staff are highly skilled and educated.The office is very modernized and I adore the waiting room/bathroom amenities. Another plus is they have movies/netflix! I am highly impressed. My overall experience was so great at Pure Smiles this is actually the first review Ive posted on yelp!

I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! The staff was so friendly and accommodating when it came to making an appointment. I am normally nervous about dentist visits but from beginning to end, I was well-informed and taken care of in a way that nerves were no longer a problem. The dental assistant, Sylvia, was so kind and explained what she was doing at each step to ease any anxiety. That was common throughout the appointment with Dr. Yap and with Sahar, the hygienist. They were willing to go above and beyond in helping me get referrals and other information. Complementing the wonderful staff was a clean, beautifully designed environment with, what seemed to me, the highest technological equipment suited not only for the staff but the client. You can tell they value customer service and quality care. Will definitely be making PS my go-to dentist office.

So happy with the dental work Dr. Yap performed. I’ve had several crowns done in the past, over 40 years. This is the first time I did not feel the crown in my mouth when I left the office, usually they never fit 100% and it would take several weeks for the crown to settle in, not this one it was perfect!

Best Dentist and staff in town. Dr. Yap has been my dentist since 2014. She is absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, super kind and caring. Her staff is just as wonderful as her. If you need oral surgery then you can conveniently see the orthodontists next door. Pure Smiles also takes care of my husbands and my kids smiles . Thank you Dr. Yap and Pure Smiles.

I cannot say enough great things about this dentist. This is the first and only dentist I’ve come to since moving to Houston, and I enjoy everyone in the office from the front staff to, both hygienists I’ve had (today was Sahar, and she was so professional and informative , she gave me some great tarter reconfigure toothbrush tricks), and Dr. Yap had a great and bubbly energy ! The entire office is beautiful, and I’m a huge fan of the little dental goodie bag I get at check out, while booking my next appointment. I’m a fan of getting complimentary bleach refills each time I visit the office too. Overall- I highly recommend checking it out. They are next door to Starbucks (which I how I found them, I was literally sipping my chai latte oneday, and happened to notice a beautiful dental office) which makes it super easy to find, and hey- when you’re done w your appointment, you can go next door and get your coffee, tea, etc.
