I found this dentist by looking for a bargain cleaning and used a Groupon they are currently advertising. Was perfectly happy with the visit. It is in a Chevy Chase apartment building suite. Dr. Cofer is very pleasant and does the cleaning, x-rays, and exam herself. Cleaning was thorough and I came out feeling good. To try to convert new patients in on a discount like me into returning patients, they have a referral program. If you refer 3 people to the practice for a $55 intro cleaning/exam visit, they’ll honor that price again for you too. Good deal if the location works for you.

Myself and my two daughters have been coming here for years. Dr. Cofer and her staff has always treated us with love and care, it feels like a family event every time we have an appointment. Her staff is very professional and detailed. They send you text messages and emails of upcoming visits so you wont forget about your next appointment which helps me out a lot. My daughters love going to the dentist because of Dr. Cofer and her staff. Also my daughters are 7&8 and they haven’t gotten a cavity yet in part because of Dr. Cofer.

I have referred two people to her because she is so good.  I have extensive work that I need done and she explained everything to me in detail with patience and didn’t try to upsell me on any costly procedures.  I’ve had some really crappy dentists in the past but she is very pain sensitive and will make sure you are comfortable when you are in her chair.  I’ve had an extraction done and didn’t have any issues with pain before or after.  Mrs Cofer has an overall delightful bedside manner and the receptionist is really sweet and courteous too.

Dr. Cofer is extraordinary. She’s patient, thorough, and does whatever it takes to be sure you are comfortable in the chair, whether it’s for a consultation, an exam, or a cleaning. She has a steady and gentle hand and she has a wonderful bedside manner. She takes the time to listen to you and makes sure that you don’t leave until all of your questions and concerns are addressed and that you understand all of your options. Her assistant Mandy is very sweet and she has such a pleasant personality. I’ve never looked forward to going to the dentist with any other doctor! We need more health professionals like her!

Getting into the building was a little tough, but luckily there was someone passing by inside who opened the door. That’s the only hiccup, however, the rest of the visit was wonderful! Dr. Cofer had amazing bedside manner, constantly checking in, and even used a topical numbing cream so I wouldn’t be uncomfortable during the cleaning. She even told me certain things about my jaw and mouth that no other dentist ever mentioned so I had just assumed everyone was walking around with the same conditions. Dr. Cofer was kind and informative and while I currently have dental insurance, for most of my adult life I have not which I mentioned in passing. She was gracious enough to inform me that they also work on a sliding scale, so if I lose my dental down the road I shouldn’t be afraid to still come back. Very grateful to have found a great dentist in DC!

On Nov 29, 2016, I found out about Groupon and Quality Dental Care located just three blocks away from me while surfing the web. I was apprehensive because of the negative reviews here but the receptionist (one thumb up) was friendly and I was able to get an appointment for today/Dec 1st. A courteous (two thumbs up) male dentist walked through the reception. Then a nice and pleasant (three thumbs up) female dentist accompanied her patient to his way out. Her name is Dr. Cofer. I have nothing but praise to write. She has gentle manners. She is soft-spoken, knowledgeable, very patient, professional, caring. I will go back to her as soon as possible for the rest of the treatment and for my regular visits from now on.

The office isn’t the most technological advanced but the service makes up for it because it’s incredible. You can look into other offices but I’m sure the price won’t compare. This office is for people that need a good speedy service with a great dentist. Dr. Coffer has an amazing personality, I mean she makes you feel at home. I was a bit nervous but she eased the tension. You can tell she has years of experience, so don’t hesitate to pick her brain about interesting facts on dental hygiene.  I read various reviews online about bad experiences but I happened to enjoy the dental cleaning I had (with a Groupon, mind you). Dr. Cofer was very kind and the appointment itself was quick and easy. The office itself was inside of an apartment that was still being renovated and the exam room looked like it used to be a bathroom with a dentist’s chair pushed into it. I have never had such a pleasant dentist experience! I went to Dr. Cofer for my first cleaning in 4-5 years, expecting a ton of cavities and an awful time. I thought I’d be lectured about my poor dental hygiene and leave with a sore mouth, no money, and feeling terrible. Instead, Dr. Cofer was super understanding and didn’t spend too much time talking about what I had missed. She focused on what she was seeing, how immediately we’d need to fix it, and what behaviors I should change to address it for the future. She was thoughtful about the discomfort I was feeling and asked frequently how I was doing and if I wanted to take breaks. Her cleaning was thorough and I feel very good about the care I received! Alicia (spelling?) was also great – super friendly and helpful, and by far the best dental x-ray photographer I’ve ever seen! Overall I had a great experience and am so glad to have found Dr. Cofer – I’ll definitely be telling all my friends to see her
