Dr. Liu is a caring and friendly dentist who is capable of performing many procedures. I’ve had him as my dentist since moving to LA over half a decade ago, and he has provided me wonderful service from general cleanings to my wisdom teeth surgery. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, he clearly outlined the nature of my teeth and how he would go about the procedure. (E.g. 2 impacted teeth will require him to remove those piece by piece instead of one swift pull.) Dr. Liu finished my procedure in a bit over an hour, and then he gave me post-op care instructions. According to a friend who has shadowed Dr. Liu before, he was a board-certified oral surgeon before moving to the US and earning a certificate to practice general dentistry. Definitely overqualified to be a general dentist, but all the better for his patients like me! (Apparently other dentists sometimes refer their patients to Dr. Liu for ops because he’s so qualified (?)) I’ve had no dental problems Dr. Liu can’t fix! I highly recommend him.

Been a patient at Dr. Liu’s for over 8 years now since moving to southern California. Before I didn’t get much dental work which resulted in poor teeth health. Over the years, Dr. Liu has put in diligent work to save and bring my teeth back to decent condition. He even enlisted a specialist, a periodontist, for some work. Dr. Liu attends to my dental care and the well-being of healthy teeth. He advocates and encourages me to be attentive to dental hygiene and maintenance.

Dr. Liu is everything you want in a dentist. He really knows his stuff. He is careful, honest, on-time, and has very reasonable fees. His office is efficient and well run with the latest equipment. We’ve also used and liked Dr. Meng, the orthodontist who works out of his office. Most of his patients are chinese (we are not). I think you’ll be very happy with Dr. Liu. Well I’ve had three more crowns since my first review and all of them were done at Dr. Liu’s. They were all more or less hassle-free and fit perfect. I should point out that I do not have dental insurance and still the prices were very reasonable. Recently, Dr, Liu handed me off to another dentist in the office and she did an excellent job too. Now that I think of it, it does seem odd that I’ve had three crowns in such a short period of time…. He did tell me to floss more, and I do. I’m glad I have Dr. Liu to save what remaining teeth I have. Yay!

Dr. Liu is by far the best dentist I have ever seen! I had a rotten molar with a nasty infection. I saw a dentist who even though I was in a lot of pain, gave me ibuprofen and a referral to another dentist and a quote for the work she would do. I left in more pain than I came in with. Then someone referred me to Dr. Liu. Not only did he diagnose it right then, he proceeded to do the work that needed to be done. I have a very restrictive dental insurance, so mindful of that, he did what needed to be done for them too. On top of that, he made an action plan to help me before my work trip coming up less than 2 weeks after that initial appointment, so that I wouldn’t be in pain while on it. They have squeezed in several appointments for me so that I can get as much done as possible. He and Dr. Lee have made me realize going to the dentist doesn’t have to be a traumatizing, negative experience like it has been my whole life. Thank you to all of them in this office!!! Go to them if you can!!!!

Dr Liu has been my dentist for 20 years. All my routine exams and cleanings have done thoroughly. He never pushed un-needed work. He let me know when I really did have to replace a filling and explained why. During the treatment, he took the time necessary to correctly assess my situation and did a crown. He explained every detail of what she’s doing before, during and after the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Liu as trustworthy dentist in Los Angeles area.

Dr. Liu has a kind, friendly, patient personality. He is also a capable and trustworthy dentist from my point of view even though I may not be in a perfect position to judge his professionalism. He also has a good connection with UCLA dental school, which provides convenience once certain exam involves the cutting edge equipments there. Dr. Liu is bilingual, speaking perfect English and Chinese, which certainly helps when it is necessary to explain to patients with variety of culture backgrounds. Dr. Liu has been the dentist for me and my family for more than 10 years, doing regular teeth cleaning, as well as other more complicated procedures. The processes have been always smooth and satisfactory. Dr. Liu is also willing to consider the patients financial concerns and help the patients in every way that we can think of. Dr. Liu has been the dentist for my family in the last 10+ years. He is a great person and skillful doctor. He is very experienced in taking care of many different kinds of teeth. Because he also teaches at UCLA, he knows the new technologies in the dental area. All his staff are very helpful and friendly, and speak both English and Chinese. He has several offices, the one I go most often is at Wilshire Blvd and Federal Ave, close to UCLA. His office opens on Saturdays, so my children can see dentist without missing school. For every appointment, I always receive a reminder phone call two days before, so I have never forgotten an appointment. I had two implants done in his office in the past four years for the two teeth I lost since I was a child. I was so hesitant to do the implant procedure, because the idea of put a screw into my jaw just scared the hell of out me. However, the procedure was actually no pain at all, although it took several visits to the dental office due to the nature of the surgery. Most important of all, both of the implanted new teeth work perfectly so far. It is really worth the time and the money. My family goes to his office for teeth cleaning and regular check every six months. Dr. Liu is also an expert for young children’s teeth care. Both of my children started to see him since about two years old, they are teenagers now and both have white and strong teeth I recommended Dr. Liu to many of my coworkers and friends. So far everyone has a pleasant experience with his service.

Well, I’m sold. I was a longtime client of Dr. Peter Lu in the same office before he retired (and had Judy cleaning my teeth regularly back since the 90s when she was with Dr. Glucksman). Both are gone now. But after three visits, I’ll be sticking with Dr. Liu and with Betty cleaning my teeth as long as I reside in the city. Dr. Liu has the same delicate touch when it came to fillings, along with a similar gregarious personality and recommendations that were recommended but never forced. The one big advantage over Dr. Lu is that similar work done on my teeth has been easier on my wallet so far, and I’m extremely appreciative of that. For any prior clients of Dr. Lu who were wary, I recommend continuing with Dr. Liu as your dentist.

I love Dr Liu’s place. The staff members are super friendly and extremely considerate. The doctors are gentle, skillful and informative. They always explain things in details, including pro and cons of treatment plans, and the cost. There is never worry over rip-off of any kind. Actually I believe they offer the best price vs quality on the Westside. I’ve been having regular cleaning, 2 root canals and 1 implant done so far, and the work has been very nice and neat. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Liu’s office in Agoura and have been meaning to write a review for a while. I first found this office when I had a huge cavity in my wisdom tooth. I wasn’t happy with my previous dentist and I let the cavity go too long before taking care of it. It was extremely painful, keeping me up at night. I found Dr. Liu through my insurance’s directory of contracted providers. When I mentioned I was in pain, his office found an appointment time for me right away. When I met with him, I was really panicked about the tooth and the pain I was in. Dr. Lieu was incredibly patient and caring. He gave me options to save the tooth or extract it and talked about the considerations for both. Since it was my last remaining wisdom tooth and didn’t oppose another tooth, I decided to have it extracted. When I had my other wisdom teeth pulled out, years ago, with a different provider, it was a little traumatic and took a while to heal. I went in to Dr. Liu with that in mind. The experience was the complete opposite. He extracted the tooth in 5 minutes, expertly and painlessly. Literally, painlessly. When I saw the tooth on the table afterward, the roots were enormous, and the cavity looked like it took up 1/3 of the surface area of the tooth. Considering the length of the roots and the fragility of the tooth, I was extra impressed with how he expertly took it out in one piece. I’ve since been back for other visits, cleanings, x rays and to have an old filling fixed. Every time, I was so pleased with the service and felt like I was in really expert hands. The office is no frills, but the patience, attention to detail and sensitivity I experience each time are exactly what I was always hoping to find in a dentist. I have recommended Dr. Liu to family members and friends, confident that they will be well taken care of.

Dr. Liu has been my dentist fro the past 18 years. Now my whole family is seeing him, including my 5 year old daughter. Dr. Liu has 2 locations, one in Agoura hills, the other near UCLA. Every time I come in, I am impressed by the new equipments he adds to his clinics (I come in every 6 months). Specifically, Dr. Liu is very good with children. My family have been visiting Dr. Liu’s dental clinic over 17 years, and have 2 routine visits a year. Dr. Liu’s exceptional skills and caring are the reason why we never change our dentist. He not only takes care of our teeth, he also communicates with my kids. My two teenage kids love to talk him and become mutual friend. Always greeted with a great, ‘genuine’ smile. Staff is always on time, and if you are early and they are finished with previous patient, they bring you right in, no needless waiting around. Extremely clean facilities. They have a unique blend of being highly professional, along with kindness and consideration. Even after a simple cleaning, Dr. Liu, no matter how busy he is, will come to check if you have any questions or concerns. I was very anxious about extracting my wisdom teeth, but Dr. Liu and his team made me feel well taken care of. Also, they take Medi-Cal/Denti-Cal! He played his operation room playlist and made sure I understood every step of the process (since I was conscious during the operation with local anesthesia). When I panicked during the operation, they took their time to take breaks and have me regroup. He answered all my questions and concerns even after the surgery. Overall, highly recommended dental practice. They truly care about their patients!

My lower left wisdom tooth was impacted, and I needed to find a dentist office that takes my insurance. I found this place a bit far from where I stay but I didn’t mind since everyone is so great. Everyone in the office is super kind, patient and super accommodating. When I had gone in for my wisdom tooth extraction I was scared out of my mind, especially at the fact I would be awake while they do all of that inside my mouth. But Dr. Liu was super kind and understanding, while answering all my questions. Next thing you know he was finished in under 30 minutes! He was very accessible afterwards, if I had any questions regarding the healing process. Overall after having pretty bad dentist experiences, this office is the best one! Even though I moved to both OC and Riverside, I still make the trip out to Dr. Liu because he and his staff do such an awesome job.
