If you want the absolute best dental care, this is the place to go. Dr Amo’s credentials are stellar and his experience & knowledge are abundant. Add that to his skills and you have one of the best dentists in Orange County. His staff are so nice and kind too. I feel like family when I go and I go 4 times a year for regular cleaning and checkup. Have been doing this for more than 10 years! Cost is above average but so is the service and skill. Highly recommend Dr Amo.

I have been a patient of Dr. Richard Amo’s for now going on 8 years.
I came to him after my insurance sent me to a (different dental office) or some other multi-located horror chamber of oral torture.
The one I was sent to had dirty dental chairs; and the “hygienist” and the dentist were anything but! And the walls were visibly dirty. Used things and plastic containers were stacked in just outside a closet door that couldn’t close cause it was so full.
After sitting in the chair and having the hackles on my next stand attention – I simply got up and told the assistant I would not be staying. I handed her the bib and simply walked out.
This AIN’T that!
Now don’t get me wrong, I was trepidatious. I had heard these people were really nice by everyone I asked. Since most ALL my dental experiences have been less than appreciative, I wasn’t so much doubtful as resolved to feeling some pain and having to block out Dustin Hoffman & Sir Laurence Olivier! (WATCH Marathon Man!)
But, I took a chance. My mouth hurt.
When I walked in I was approached by the receptionist/office manager, Tenae.
She sets the time for the whole experience – so you know it’s going to be a breeze.
From early in the appointment I felt this would be a good match.
Then I was introduced to Angela, the hygienist & wife of Dr Amo. Talk about a cohesive transition. She was very cool. Also careful not to cause any discomfort and was friendly and gentle.
When I met Doctor Amo, it was also very soothing. He made it so by being specific on what I was going to experience and he left no question unanswered before it was even asked. Talk about knowing what your customer needs and addressing it before they even tell you. He’s precise, accurate, and extremely charactered.
Everyone I’ve met there has been really nice.
Corny as it’s going to sound – you feel safe here. I have since the beginning and still do some 8 years later.
So if you need an honest dentist who isn’t some cheap pseudo-replica of Steve Martin, the masochistic dentist in Little Shop Of Horrors! Come see Doctor Richard Amo, in Fullerton, CA.

Dr. Amo and his staff are amazing! I was never a fan of going to the dentist, and had a bad experience with a previous dentist upselling services and not really hearing that we were not in a position financially to go ahead with them. I found Dr. Amo through my husband and family, and am so grateful that he’s taken me in. I’m no longer afraid of the dentist. My daughters are five and seven, and they love him and his staff as well. Dr. Amo has been my dentist since I was 3 years old. He is the best of the best. He treats every single person that walks through his door like gold. He is an amazing dentist and he really loves what he does. Everyone in their office is great! Angela is usually the one that cleans my teeth and they are always PERFECT when I leave. If you go to Dr. Amo any fear you have of the dentist will dissipate and you will look forward to coming in and visiting them every six months!!!

I have been coming here for years and Dr. Amo and his wife are absolutely amazing at what they do. I really think that they are the absolute best in town! I just had some teeth filled in where I had previous cracks and my smile looks absolutely beautiful. I really have nothing but amazing things to say. A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Richard Amo graduated from the University of Davis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1975. He then went on to dental school at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California where he graduated in 1978. After graduation Dr. Amo returned to Orange County, where he was raised, to start up his dental practice in Fullerton. He served on the Board of Directors at St. Jude from 2005-2010 where he was awarded the Presidents Accommodation. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society where he served as President in 1999. He served on the medical staff for World Cup Soccer in 1994. He's a member of the Kovats Academy of General Dentistry of Prosthodontic Research, and the North Orange County Implant Study Club. He also served as a part-time clinical instructor at USC School of Dentistry for 11 years.
