I have been going to Dr Masuoka for several years now. He and his team continues to provide the highest level of excellence in service and patient care. His office is clean, well organized, and comfortable. Modern and high tech equipment. When the patient takes the chair, all the instruments are on station, ready to go. Dr Masuoka takes time out of his busy day to explain the more complex procedures and processes, providing valuable information so that I can make informed decisions about my health. Donna does my cleaning, she’s the best…I’m not one who particularly likes to visit the dentist. It’s always a good thing when you have a doctor and dentist you can really take comfort in. Dr. Masuoka is our dentist — this guy is a big-time professional – he charts your gum lines, takes interest in your dental health, and he takes the time to develop that friendly family-style relationship. That’s the kind of dentist I had as a kid and am really grateful to find one in Los Angeles as an adult. His staff is equally professional and friendly. The kind of dental office everyone hopes to find == relaxing, private, and professional. Dr. Masuoka and his team are top notch! After being referred to Dr. Masuoka, I’ve made the drive to his office in Redondo Beach no matter where I’ve lived over the last couple of decades (ie. SF Valley, SG Valley, LA…). After a prior bad experience with an unnamed local dentist which resulted in a painful root canal, I understand the value of oral health care and a good dentist. To me, excellent care from professionals I trust are well worth the extra time and effort it takes to get there. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, skilled dentist who uses best up to date technology in a clean and safe environment, make an appointment with him. You won’t regret it! Did I mention that he and his staff are also just really nice people?…always a plus!

Dr Rick has been my Dentist for the past 12 years. I have recommended him to everyone I have met. My whole family has switched to him. My mother has had extensive problems and she wouldn’t go anywhere else because he is the most gentle Dentist she has ever been to and she is now in her seventies. He doesn’t specialize in kids, but my kids love him, or maybe its because they can watch movies while he works on their teeth. I must say like the other reviewers that he is definitely up on all the latest equipment and techniques. I want to thank the person who recommended him to me, but its been so long ago I can’t remember her name, but thanks again. Thank you Dr. Rick and my teeth thank you

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Rick Masuoka for the 16 plus years we have lived in the Southbay. My teen children now go to him too and just love him. His office staff is professional, caring and easy to work with. Dr. Rick is so amazing with shots, and getting any dental work done is as painless as its ever going to be. I also love that he doesn’t ever seem to have you do procedures that possibly might be ” just watched” until your next cleaning. I like that he will “wait and see” with certain teeth until he says you need to do something. He is cost conscious and I really appreciate that about him. Dr. Rick is very friendly, warm and puts his patients at ease. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful, kind and skilled dentist!

Yes, this place has it all from the great staff to the zen-like ambiance so apparent from the moment you step in. Never mind that you can opt for smooth soundtracks or soothing films with gorillas roaming in the mist. The real clincher is Dr. Rick, a caring and very skillful dentist.

Dr. Rick is like no other dentist out there. He is mindful of the bottom line cost to the patient, he is looking at the long term effects of his care in my mouth and he is very skilled! I have jumped around from dental office to dental office because i never found a dentist i liked. I also had numerous problems and dreaded going to the dentist. Now with 2 years under his care, i totally look forward to going to the dentist. My kids also come here. They also like him and his approach to dental care. Dr. Masuoka is the best. I have been going to this office for over 10 years and my kids over 7 years. My kids are 10 and 12 years old now, they have no problem going to see Dr. Rick he does a great job of making them feel welcome. The option of watching videos during the dental work really helps with the kids. There are many dentist out there but I would say Dr. Masuoka is simply the best. If you have kids I would highly recommend this office or if you’re a big kid when it comes to seeing a dentist go see Dr. Masuoka
