I sought out Dr. Hart because she was the only holistic dentist within 60 miles of Charlottesville. I wanted to have my mercury amalgams removed by someone who knew what they were doing. I also have alpha gal allergy, so I needed to take into consideration any products that might be used in the procedure. She and her staff were so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. They helped me determine the right products for my allergy and the procedure went great. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Hart! I would highly recommend her!

Drove 75 miles for two visits to have amalgam/mercury fillings removed, and have a tooth pulled. Next visit was to replace a cracked crown, done in one afternoon. Delightful staff along with Dr Hart. Super friendly staff. I did not have to wait but about 5 minutes to fill out paperwork mainly. I had been scared because my previous dentist refused to do cleaning and said I needed gum cleaning. Surprised because they were very conversational and polite, professional gentle touch, even a tv screen above me while I looked up during the cleaning. This place goes above and beyond to restoring my faith in dentists which I sadly have been avoiding for most of my adult life. Thanks for your awesomeness!

Our whole family LOVES Richmond Family Dentistry. Biological dentistry is the best for your teeth and for the health of your whole body! The staff here is amazing, so helpful, friendly, warm and kind. Our little children love coming here for their cleanings and for myofunctional therapy. I’ve had many successful dental procedures done from fillings to multiple implants and crowns and I’ve never been nervous under Dr. Hart’s competent care. Highly recommend this place!

I traveled 3 hours to see Dr. Hart to have my amalgam fillings removed. She and her staff were incredibly helpful, made me comfortable and most of all eased my anxiety. I would choose her as my family dentist if only I lived closer. This office is professional and caring toward their patients. I came to Dr. Hart to remove a problematic root canal that was affecting my overall health. I had a few bumps in the road because I was having health issues that caused an initial rescheduling, but the staff was completely gracious and understanding. Dr. Hart is an expert in this biological field of dentistry; she performed my procedure with this expertise while also just being truly kind. I think it’s difficult to find expertise and kindness all in one place these days. The whole office is wonderful – cannot recommend them enough. And highly recommend taking out bad root canals and replacing with biological solutions.

Dr Hart has been my dentist for 3 or 4 years. I live in Lynchburg. I chose Dr Hart because she understands, allergies, chemical & metal sensitivity. She is the very best dentist I’ve ever had. I now use a mouth guard at night that takes tension off my jaws and she is treating gum issues. The equipment in her office is state of the art. The hygienist, Christine, is superb. Amanda, the receptionist is not just efficient but kind & thoughtful. Richmond Family Dentistry is worth a 2 hr drive. If I had children, I would bring them here because they are gentle, kind & excellent at dental & gum care.

Dr. Hart is just wonderful – she redid a crown for me recently (it was done years ago by another dentist). She custom made the new crown immediately after removing the old one and put it in that same day. She also removed an old amalgam filling in a quick, painless, and efficient process. She and her staff are fantastic; I can’t say enough positive things about them. Her hygienists work very deftly and gently, and her office admins are just lovely.

When the pandemic hit and all services were closed down, Dr. Hart still made herself accessible thru telehealth; I got immediate care on my dental emergency during that time and was guided well until my in-person appointment. Greetings and Happy Days to you all! I just wanted to share my experience while visiting Richmond Family Dentistry! I have some upcoming dental work that I didn’t know I needed. You know how you go in for your routine exam (and think you have a clean bill of health because you floss twice a day and brush twice a day). Nope! I was in for a pleasant surprise, my scanned revealed that I had a massive amount of bone resorption (bone loss) on one of my teeth. Had I not visited for my routine cleaning, this could have led to tons of medical expenses and infections which could have affected my adjacent teeth and my life. Although I have some minor repair ahead, I am so happy and grateful now that I will have a life to continue to live. Infections alone could lead to some really bad health, BUT Christine! She did an awesome job with my routine exam and she found the problem. After Christine consulted with Dr. Hart, it was a team effort which included everyone (Amanda, Jessica, Christine and Dr. Hart) and they all sprung into action with an affordable treatment plan for me. And now I am on my way to a brand new smile and a Happier life. I am so, so, so thankful for everything Richmond Family Dentistry has done for me, this is just one aspect of my life that I will look back on and share stories to my now 4 year old about the importance of your dental health and hygiene. Amalgam fillings have cursed me for 30 years. Recently I had been having dreams of my filled teeth falling out and resolved myself to this fate until I consulted Richmond Family Dentistry. Today, Dr. Olivia Hart helped end that suffering permanently. I was able to keep my teeth and now without the toxic metal, my teeth can heal properly. I had all the symptoms of mercury poisoning and my exam revealed evidence that my fillings were leaking. The office staff were able to schedule me in less than a month and even helped reschedule around the recent snow storm. During the procedure, I knew I was fully protected and was able to listen to Christmas music. I actually feel different now. I know that many of my various symptoms I’ve been treating for years are resolving just by this one action. At home, I took pictures of my teeth to closely examine Dr. Hart’s work and the new fillings look and feel amazing. Dr. Hart is not my Family Dentist…but I wish she was! I recently sought out Dr. Hart for removal of amalgam/mercury fillings. In my quest to find the “best” dentist for the work, I found Dr. Hart to be highly recommended by other dentists as well as within my online research. I also realized that not all dentist are created equal, qualified, or up to the challenge of safely removing mercury fillings. Not only is Dr. Hart preeminently qualified and certified by the IAOMT to safely remove mercury fillings, but she combines this with holistic, homeopathic, and cutting edge technologies that result in the absolute best experience and results. I also found Dr. Hart to be the most engaging and compassionate dentist. She is a great listener with zeal to provide you the best in dental care. Further, she is engaged in your overall supporting health and forthright in her explanation of required protocols. In the end I had 12 mercury fillings removed by Dr. Hart. Dr. Hart’s professionalism, compassion, and unique approach to dentistry extends to her staff as well. Each contributing to an overall great experience on all fronts. I lacked for nothing and am extremely pleased with the results. In fact, I was so impressed with Dr. Hart and her staff that I may have to change dentist and make my wish come true, despite the 1.5 hour drive!

I started with Richmond Family Dentistry, after the Lord led me to find a holistic dentist in October 2015. I called on Friday and had an appointment the following Tuesday for a cleaning. It was after this cleaning when I was told that every silver amalgam filling in my head was cracked and needed to be replaced. After getting those 7 replaced and getting an old crown replaced 18 months later, I am now mercury free and my autoimmune disorders are getting turned around.
