I always receive a text then phone call to follow-up. Also, Theresa is the best! The only con is the parking. It’s street parking so if you have an appointment make sure to arrive early!

Today, is the first day in months that I feel I can confidently go out to a restaurant or jump on a call without fear that the date of my dental apocalypse is approaching. We are living in the greatest time ever to be alive and can talk to people on the other side of the world, yet find time after time that medical professionals lack empathy and perspective of how it feels to be a patient, until TODAY. #iamapatient I recently moved from Houston to Denver like to so many other millennial transplants, and will be the first to say that I know I am not a perfect person with dental hygiene, and there are issues I can no longer ignore. 2 weeks ago BEFORE going to Rino Dental, I had overcome my fear of the dentist with the help of my wife and went to another dentist to give it a shot. Upon walking into the 90’s style building that I dreaded as a child, I had the dental appointment of my nightmares, there was the outdated waiting room with magazines of months past, and no view of the outside world other than a window in the distance. I walk in, the receptionist doesn’t care who I am, and just want to let me know that I am obligated to pay any bills, and insurance billing is a “complementary service”, and then I see the dental hygienist, see the dentist, and before you know it she is telling me that I (health 28 year old) have the mouth of a 50 year man with the need for potentially 2-3 crowns, a potential root canal, a deep cleaning, 5 cavities, and I honestly felt my heart sink that I was going to be forced to deal with painful dental work, and a huge financial burden. Then at 2 AM when I was agonizing over whether the pain was my jaw, gums, or in my head, I stumbled up on the website of Rino Dental and Dr. Franz. It was irony, seeing Dr. Franz riding on a bike on the same sidewalks I walk down everyday, I felt my stress and mindset shift to a sense of calm. He seemed like such a personal person, who thrives on the confidence of his patients smiling on those same streets. Meeting him, he was even more personable. I finally worked up the nerve to call the office, and the receptionist / office manager picked up and actually treated me like a person, getting me an appointment within 48 hours. “Daniel, request you records and x-rays from the other dentist, and if we can’t get them in time we will do them free of charge so we can focus on your care” Just having someone saying that was such a breath of fresh air, as I understood Rino Dental was not just dental work, but truly helping the patient overcame any fears they may have with the dentist, as well as putting together a treatment plan to help them in the short term and long term. Upon arriving, the waiting room is an art gallery that over looks downtown Denver, with a beautiful view of the mountains and all of Rino. Dr. Franz came out and met me which was refreshing, I have never had a dentist or doctor get me out of the waiting room, it is usually an assistant. The first thing he did with me was sit me down in a private room & we went my history. I was never rushed, he went through all of my x-rays, my dental history, everything, and really wanted to learn how he could help me the most. After going through my exam, Dr. Franz went over everything with me and takes the approach that he does not over recommend treatments, he only recommends treatments he feels are in the best interest of his patients. He found that I only needed one treatment ( a crown I already knew I needed) in comparison to the numerous others recommended by the other dentist, and went as far as to go through each tooth to discuss his thoughts to help give me peace of mind. Talk about a sight of relief …… I never felt rushed, and felt that I had finally found a dentist who understood what it was like to be a patient. A dentist who acknowledge the flaws in the insurance payer system & even offers a self-insured policy that should be the model for all other dentists. This place is the best! I’m someone who isn’t a fan of the dentist, but the staff all make me feel right at home. Dr. Franz is a super nice guy and really knows his stuff! The gals who work alongside him are just as knowledgeable and friendly. They don’t push unnecessary procedures on you, and they make sure you fully understand all charges before getting started. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Franz and his staff. I have had some cumbersome dental issues and have needed to be seen several times. They are prompt to schedule an appointment and flexible with my requests. Dr. Franz answered all of my questions thoroughly, made me feel comfortable and made a follow up phone call to see how I was doing. Going to the dentist is not the most appealing thing however their office is beautiful, modern, clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this practice to anyone that is looking for a new dentist. Before coming to RiNo Dental, I hadn’t gone to a dentist in years. I was afraid of the judgment I would face and the mountain of work I knew would eventually need done. My first time visiting, I showed up terrified and in agonizing pain. Dr Franz made it very apparent from the first meeting that he was going to prioritize my care, and not pass judgment for the condition I’d let me teeth get into. Fast forward two years. My oral health has substantially increased along with my quality of life. I’m no longer afraid to go to the dentist, and I can have a candid conversation with Dr Franz about the care I need, knowing full well I’m in good hands. This weekend I had the unfortunate experience of chipping one of my two front teeth during a chaotic weekend. I both emailed and called RiNo Dental, knowing they were closed, just to inquire about an emergency fix. Not expecting to reach anyone, I did not leave a voice message and figured I’d call first thing Monday morning. Not two minutes later Dr. Franz called me back and scheduled to meet me at the office shortly after. Completely above and beyond anything I had expected! He had me in and all fixed up just about an hour later and I was back to enjoying my weekend with a bright, white smile – good as new! Had not been to the dentist in a couple years. Was greeted with a smile right away by Jen before seeing Dr. Franz for a brief consultation re: my Dental/medical history. When an unexpected dental procedure was thrown my way (during COVID no less), RiNo Dental took care of me like I was family. This was my first time to RiNo Dental. I live close by and really value “shopping” locale. This is an awesome practice!! If you look at the photos, you will see that this is quite a bit different from images formed in your head when you think of the dentist. My experience here was very pleasant from the moment I walked in. I came in with sensitivity after getting a filling done at another dentistry and Jen was able to quickly get me scheduled to be seen. Dr. Franz was quickly able to determine that I needed a root canal and due to the nature of my tooth referred me to a specialist for part of the treatment. Jen ensured that the transition between offices was smooth and after the root canal I was able to quickly come back to RINO dental for my impression/crown and Dr. Franz and Shelby made the procedure rapid and painless. Everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable and ensured that I knew exactly what was happening at each stage of the treatment which put me at ease.

I hate going to the dentist, but Rino dental makes it bearable. Everyone is friendly and to the point. And they talk to you as an adult even if you don’t floss 25 times per day ;). They will walk you through the options and cost calculations before any decisions are made too. I never felt pressured to do any procedures at Rino Dental and if it is not urgent they will let you know so you can weigh that into the decison as well. The entire Rino Dental team is awesome! They truly care about their patients. My wife and son convinced me to go to the dentist last year after not seeing a dentist for many, many years. I had braces as a teen and had a serious aversion to having anything done to my teeth. My wife made them aware of my “PTSD” and they took it from there. On my initial visit Dr Franz met with me prior to any treatment to put me at ease. It worked and the procedure (cleaning) went very well. When he checked out my teeth he saw that I still had my bottom retainer from my braces. Yup, I hated going to the orthodontist so much that I had never had it taken out! He recommended to have it removed. I told him that I would return at a later date to have it removed. I actually never intended to return, it was just a way to move on from the subject. Needless to say when I told my wife she encouraged me to have it removed. So, today, after 35+ years, I had it removed! Dr Franz did not perform the procedure, Dr Ellyn Thompson did. She is new to Rino Dental and Dr Franz picked an excellent dentist to add to the practice. Her and her assistant did an amazing job and took great care to not spook me. They went above and beyond to take my aversion to all things dental into consideration. I am a bit embarrassed that I waited so long to have the retainer removed, but I am glad that it was done by this team! I highly recommend Rino Dental – even for those of us who HATE going to the dentist even more than the average person (you know who you are). Just let them know you are “dentist shy” and they will take it from there. They are so good and made me feel so comfortable that I am voluntarily going back to have my teeth whitened! 5 well deserved stars to the Rino Dental team!

I have never been so eager to write a review – having had some (really) bad experience with DT Denver dentists………. This place is amazing! From the very moment you enter, the receptionist – Jen – She is awesome – always so friendly and responsive! Dr Bryant Franz is top notch – I want to give more than 5 stars! He takes his time and is clearly very well educated and super competent (and passionate) in his field. The office is honest and upfront, at no time did I feel like I was being pressured for an upsell. They are a breath of fresh air! LOL Literally! I have 100% trust in the Dr and his staff – and I have never had that feeling with a dentist before. Bonus – You get to enjoy a pretty amazing view while you sit in the dental chair. Also I really liked and appreciated the little “gift bag”. It’s the little things that mean a lot. I can not recommend this office, staff and Doc – enough! So happy they moved into my neighborhood! P.S. They take patients with out insurance. They have a $25 a month plan you can join!!

Dr. Franz and his amazing team have been by far the most amazing, caring, and welcoming dentistry group I have ever gone to. As a child I had awful dental experiences causing fear and trauma. Thankfully here, those anxieties and fears where minimized and I was provided top care with zero-nothing pain. Dr. Franz will sit with you and break down any concerns and fears you may have as a person and a patient. His amazing team is transparent of your costs with your insurance plan. Amazing! The facility is a beautiful and a clean place. Love it! Oral hygienist Theresa cleaned my teeth and she was amazing and cheerful. Made the cleaning process fast and painless. Just yesterday I got an oral implant from an extracted molar I experienced 18 years ago. The surgeon was amazing and caring. I was reassured of the process, walked through it, and cared for and prepared for the procedure. I was given amazing and comprehensive post care and I didn’t have pain during the procedure. Reassured of the processes, I appreciated the step by step procedure (because I asked and wanted to know) and was treated with care and respect. I loved them there! I am happy I found such a great place my insurance covers. Oh and they have their insurance provider list on their website.

I love this dentist! Truly the most helpful dentist office I’ve ever been to. We went through what was bothering me, and they came up with a plan for my teeth right there. I appreciated the chat, followed by the brief inspection to determine what level of cleaning I needed… it felt thorough and personalized. I’m not usually one to write reviews, but my experience at Rino Dental has been life-changing. I called their office about 8 months ago in severe pain from what I would come to discover was a necessary root canal. It was long past their business hours when I left a message. I was contacted almost immediately by their team, and was brought in for an emergency appointment the next morning. To be honest, I hadn’t been to the dentist in many years. I was terrified. I had two failed root canals and other previous bad experiences with dental visits. That, tied in with lack of insurance and finances led me to a lot of hygienic/cosmetic issues and made my mouth my greatest insecurity. I was welcomed in this office with absolutely no judgement and nothing but compassion and empathy towards my situation. Yes, the office is very chic, pretty, and altogether relaxing – but it’s the unbelievably kind, knowledgeable, and patient team that truly makes this practice what it is. They walked me through a plan that involved a lot of work and tailored the steps of action based directly on my needs, availability, comfort, and financial situation. They helped maneuver my insurance so that I could get everything I needed without bleeding me dry. Dr. Franz provided the utmost quality care with every visit. He explained everything I needed to know and opened himself up for questions in every conversation in order to make me more comfortable. Brittney is also incredible. She’s gentle and bubbly and it’s hard not to be calm even when you’re nervous about the procedure. The office staff is also amazing, I regret that I don’t remember the name of the woman who works at the front desk.. she made all the difference. Here I am, 8 months later (give or take) with all of my serious dental work behind me. I made it through my entire plan! I never thought I would see the day where I felt this good about my teeth or visiting the dentist. I am so grateful to Rino Dental. If you’re nervous about the work you might need done, generally anxious about dentist visits, or concerned about the process – make an appointment. Even if you’re just there for a cleaning.. it couldn’t be more pleasant. They were so passionate about helping me and I know they do it for everyone who walks in their doors. Thank you Dr. Franz and Rino team for giving me the confidence to smile again.

I have been to Rino Dental 3 times in the past month. 1st for a checkup (first one in 2 years), 2nd for a cleaning/filling, and the 3rd for a wisdom tooth removal. Each time was an amazing experience and that is obviously saying something considering you are at the dentist. The staff is so friendly, engaging, and to top it off…have a great sense of humor. Which is good and bad when you are trying to laugh and keep your mouth open wide enough to get a tooth yanked. 🙂 The space is immaculate and completely the opposite of a typical medical office feel. Beautiful interior design coupled with aesthetically comfortable and cozy lighting. Complimentary tea and Perrier while you wait. The bathrooms provide female products (wink) and toothbrushes. Jen, who is usually at the front desk is a little firecracker and I always love seeing her when I visit. I found this spot based on my insurance and am so glad I did. The doctor called me the day after my fillings just to see if I was doing okay and not suffering from any discomfort or sensitivity. She even remembered the evening plans following the visit and asked me how they went. I HIGHLY recommend this place. It will change your concept of ‘going to the dentist’. Street marking also makes for easy access. Stop by the Shake Shack a few blocks away, order a delicious shake, and start working on your next cavity!
