Dr Tamaki and team are the best. Good communication between dr and assistant and patient. Been going for 15 yrs with lots of dental procedures with no problems. Dr knows his limitations. I needed a root canal and although he does root canal, mine was in need of a specialist. Dr referred the specialist who was excellent. Nice view LAX. Free parking everywhere. Or you can pay as they do have parkinf available. No parking validation. Dr is gentle and caring.

Best dentist/doctor ever!!! I’ve consulted 3 dentists for bonding and eventually decided to do it with Dr. Tamaki. Dr. is so meticulous about what’s going to be done. He really took the time to understand my concerns on top of giving professional advice. I can’t say enough good things about him. He even showed me a collection of teeth shapes! His office staff is really personal too!

Dr. Tamaki is probably the best dentist on the westside and southbay area of the LA area. He has great bedside manner, very gentle, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I do not live near his office;however, i do not mind the drive to see him. I constantly refer people to him because he is just the best. Dr. Tamaki is simply the best. I had not been to the dentist in years due to my pronounced fear of pain, which was a consistent experience with dentists I’d gone to in the past. My neighbor insisted I go to Dr. Tamaki; she promised me a pain free experience. She was right. Dr. Tamaki took care of my cracked tooth on the spot and without any pain at all. And since my negligence had resulted in a world of dental problems, I felt comfortable going back so he could take care of my many issues. He did this with amazing understanding and sensitivity, with great professional and at the same time with a personal touch and with consistent humor. I feel like Dr. Tamaki was my spirit guide through this long and emotional journey. He was always encouraging, kind, and inspiring. He made my teeth beautiful and healthy. He gave me new confidence and made me care about my dental health again. I love Dr. Tamaki. He’s the best dentist and a genuinely decent, wonderful human being.

I’m a new patient here and I have to say I’m beyond impressed. Everyone here was so kind and helpful. You can really tell they take the COVID-19 precautions seriously, taking only 1 patient at a time, taking your temperature and getting everything sterilized before you enter. My fiancé came to Dr. Tamaki to replace a chipped dental bond and he couldn’t stop raving about his positive experience. He was so happy with his new tooth, he almost cried. He even got a handwritten thank you card in the mail. 🙂 So when I needed a teeth cleaning and checkup pretty badly, I was happy I had someone great to go to! Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality dental work in a clean and respectful environment.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Tamaki for at least 15 years. Before being referred to him, I had tried dozens of other dentists with varying results from average to dismal. Dr. Tamaki was the first dentist to administer a painless shot of anesthesia to me! I had never had that experience before and after that I was convinced. Believe it or not, it is actually relaxing to have them clean my teeth. I can not recommend their services enough! Check them out for yourself.

Dr. Tamaki is a seasoned expert and all-around good guy. I’ve avoided the dentist for years but finally resigned to the fact that I needed a good cleaning. I found Dr. Tamaki through yelp, went to his website, booked an online appointment, received a call the next day and was seen the following week. No hoop jumping, no frills…an easy experience from the beginning. When I got to the office, my appointment was pre-approved, and I was back in the daunting dentist chair within 5 minutes of arrival. The office is convenient to LAX, the 405, LMU, etc. The office isn’t fancy and full of cutting-edge technology; it’s a bit old school. However, the staff are amazing. You can tell they’ve worked together for years and have a seamless process. Dr. Tamaki was kind, empathetic, and thorough. He explains every aspect of the exam and cleaning process. He takes his time, and he personally spent over an hour with me. He strikes me as the kind of dentist who has seen it all – from cavities to root canals to oral nightmares – and knows how to treat anything. He focuses on preventative care, which is great. The best part: he doesn’t recommend all kinds of irrelevant, expensive cosmetic procedures. The cost was quite reasonable. Highly recommend Dr. Tamaki and his staff.

Welcome to the office of Dr. Robert B. Tamaki. If you are interested in Cosmetic Dentistry, Precision Restorative Dentistry, Reconstructive Implant Dentistry, or just a good, sensitive, conscientious dentist, you have taken the first step towards comfortable, quality dental health. Dr. Tamaki sets himself apart from a lot of dentists as he is sensitive to each individuals personal needs. Dr. Tamaki has been in private practice since 1995. He has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Tamaki graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1985 and has also previously been a member of the faculty at the University of Southern California. Dr. Tamaki's primary area of expertise is in restorative dentistry, which includes composite or porcelain fillings, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, partials and dentures. He also is competent in cosmetic dentistry, providing procedures such as Zoom! bleaching and porcelain veneers. Dr. Tamaki also provides special services such as digital radiography (x-rays), which exposes the patient to 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays. Dr. Tamaki has state of the art dental equipment and materials and can provide most of the latest proven techniques and procedures. Dr. Tamaki is a member of the American Dental Association and attends seminars and lectures regularly. The field of Dentistry is always experiencing technological advances and we put a lot of effort to keep our office state of the art. Dr. Tamaki is interested in providing the highest quality dental care to his patients in a friendly, painless environment. We treat each patient according to his/hers individual needs, as each person is different and usually have different needs. Our office is up to code with OSHA standards, especially in sterilization techniques. Dr. Tamaki has a Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology from the California State University, Long Beach and is especially attentive to working with sterile instruments in a clean environment. We also have a separate bottled distilled water supply that is used for our handpieces when we are preparing teeth for their specific restorations. Our water lines our disinfected on a daily basis. Dr. Tamaki welcomes new patients and is ready to provide your dental needs, whether it be brightening your smile, or restoring your mouth to healthy function.
