I went in for my first appointment with Dr. Turchin and had a great experience. His receptionist was kind and the dental hygienist was amazing. She even took pictures of specific things in my mouth so that she could explain what was going on so that I could see. It was great that she took this extra step. Dr. Turchin was super friendly and respectful, I know that I am going to be in good hands when I go back in 6 months!

this is a wonderful, wonderful place -everyone here is so caring and very helpful. The dentist is incredibly kind, and very sensitive to your personal comfort. He goes over all of the details with you, and makes sure you understand everything ahead of time. He constantly checks in with you during any procedure, to make sure you are comfortable, or if you need anything. If you have to go to the dentist, this is the office to go to. Although I wish I didn’t have to go to the dentist, Dr. Turchin is the best dentist I have ever met. I am never going anywhere else. highest recommendation.

When Dr. Turchin asked me to write a review.  I had to take a moment.   Once I thought about it.  I have been a patient of his since my college days, and that was in the 1990’s.  Most young professionals and college kids are interested in paying rent, traveling, dating, making money, and having fun, than for root canals, and I was one of those people.  I just happen to work at an office right next door to Dr. Turchin’s office, and out of common courtesy, Kim (his assistant) would come by the office and asked to use the copier.  Never thinking anything of it,  by accident, I broke my back tooth when coming to work.  The first thought that come to mind was; “Let’s ask the office next door to fit me in for a quick appointment.”  They were courteous and professional and scheduled an appointment.  Once basic cleanings were done, Dr. Turchin notice other issues with my dental care beyond the broken tooth.  He created a “dental plan” which completely surprised me.  I was just looking for a quick fix.  He was so thorough that he created a “dental plan” that would last for two years.  It involved a group of dentist (hence the name associates), who realigned my teeth (braces), stabilized by teeth (dental implants and crowns) and improve my dental health.   Once the two years were up, I began to think, my dental health is a key part of being healthy.  When you are young, you just think that eating right, doing yoga and weights and drinking water will lead to a great life.  I never thought about my teeth. I never thought about a smile.  Dr. Turchin and his staff has continually strived toward dental health and preserving the teeth.    Now that I have been a consistent patient for over 20 years, I see that I made the correct choice by having him as my dentist.  He has always worked with me in making sure I understand his advice.  The staff is always friendly and helpful.  And I believe in loyalty, so by sticking with Dr. Turchin, and not even hesitating to find another doctor,  I can say that I have the best dentist.

Not just compared to other dentists and dental offices, but compared to all medical professionals and medical offices, I’d say Dr. Turchin and company are the best I’ve ever worked with. The staff is always pleasant and skilled, even first thing in the morning (I’m looking at you, Nina!). We walk through plans and procedures together in tremendous detail and Dr. Turchin is very patient — not just with me, but with the procedures (in my case, an unexpected three rounds of invisalign trays)! It results in high quality care. From the moment we started, it has felt like we were working together. It’s not about “bedside manner”: it’s about his exceptional ability to tailor his expertise to my needs as a patient. I’m moving across the country on Monday…but I’ll be back to Philly soon, and when I am I’ll have an appointment set up.

I am a happy patient of Dr. Turchin for over 20 years and I cannot recommend him enough. He is compassionate, professional and, overall, just a great guy. His staff is caring, professional and cheerful. I started seeing him as I was living and working in center city at that time, but I have since moved to NJ and even though I no longer work in Philly, I still make the trip to see him as he is worth it!

My family has  been going to Dr Turchin for over 20 years. That says it all. Can’t say enough great things about him. He is extremely competent and caring. He is gentle, thorough and patient. We have sent many family, friends and co- workers to his practice and they are all blown away! All say it is the best treatment, office, staff they have encountered. Recently a few people I recommended to him told me that he calls the night before their appointment to introduce himself and go over any concerns. As far as emergencies go Dr Turchin leaves his cell # on his answering machine. Needless to say he is available to his patients 24/7/365! We all love him, his office and staff! Dr Turchin please never retire!

Dr. Turchin has done several crowns for me over the past 20 years. Each crown is an amazing work of fine art – impressively beautiful and trompe l’oeil (you have to look so close to pick out which tooth is a crown and which is a tooth). His work has impressed dentists in Ireland and Finland (so that makes it an international work of fine art) where I had my teeth cleaned years ago while studying in those countries. I have never had discomfort will Dr. Turchin’s crowns and the ones he did 20 years ago are still in perfect condition. I am always so happy after my dentist visits.

I just had my first dental visit post Covid 19. The office takes your safety seriously. From the front desk to the walk out with the hygientist, the office has updated itself to ensure that I, the patient, is safe. I have been a patient for over 5 years, I highly recommend the office and the staff. My former hygientist retired, the new person I have had for the past year is superior. I’ve recently become a new patient of Dr. Turchin and while nobody likes going to the dentist I must admit that he and the staff in his office quickly make you feel at ease. Dr. Turchin comes highly recommended, and now that I’ve experienced it for myself I can see why, clean office, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and he’s the kind of doctor that takes the time to listen to your questions and concerns.

Cannot speak highly enough of Dr Turchin and his office. I had a dental emergency this weekend and had to book a rushed appointment. I did not have a set dentist in the city and chose Dr. Turchin and am so glad I did. They were incredibly accommodating and communicated clearly about the procedure I would need to have done. I highly recommend this dentist if you’re looking. I now have a fixed tooth and a permanent dentist in Philly.

So diligent and accommodating. Respond extremely quick for emergencies. Any issue is handled with the utmost care and professionalism. I always feel welcomed by staff and never burdensome for asking questions. Overall, I feel like I can really trust the medical advice and care I’m being provided with in his office. Would absolutely recommend.

Everyone was awesome. Ease of checkin (partly because of the checkin process online); the call prior to get some info by Ciera (I think was her name); the woman (forgot her name) who physically checked me in when I got there; the assistant (clearly I’m horrible with names) who set me up and took my X-rays and didn’t judge me for being away from dental checkups for so long; Dr Turchin was awesome – explained everything, went over his history and caused no pain; finally the check out process was quick and easy and I set up my next two appointments. Dr. Turchin is a thoughtful and honest dentist who has taken very good care of my teeth for years. He goes above and beyond what I expect. He always answers all of my questions and explains everything to me very clearly. He also stays on top of the latest and greatest in dentistry and dental technology. The hygienists and staff are all skilled, friendly and kind. It is always a pleasure to go to the dentist when going to this practice!

Dr. Turchin (Philadelphia) and his team are wonderful.  I am extremely nervous and Dr. Turchin is very patient.  I have two really outstanding memories of my dentist. 1)  I had a front tooth come out on a Sunday.  I called and he and his wife happened to be in town for an outing. Asked me how quickly I could get to the office and they met me there within a half hour.  I got to meet his lovely wife.  The second incident was I needed a special root canal.  He ordered a specialist to perform in his office and stayed with me while the procedure was being done.  Incredible chair side manner.  Now, I coxed my nervous hubby to see Dr. T and he agrees he is great.  I definitely recommend to my friend and coworkers.

Dr. Turchin and his staff provided excellent dental care for me and my husband for 5 years before we moved away. They did a great job with routine cleaning and some more complicated stuff. Dr. Turchin has outstanding skills and sets high standards for his staff. A crown he did for me was far more comfortable and durable than the one I had previously. He’s open one Saturday per month, which was very convenient.

Dr. Turchin and his staff are fantastic and they offer the best dental care you could ask for. I found Dr. Turchin while I was an employee in the same building as his office. I needed some emergency dental care and they were able to fit me in right away. I continued to be a patient for many years and eventually my husband starting seeing him as well. We were both satisfied each time we visited.

Dr Turchin and Staff are very professional, informative and make you feel at home. NO pain! My treatments have been wonderful! Dr Turchin very, knowledgeable and skillful and what he does. Dr Turchin and his Staff CARE about what is best for you! NO PRESSURE. I love this office!!!

Excellent ability to explain what is going on during the checkup. I did get the fluoride varnish upsell but my insurance paid for it, so why not? I saw some blurb about him practicing tooth conserving dentistry and it is true. It seems that the last thing he wants to do is give you unnecessary treatment. I visited because my usual dentist (who I’ve been seeing for almost 10 years) was not available when I needed to go, but I was very impressed with Dr. Turchin’s practice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Turchin for over 20 years and I cannot be happier with him and his staff. Dr. Turchin is a caring dentist and his staff are caring and professional, and always cheerful! I chose Dr. Turchin as at the time I chose his practice I lived and worked in center city Phildadelphia; I have since moved to New Jersey and no longer work in Philadelphia yet I continue to see him-he is worth it! My dental health is excellent and I owe it to Dr. Turchin and his staff.

Doctor Turchin has been my dentist since 1983… since shortly after he graduated from dental school. Over these past 29 years, he’s done an excellent job of keeping my teeth and gums healthy and happy. I’m a very particular person when it comes to any kind of professional service I’m paying for… be it a doctor, a plumber, a carpenter, or a dentist. Ever since was a little girl, I hated going to the dentist. The instruments were loud and scary, and I pretty much always had a cavity (thanks for the horrible genes, Dad!) As you might imagine, I wasn’t thrilled or quick to find a new dentist closer to where I lived and worked. I’m not sure how I came about Dr. Turchin, but I am very glad I did. Within a day of making my appointment, I received a call from an unknown number. I didn’t answer, but when I listened to the voice mail, I was shocked (in a good way). It was Dr. Turchin – he personally called me to welcome me to his practice, and basically said he was looking forward to working with me to maintain my dental health. Can you say great customer service?! The staff members are really nice and efficient. You can tell they really know their stuff – they give you all kinds of tips on how to brush, floss, etc., which don’t seem to be complicated tasks, but a lot of people do these things in the wrong way and compromise their teeth/gums. The office uses all kinds of tech-y stuff, it’s pretty wild. They email reminders, send texts about appointments, they have an ipad for signing in and most recently, they used this little camera thing-y to take pictures of my teeth. It looked like a toothbrush with a light on the end of it. I could see the pictures right after they were taken and I saw areas of my mouth that I’ve literally never seen before. Hands down – I recommend Dr. Turchin. Just make an appointment with him, and you’ll get it!

Dr. Turchin is amazing. I’ve been under his care since 2005. He came highly recommended to me by a co-worker, and I’ve been highly recommending his practice to friends ever since. Everyone on his staff is incredibly friendly, from the book keeper, to the receptionist, to the hygienists. Once I had a bad toothache and called Dr. Turchin’s office on a Sunday evening and left a message with the office, hoping to get an appointment that week. Dr. Turchin called me from his home within 5 minutes and got me an appointment the following morning. He really cares about all of his patients and providing the best possible care for them.

After my husband and I moved to Philly a few years back we were referred to Dr. Turchin for Dentistry services and have been so pleased with our decision. The customer service sets the bar very, very high for any other health care practice. From the personal follow ups, hand written thank you notes, and pro-active reach outs when a timeslot opens up, it is by far the best service we have ever gotten at a Dentistry practice.
