Like many people, I’d had some bad experience with dentists.  But when my daughters started asking me why they had to go to a dentist and I didn’t, I knew it was time to start looking again.  A co-worker had repeatedly told me how wonderful Dr. Montaser is, so I figured I’d given her a try.  I’m so glad I did. That was over two years ago, and I couldn’t be happier!  Part of my fear of going to a dentist was how many years it had been since I had last seen a dentist.  Previous dentists have given me a hard time for my lapses, which only makes going back that much harder!  Dr. Montaser just made a note of it, and we moved on to fix all of the problems that time and lack of care had caused.  No guilt trip, just suggestions for better care for the future.  I really appreciate that. The other hurdle for me was discomfort.  My previous dentist had given me a hard time when I got uncomfortable to the point where I couldn’t keep my fillings dry enough while they were setting/etc/etc.  One of the best things about Dr. Montaser is that she always seems aware of my comfort level – without me having to say anything (I admit, I’m one that tries to tough it out more often than she should!).  Breaks seem to come right when I need them!  I’ve had a number of fillings replaced, and several crowns, and while those procedures are never exactly comfortable, she’s made them as comfortable as she can.  And I really appreciate that! Everything else is just icing on the cake.  I’m always seen in promptly, even when I’m early.  She has worked to make the most of my annual limit on my insurance.  She will often recommend trying a less intensive (and expensive) option (which has always worked) before going to something bigger.   Despite the length of this review, I’m sure there’s something that I’ve missed.  But long story short, I cannot recommend Dr. Montaser highly enough!

Dr. Montaser is amazing. I have been going to her for over 5 years now with my wife and 4 year old daughter. I have always had horrible teeth, so I have seen a lot of dentists. Most of them bad, some of them good, but she has been the best.  I am relatively easy and somehow am not a dental phobe despite my teeth mostly being root-canaled, crowned, filled and veneered. Dr. Montaser has replaced a couple crown, several veneers, and done lots of cleanings and I have not had any pain with any of them. She performs magic with Novocain.  She is always conservative in her approach and does not recommend unnecessary expensive treatments.  The first veneer she had to replace as it was knocked out with an oar, but the last one she simply cleaned up and cemented back in.  I know several of my ex-dentists who would have charged a fortune to make a new one. My wife does have a horrible fear of dentists. She would barely go in for cleanings and would almost have a panic attack every time she did.  She loves Dr. Montaser and actually goes in for 4 cleanings a year now and even got a filling without panicking or pain. Another point in Dr. Montaser’s favor, I only need to go in twice a year for cleanings, were every other dentist always claimed I needed 4.  She recommended a few things to help with my gums and margins and I have not had any new dental problems since I have started seeing her, just repairs on old work. Lastly, she is great with our daughter.  Dr. Montaser has been seeing our daughter since she got teeth and eased her in slowly.  She let our daughter sit on our laps while we got cleanings to show that it is nothing to be afraid of.  Now at 4 years old she will go back and get a cleaning and exam without any fuss.  It made it much easier when she got a tooth knocked out at school (apparently she takes after me). My wife called and took her to Dr. Montaser right from pre-school.  Because she was already comfortable with Dr. Montaser, there was no fuss as she checked her out and made sure there was no damage to the jaw or other teeth.
