I first went to Dr. Sheldon about 20 years ago on a recommendation. I liked him immediately. I found him to be personably professional, genuinely caring and wanted to fix my teeth and send me on my way. I’ve also learned over the years that he’s a true perfectionist with a patient-first attitude. I’ve tried other dentists closer to home but they don’t match the quality of work Dr. Sheldon can deliver…everything from cleaning, crowning and yanking! He’s worth the drive and time for me. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMMENDED!!

If your dentist happens to be Dr. Ross Shelden, your teeth are in excellent hands. I first met Dr. Shelden when his office was located in Studio City (that’s over 20 years ago). I now live in Santa Clarita and would gladly travel much farther to get his exemplary care. To top it all off, he is patient, honest, respectful, genuinely interested in people and their concerns. Dr. Shelden & his staff are the absolute best! I make the drive from the westside and it’s well worth it. I’ve never looked forward to coming to a dentist until I found this office through a friend’s referral. Dr. Shelden takes time explaining what’s going on and is very thorough. He genuinely cares. His Dental Hygienist is very gentle and does a complete cleaning without pain. Sandra up front is very kind and always answers emails and calls in a timely manner. They all make you feel welcome and comfortable every time. Parking is as easy as it gets, or there are plenty of meters around.

Dr. Shelden is THE BEST I didn’t have a regular dentist anymore. I was referred to him by a friend. I cracked my wisdom tooth. It HURT…BAD. His office got me in right away. Basically no wait in his waiting room. He saw the exact issue immediately. We decided to pull it out. I was a bit worried…but let me say I felt NO PAIN or discomfort whatsoever ! The actual extraction took 1-2 minutes. It was so fast. Dr. Sheldon is an excellent doctor. What I love the most is that he does not push you to have work done. He and the entire staff are wonderfully warm and caring. In fact, I had a bad slip and fall, and my face slammed into a wall. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was released five hours later. I was very concerned about my teeth because they hurt and I had a big gash in my mouth. So as soon as I walked out the hospital door I called Dr Sheldon and asked if could fit me in. He said Come in immediately! I’ve never heard that from a dentist’s office; usually you have to get an appointment. So, thank you Dr. Sheldon!

I can honestly and enthusiastically say that I’ve never had a dentist quite like Dr. Sheldon. I first began visiting his office as a child, and twenty years later, he’s earned my loyalty as a patient. He’s incredibly charismatic and puts you at ease, and is quick and efficient in his treatments. His charisma, to be honest, that’s probably one of the best assets as a dentist. He knows what he’s doing, he knows that you probably want to get out of there as soon as possible. So he’s quick, he’s efficient, and oh look he just cracked a joke so hey you just forgot he’s about to drill a hole in your tooth. I’ve been to several other offices out of necessity, and honestly, never again. I’ve had basic cleaning and dental work botched to the point that I couldn’t open my mouth without being in intense pain for weeks, and for the two decades I’ve been visiting Dr. Sheldon, this has never happened to me, even in more rigorous procedures. I’m in the process of having two wisdom teeth being pulled out (one after the other. It’s fun.) And I wouldn’t ever, ever trust my care to anyone but him. So, if you’re looking for a dentist who can make you feel comfortable, is speedy, and is trustworthy, I would say to look no further. You’ll always feel welcome in his office, and the drill is just a bit less scary in his hands.

Dr. Sheldon has been our dentist for close to 30 years and I would never switch! His work is impeccable for both dental health and anything cosmetic -both of which I have needed in the past. He really gets to know his patients and keeps a close watch on your needs. Several years ago I broke the front of a tooth and, in a panic called him. He stayed well past his Saturday office hours in order to beautifully repair my tooth. This is a friendly, easy going office headed by a dentist who obviously takes great pride in doing beautiful work. .

Dr. Sheldon was recommended to me by a coworker to fix a broken tooth. I got a quote from another dentist who wanted to do a crowning for $1,300 but Dr. Sheldon was able to fix my tooth for $399 with a much less invasive procedure to repair by tooth. Fortunately I was referred to Dr shelden by a friend for a consultation on my front teeth and a broken crown. I wanted porcelain veneers because the bonding was old, Well not only did Dr shelden do a BEAUTIFUL job on my front teeth he also replaced some old leaking silver fillings with white fillings, His staff is AMAZING!! And after a couple of ho-hum experiences I made the commitment to return to Sheldon despite traffic and distance. If oral hygiene and dental health is important, he’s worth it. Dr Shelden need SIX stars! When the bonding fell off my chipped front teeth for the 4th time, my usual dentist referred me to a specialist for a veneer. My sister and I have been coming to Dr. Shelden’s office for years. Personally, I am not a fan of the Dentist ( as many people aren’t ), but Dr. Shelden and his team make me feel comfortable. I am very timely on my check ups (hypochondriac), so I am always getting my teeth cleaned and getting my yearly exams. I have never had to get a serious procedure like a Root Canal or anything crazy done, THANK GOD! I do come to Dr. Shelden for my teeth whitening though. I like to have a bright smile, and he does a great job. I wouldn’t go to any other cosmetic dentist in the area for these services. His Hygienist pampers me and very patiently & politely puts up with my making her job much harder. On two occasions Dr. Sheldon rebuilt my broken molars like an artist. There was no pain. Having lived in a number of different places in this great country of ours, I can definitely say that Ross Shelden DDS does exceptional work; but in an ironic twist, it was another dentist who probably gave him the best compliment. I was in L.A., for work when a filling fell out and I found the good doctor by sheer happenstance. He did such a good job that my regular dentist could not find the original cavity months later. My dentist expressed his admiration at the quality of work, saying that it was some of the best work he had ever seen. After moving down to Los Angeles on a more permanent basis, I of course have entrusted the care of my pearly whites for the last 15 years to Ross and have never regretted it! My entire family now enjoys the first class and homey service his entire staff gives you on every visit. As far as I’m concerned I would gladly give him more than 5 stars If I could!

Update to my review. As previously stated I was recommended to Dr. Sheldon and I’m so happy about it. He’s ethical and fair and in my opinion, a perfectionist. His appointments start on time, no waiting around because he’s trying to work on multiple patients. The staff are informative and kind. After completing some deep cleaning and a crown Dr. Sheldon did some cosmetic work repairing an old chipped tooth and filling in a gap in my two front teeth. I had another dentist tell me the only fix was very expensive veneers. Dr. Sheldon said he could do the job for a fraction of the price and using the less evasive filler. I couldn’t be more happy with the work, he’s an artist.

Been looking for a new dentist and after a few bad attempts I finally found a good one. A friend referred me and I couldn’t of been happier. He has all the new Technology. Dr. Ross C Shelden DDS was born and raised in Los Angeles. He graduated Harvard Westlake High School in 1978. He attended UCSD and UOP. Dr Shelden received his DDS from UOP School of Dentistry in 1985. Following his graduation from dental school, he then served 4 years as a dentist in the United States Air Force. Dr. Shelden received advanced training in cosmetic dentistry with an emphasis on ultra conservative dentistry. This included porcelain veneers, porcelain inlays and onlays, and non-metallic dental restorations. In addition to the foregoing, Dr. Shelden also offers and performs different types of dental whitening as well as dental implants. Dr. Shelden only treats one patient at a time. Several dental options will be offered following the initial examination. In addition to the other dental services available, Dr. Shelden employs a well qualified dental Hygentist. Saturday appointments are available and validated parking is provided.
