I’ll preface this review by stating that I consulted with more than 7 highly reputable orthodontists in the San Fernando Valley before ultimately selecting Dr. Roth. In my opinion, Dr. Roth is the best orthodontist in the San Fernando Valley, if not the greater Los Angeles area, when all aspects of orthodontic treatment are considered. He has vast knowledge, terrific interpersonal skills, proficient orthodontic assistants, and a very relaxed office environment. Dr. Roth is also a very friendly, jovial, and kindhearted person, and really brightens the mood in the office. When selecting an orthodontist, it’s also very important to consider the orthodontist’s personality, as you will be seeing him or her for quite some time. I’m the type of person who will research extensively before I make a significant investment. In writing this review, I hope to save you time by simply referring you to Dr. Roth for any type of orthodontic treatment, because I am one of few individuals who consulted with many highly-regarded orthodontists in the area and found Dr. Roth to be the best among his colleagues. I was referred to Dr. Roth by a close friend after I interviewed many orthodontists, but felt uncomfortable with much of them for a variety of reasons. In fact, one orthodontist dismissed me by informing me my class 3 malocclusion (under bite) would require invasive and expensive jaw surgery, which turned me off to say the least. Shortly after, I met Dr. Roth and he was not only surprised by the aforementioned doctor’s opinion, but he also told me he was confident he could transform my bite into a great smile. This experience taught me that it is exceedingly important to perform due diligence when selecting a doctor for any type of medical treatment. Not all doctors are the same by virtue of their academic qualifications; some like Dr. Roth are ahead significantly. Dr. Roth embraces contemporary technology in his practice, which I appreciate greatly. In particular, Dr. Roth’s use of the Damon system braces makes treatment considerably easier than conventional braces. Among my peers, I was the last to get braces. My friends were continually shocked whenever I told them that Dr. Roth’s adjustments did not cause pain – I consider this a testament to the technology of the braces as well as Dr. Roth’s tremendous skill as an orthodontist. As Dr. Roth mentioned the first time I met him, anybody not using Damon braces, or a variation of it (self-ligating braces is the official term) is really behind the game because such braces offer too many benefits for the patients (less frequent appointments, relatively little to no pain, easier to clean, smaller brackets, no need for individual rubber around each individual bracket, etc.). In my opinion, any orthodontist who does not utilize self-ligating braces like Damon should be eliminated from consideration by patients, because the benefits are simply too great. Additionally, despite using these advanced braces, Dr. Roth’s prices are more than fair. In fact, among all the orthodontists I consulted with before selecting Dr. Roth, he was the second most cost-effective. Much to my surprise, several other orthodontists in the area wanted to charge me an astronomical amount of money for my treatment (and they were not even using the advanced and more expensive Damon braces like Dr. Roth does). Furthermore, unlike many orthodontists in the area who similarly embrace Damon braces, Dr. Roth will not upcharge you $500+ for selecting clear brackets in lieu of metal brackets (or a combination of both). In other words, Dr. Roth will not punish you for being a little self-conscious about your braces. Dr. Roth’s attention to detail is pristine, and he really takes the time to ensure that your needs are met. He is not only very attentive in the office, but he’s also the same way after hours. I found myself emailing Dr. Roth a few times regarding my treatment, and he always responded promptly. Even more, Dr. Roth was more than receptive in answering my plenty questions in the office, and would often delve into the fine details of my treatment. Also, Dr. Roth continues to learn as an orthodontist by keeping up with the new, conventional methods. In my view, it is crucial that doctors continue their education while practicing because the general field of medicine is always evolving. Not to mention, some of Dr. Roth’s work has been published in esteemed medical journals that are peer reviewed. Put differently, Dr. Roth is the real deal. I cannot recommend Dr. Roth enough for your orthodontic needs. Although my consultations with many orthodontists delayed my treatment by a few months, I would not change anything if given the opportunity. I am so happy that I waited until I found Dr. Roth, because he is outstanding in every respect as an orthodontist. Indeed, I have no reservations in my belief that Dr. Roth is within the top 5% of his field.

Your search for the best orthodontist in the San Fernando Valley and Thousand Oaks area is over. You have found the best in Dr. Roth… I have been to 3 orthodontists in my life. Once when I was a kid – Jerome Fine in Encino. This was a long time ago. He is no longer in business and I’m not sure if he is still alive. This was in the Dinosaur Age or orthodontics, which included headgear and neck gear. It was awful. During office visits he actually used a hammer on my mouth and said “easy” or “hard” to his assistant. as he hammered away. Easy felt hard, so you can imagine how hard felt. Anyway, I liked him and no one knew any better at that time. Now I am a dad and have a 15 year old son who desperately needed braces. We went to a place in Encino. While the office was very nice, the level of care and expertise were bad. It took us a year to realize that and then we had them remove the braces and we never went back. You really have to be very careful. Don’t let a nice office and slick sales fool you. At the recommendation of a good friend, we finally found the greatest orthodontist with Dr. Roth! He is the best and that was clear in every way from the beginning. I work in Agoura Hills but live in West Hills so we had our choice of offices. His staff makes you feel right at home … he explained the treatment plan and had some great options for us to choose from … and his staff is friendly and professional. It also helped that there were payment plans that made this possible for us during difficult times. Dr. Roth offers more than you would expect from an orthodontist – our decision was made by the warmth, kindness, confidence, experience, expertise, and care that Dr. Roth brings to both adults and children who want to have a better smile and the confidence that comes with it. We noticed a huge difference in our son’s teeth within only 4 months. A dramatic difference. Thank you Dr. Roth!!

I have been seeing Dr. Roth since 8 grade, I am now 25 years old. I got my braces done with him then and was SO happy with the result. Since then my wisdom teeth came out and I wasn’t the best with my retainers and just returned to see him again this past June. I just finished my 7 tray Invisalign program with Dr. Roth today and let me tell you, my teeth look AMAZING. the entire process was so easy and comforting with his team and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Dr. Roth and his team are professional, warm, and SO GOOD at their jobs. They always make sure you are happy, comfortable, and loving your smile. Thank you to Dr. Roth and his team for allowing me to achieve my dream smile and bringing my confidence back. I couldn’t recommend them enough!!

Thank you, Dr. Roth and his staff.  I went for a free consultation in May 2016 and he listened to me and answered all the questions I had.  He was so patient and kind.  However, I couldn’t make up my mind and I left the office. The reason why I couldn’t go for it at the moment as I thought I was too old to have braces.  In September 2016 I decided to talk to Dr. Roth and asked several questions again.  He took the time to answer my questions patiently and told me, someone, who is 80-year-old got braces.  As long as you have healthy gum it’s fine to get braces.  My first appointment was mid-October 2016.  And it took only one year and seven months.  In May 2018 No more braces and I wore the retainer for the first three months 24/7 except meal time.  Now I guess I only need to wear when I go to bed?  I still wear the invisiline retainer as much as possible to be safe. I have an appointment with Dr. Roth on September 13th and I’ll ask him how many hours/day I need to wear the retainer.  Anyway I’m so happy I got braces and glad I chose Dr.Roth.  He is very knowledgeable and his staff is wonderful.  If you’re considering getting braces, but couldn’t decide because of your age, please go for it.  I’m so glad I did.  You will too

Dr. Roth was recommended to our family years ago. It was truly one of the best recommendations we could have gotten.  One of my kids had major problems with his teeth but between the guidance and expertise of Dr. Roth his teeth turned out beautiful.  One of my son’s friends had the same problem with his teeth.  He went to another Ortho and they treated the problem differently. After years of braces and issues, they ended up at Dr. Roth’s office to fix the problems from the first Ortho.  The atmosphere in the office is very relaxed and comfortable and all the staff is friendly and accommodating.  We couldn’t be happier.

I highly recommend Dr Roth for adult braces. He was knowledgeable about the different considerations of moving adult teeth and was as a professional very effective.  On a personal level he and his team were friendly and helpful and we’re accommodating to an adult lifestyle (work schedules). The recommendation came from my wife and her sister who saw him in their teens, and later went back for additional adult work given their work with him. Our dentist Jospeh Deutremont has also worked with and vouches for him, so my decision to see Roth was easy, and well rewarded.

Dr Roth is a genius with smiles! Couldn’t be happier with the professionalism, care and kindness from Dr Roth and his team. My daughter came in with a crooked and narrow smile and left in 1.5 years with absolutely beautiful teeth and she can’t stop smiling, probably never will! A perfect smile, just in time for high school. Thank you Dr Roth!

Dr. Roth is the most Kind, Gentle, Caring, Professional, Honest, Thoughtful, Helpful & Considerate Orthodontist around. I am so happy with Dr. Roth and his staff. I have 3 daughters, all who have had/have braces with Dr. Roth. We area so happy with him. Just a week ago, my youngest daughter needed braces, although they look so very cute on her, she was having a hard time, due to sever anxiety that unfortunately she suffers from. Well I want the world to know, that I called the office, spoke to them about what was happening and immediately I felt like they really cared so much about her. Dr. Roth went above and beyond making sure she was happy and comfortable. I was getting emails thorough the night and early morning, checking on my daughter (meant so much). The following day, we went in and Dr. Roth made a slight adjustment, which made a world of difference. When we arrived, he and his staff treated my daughter with so much love and compassion, she was so anxious and nervous and they made her feel so comfortable, so special and important. I have continued to get e-mails checking in on my daughter, which each time I see an email, it truly makes me want to cry! In such a busy crazy world that we live in, not many people would take time out of their day to just “check in”. I have to say, Dr. Roth is one of a kind, he truly cares about his patients. I have been to both offices many times, I like both very much and I love that so many of the people that work there, have been with him a very long (some over 20 years), that says a lot about Dr.Roth and his office. Thank you to Dr. Roth and his amazing staff for being so thoughtful and for making my daughter’s teeth gorgeous!

Best experience ever.  I got my Invisaligns here. Dr. Roth is so kind.  And the staff are all friendly. We did one set of Invisaligns and all was done, and I was pretty happy with it, but Dr. Roth insisted we do another set (for free) to make it even better?!  He goes above an beyond.  He said I’m welcome to come back anytime for check ups regarding my retainers.

Dr. Roth is the best.  He took care of both of my children. Their teeth look amazing.  I also appreciate that they have an easy process for payment.  He was extremely knowledgeable and professional yet he interacted wonderfully with my children.  My daughter had some complicated issues with her teeth and he made that process seamless.

Dr. Roth and his staff are friendly and welcoming. They talked me through all the steps of the procedure and answered any questions I had. I felt the staff was knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable during the entire appointment. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

You search for the ideal orthodontist is over 🙂  We were lucky enough to find the best orthodontist any family could hope for – Dr. Roth. We originally took our 13-year-old son to a different orthodontist (someone who advertised all over Los Angeles) … and were very unhappy. We wasted a year there, not knowing any better. Don’t be fooled by an orthodontist with fancy ads and slick promises. We were very thorough and careful in our search for another orthodontist. We didn’t want to make the same mistake. Our research brought us to Dr. Roth (he has offices in West Hills and Agoura Hills). Dr. Roth is not only extraordinarily skilled (treating kids and adults), but he is caring, warm and personable. You immediately like him – and trust him. He not only makes sense when he explains treatment and the progress to you, but he listens to you too. He is friendly, respectful, and likable. But most of all – he does a great job! He is unique with his treatment methods too. I think he is the only orthodontist who uses the Damon System. There’s nothing like it and we couldn’t be more satisfied. Our son is a happy camper and looking great. When it comes to orthodontic work – we found a home with Dr. Roth.

Dr. Roth is kind, patient and an artist. My son has the same mouth/problems that I did as a child but his experience and result far exceeds what was accomplished for me, albeit 30 years ago. The office and orthodontic assistants are easy to deal with and show the same professionalism as Dr. Roth. We have been coming here for over 5 years and I don’t have one criticism or complaint. I only have compliments and gratitude for my son’s manageable and yes, even pleasant, experience and his teeth are and bite are now perfection!

I am a musician, and years of spending hours a day playing the saxophone had wreaked havoc on my previously straightened teeth. When I got a gig that was going to require me to play several shows a week for two years, I needed to do something to correct my teeth before I ruined my embouchure. Dr. Roth set up a course of treatment for me using Invisalign with attachments and rubber bands. It worked out great, and I was able to perform while wearing the Invisalign retainers, which provided instant relief from the discomfort I was experiencing. Dr. Roth and his staff were excellent, as well as being very accommodating of my difficult touring schedule by planning checkups around the times that I would be in town and tailoring the course of treatment to ensure I would be able to maintain my progress through the various stages of alignment while I was on the road. The work Dr. Roth did for me has made a huge impact on my everyday life by allowing me to do my job without pain or discomfort. Thank you, Dr. Roth!

I am a general dentist and chose Dr. Roth to treat my son’s very difficult orthodontic problem because I have seen Dr. Roth’s beautiful results for many years and knew that he could take excellent care of my son Drake. My son is not the easiest patient, but Dr. Roth managed to find a way to motivate him and remained very positive throughout the treatment. The staff is also very kind and treated us like family. Drake is very happy with his teeth now, and has a new found confidence with his beautiful smile. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Roth and his staff!!

We can’t say enough about Dr. Roth’s practice and staff. They have been terrific to work with – our oldest just completed her work and to say having your first child go through braces is a more complex experience than what most parents realize. They were considerate of her feelings and concerns – it demonstrated their experience and expertise – and have been fantastic to work with from start to finish.

Dr. Roth and his staff treated both of my children for their orthodontia care. I highly recommend this team on every level if you are looking for an orthodontist.   We always felt welcome by the staff and under the best  of care with Dr. Roth.  He was so knowledgeable on how to handle my daughters orthodontia which required special treatment.  He was great at communicating the process, what to expect and the outcome.  Both of my children have the most gorgeous smiles thanks to Dr. Roth!!
