I’ve gone to Dr. Roy for regular cleaning and to get cavities filled. Each time I’ve been to the office I’ve had an outstanding experience. The receptionists at the front desk are friendly and welcoming, and Dr. Roy is excellent. She takes the time to explain what she’s doing and gives recommendations for teeth care and maintenance. I had a lot of questions around my cavity procedures, and she patiently and comprehensively answered all of them. The cleaning and procedures were painless. They also answered all of my questions around insurance and co-pay, and laid out my out-of-pocket costs clearly.

I really like Paramita Roy. She does two things that I like that I think a lot of medical professionals don’t do. She will spend the time to explain to you what she plans to do and what are the pluses and minuses of different procedures in a very respectful way, and treat you with compassion. I have been very frustrated with other medical professionals in the past that don’t show me any respect or are unwilling to treat me like an educated individual capable of understanding what they are going to do. This is not the case with Dr. Roy. When I needed a new crown she spent a lot of time describing the different types of materials the crowns could be made from and what are the advantages and disadvantages of each (strength of the material, longevity, price, etc). In addition to this, she showed a lot of compassion for the pain of the procedure and spoke about how the reason she went into dentistry was because she herself needed a lot of dental work growing up. I honestly deeply appreciated this as it made me feel like I was in good hands who cared about me while doing the procedure. Because of this I’d highly recommend her and plan to keep her as my dentist as long as I’m in the area.

I love how Dr. Roy really involves patients in deciding treatment options and when to execute them! I absolutely loved the hygienist I had for my cleaning this time—Nicole!
