I’ve been going to Dr. Cannon for forever, and every time he has helped me with all of my teeth issues and then some! I hadn’t gone in two years and was super anxious, but after my first visit back I felt comfortable and he’s helped me even when I needed a root canal after he helped me with a cracked tooth. Excellent service. Funny hygienist and they have free water and coffee. There is also free cookies for when you are done. You can watch a variety of shows as well during your appointment on a mounted tv. Very comfortable seats and I am confident in the skill displayed by the dentistry staff.

New (returning) Twin Citian and needed a dentist – this office was very convenient to where I work and presently live. So, I took a chance, based on the high convenience factor. I was not disappointed. Fabulous cleaning – the best I have had in years (no exaggeration). Staff was pleasant, professional, and delightful to deal with (though not sure they understood my sense of humor when I entertained myself laughing at some of the new patient questions – not a criticism of them – my sense of humor is a wee bit quirky). Now, if only those cookies came gluten-free…

Dr. Cannon and his staff are great. I have been a patient of his since he purchased the practice from Dr. Schneider. He has always treated my family and I like his own. I booked a cleaning after not having seen a dentist for a few years and to say the least I was a bit nervous, but the staff was super friendly. Ashley, I think, was the name of the hygienist that cleaned my teeth, was wonderful. I’ve never had a cleaning done so gently! I was expecting a horror movie in my mouth. Blood and bone fragments everywhere. But nope, she was great. I was in and out quickly. When dr. Cannon stopped in to check me out he was more than kind. Sure he tried talking a bit much while his hands were in my mouth, but Ashley didn’t so I guess it evens out. Another big plus if you’ve never been is the gift they give you for being a first timer, from gift cards to whitening trays. Good stuff, 5 stars.

I’ve been a customer of Dr. Cannon’s for over 20 years. My wife and two boys go to him also. He and his staff are exceptionally skilled. I’ve had two root canals and at least 6 crowns and my teeth feel great. (I grind my teeth, which wrecks havoc on my teeth). Dr. Cannon’s office is easy to get to in St. Paul and parking is free. I highly recommend him.

My family including my husband and two sons have been patients of Dr. Cannon’s for 30+ years. We have always been impressed with all the staff from the first friendly greeting by the receptionist to the excellent care from the hygienists and Dr. Cannon. I had a problem a few years ago with the start of gum disease and with aggressive treatment and education by my hygienist Deanne and Dr. Cannon the problem has completely resolved. Our kids never feared the dentist like some children because the staff treated them like a long lost friend who they were genuinely excited to see and interested in their lives. Neither son had a cavity growing up thanks to their excellent dental care. I also like the many ways the practice continues to use state of the art techniques and provide a really warm, inviting office. Friday I lost my entire crown (my fault – hot tamales!) and Dr Cannon took my call after hours. He helped me with a temporary solution to get me thru the wknd and personally made sure I got in today (Monday) for proper correction. He’s been my dentist for almost 25 years now. And not once in all that time has he failed to meet or exceed my expectations when it comes to my dental needs. More than once too, he has seen me on the spur of the moment when I had dental emergencies that could not wait. Today was the latest example; a crown fell off and I looked like Alfred E. Newman from Mad Magazine. Not good when I was scheduled to make a speech in front of a big audience a few hours later. But he got me into a chair in his office at the start of the day, without an appointment. He glued the crown back in and off I went. Dr. Cannon also understands the fine balance between chronic dental pain and treating it with pain meds, especially for people like me who need to be real careful about such things. So don’t hesitate to share your own vulnerabilities if you need pain meds; he gets it.

I have been going to Dr. Cannon since 1992–25 years, now–and have never regretted my choice. Dr. Cannon and his staff are thorough, accommodating, and both personable and absolutely professional. I have had several sorts of procedure, including fillings, root canal and crowns, and all have served me well. I just finished a root canal at Dr. Cannon’s office last week. It took two visits. I had been told by friends and co-workers how painful root canals are. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Cannon for more than 10 years, ever since my sister recommended him to me. Since then, I’ve referred many friends and colleagues, as well as my husband. Dr. Cannon and his staff are the best. Every hygienist I’ve had in this office has been friendly, professional, and thorough. Dr. Cannon is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. He asks about my family, job, and overall health at each appointment before and after I had children, and at appointments during my pregnancies. He goes out of his way to make me and my children feel welcome and comfortable in his office. My children are 4 years old and almost 2 years old and they love going to the dentist. He is gentle during the children’s examinations, and the hygienists are very interactive with the kids. When my then 3 year old had his first cavity, I was more nervous about having it filled than my kid! Dr. Cannon put me and my husband’s anxiety to rest. My son was able to sit on my lap during the procedure, which needed no novocaine! The whole thing took about 5 minutes – no kidding. My son was happy, and all he said was, “it tickled!” My husband, who needs more cavity and dental work than I, can attest to all those experiences being great. I generally have great teeth health and have never been pushed to have extraneous procedures done. I’ve never had trouble making or re-scheduling an appointment. They can make one long appointment to fit me and my two kids in, or examine us at the same time with concurrent appointments, if I choose. The waiting room time is minimal, though my kids like paying with the waiting room toys. Here are some extra “perks” I love: In addition to the standard free toothbrush and floss, my kids get helium balloons, and like using the free “gumball machine” by the reception desk to get stickers and small toys. I enjoy the Caribou coffee from the Keurig in the waiting room and last time, there were fresh baked cookies! Many of Dr. Cannon’s customers seem to be employees of the nearby companies in the St. Paul skyway system, but I highly recommend him as a family dentist to adults and people with children. Parking in the connected ramp downtown is easy and validated. It’s also a bonus that Dr. Cannon was recently named president of the MN Dental Association. I cannot say enough good things about this office.

Fantastic dentist conveniently located in the skyway in downtown St Paul. Staff is always friendly and courteous. Had to have a filing replaced and I always hate getting the shot, but Dr Cannon was so good it was painless. And they usually have chocolate chip cookies so you can leave with a treat. Would highly recommend him to anyone.

Complete and total recommendation for Dr. Cannon. I think we’ve been clients for twenty years. We both worked nearby and tried many other dentists around the cities and downtown St. Paul, including a disaster just down the street. (Lesson learned — don’t select your dentist based on incentives.) Once we visited Dr. Cannon and the folks that work with him, we wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else. I am really leery of dentists and have issues that make dental work difficult, but the hygienists and doctor are great, gentle, patient and kind with me, and give no guilt trips. We’ve had many cleanings, some fillings and several crowns over the years. Their work has always been good. You don’t need an incentive to choose this dentist. See all of the awards listed on their website–Dr. Cannon is a professional’s professional. The office is lovely with great big windows. I park in the Securian ramp and they reimburse it, but the office is also less than four blocks off the Green line and there are places outside to lock your bike. They are a class act.
