Could not have been happier! Coworker recommended them to me, and it’s the best dental experience (not a high bar but still) I’ve ever had. They did my full checkup, and even brought up suggestions on brushing better and what kinds of brushes to avoid. I had a few niggling issues addressed, and I got the sense they really were invested in improving my teeth. Glad I found them, I’m as much towards looking forward to my next appointment as one can be when it comes to dentist visits!

Excellent communication, genuine care, thorough follow up and professionalism from the entire staff – I highly recommend Saltwater Dental. Dr. Jensen extensively explained issues and options in clear terms to help me choose a treatment plan – which ultimately ended in a crown for a lower molar. When I got to the office for the procedure he warned me the shots notoriously pinch in this area but, with his expert touch, I didn’t feel a thing! Best numbing I have experienced yet.

Full disclosure – I get anxious at the dentist. Dr. Jensen and his colleagues help to ease my anxiety. Dr. Jensen takes the time to listen to my concerns, as well as talk with me about what it is we’re doing and why. He and his colleagues are kind and patient – and they do a wonderful job. They are also great with kids. My daughters feel safe and happy each time they get their teeth cleaned. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Jensen enough!

The new dentist, Dillon Jenson, is the best dentist I’ve had in my entire life. First, every dental procedure has turned out excellently, including teeth cleanings, cavity fillings, fluoride treatments, etc. He and his office are clearly technically excellent at dentistry. After every visit, he calls me that evening to be sure everything is going well for me, my wife, or my kids. He made enough of an impression on my 10 year old that when his last baby tooth started to wiggle, he wanted to call our dentist to let him know. He’s unbelievably kind and considerate, to the point that if you’d rather not have your dentist actually care about you, you’d best find someone else. Although I only recall ever seeing him at the dentist office (he says he saw me somewhere else, but I don’t recall seeing him at the event), I sincerely wish him well, which is not something I’d say about all of my past dentists.

Saltwater Dental has been one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had! It’s a beautiful location and very clean. Dr. Jensen is very personable and is extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain to me what was going on with my teeth and walk me through everything they were doing during the exam. One of my crowns from my previous dentist had popped off and Dr. Jensen met me at his office WHILE THEY WERE CLOSED to treat me and assess the situation. Very empathetic. These folks listen without judgement and as a result hold the space in a manner i did not expect of a medical provider. As the hygenist was scaling my teeth i could hear the doctor working with a frightened youngster. His voice was very calm and soothing and he used reverse psychology, addressing the little girl as doctor. I was in an adjacent space and could only hear this. I found myself smiling even though the dental hygenist was in my mouth and i was feeling a mild sting. Wow i dont remember it being this easy and i hadnt seen a dentist since 94. It is never as bad as my head tells me its going to be. Very soothing folx! Bravo

I had just moved to Utah earlier in the year and I had not found a new dentist yet, when I suddenly needed a repair on my front tooth. Dr.Jensen’s office got me in quickly and did a great job at a really reasonable cost. Everyone was very friendly and I really appreciated their philosophy of customer service which included explaining everything throughout and I even received a follow up call from Dr.Jensen that evening to make sure everything was okay. Dr. Jensen and his staff were outstanding. They were both professional and loving with me and my child. Dr. Jensen worked like magic as he came down to my child’s level and helped distract him with his interests, while he worked on his teeth. Had an excellent experience! Got to my appointment 10 minutes early and they immediately took me back. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes here. All the staff is super friendly. Both hygienist and doctor took the time to get to know a little about me. Loved Dr. Jensen. He was very thorough and walked me through every single thing that he was doing, and educated me about my teeth. When he heard I hadn’t eaten any lunch yet, he went into the back and brought me out a snack. I felt like I was a top priority the entire time I was there. Absolutely the best dentist appointment I have ever had. It was my first time going to this office and from start to finish it was a dream. Within a minute of giving my forms to the receptionist I was taken back by the dental assistant. She was so friendly and kind and did a great job prepping me for the hygienist (x-rays, brief cleaning, floss, etc). As soon as she finished the hygienist came in. I hadn’t been to the dentist in over three years because life got so busy. I was very nervous about cavities and pockets (and being judged), but the hygienist was so sweet and understanding. She gave me the best cleaning I’ve ever received in my life. Literally, THE BEST CLEANING I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. She was so thorough and kept checking my teeth /gums/permanent retainer to make sure she had gotten everything. I had one deep pocket in the back with build up and she spent forever working on it and even numbed me up so it wouldn’t hurt (so considerate!). As soon as she finished, Dr. Jensen walked in (I didn’t even have a chance to look at my missed messages, it was so fast). Dr. Jensen was so kind and thorough. He talked me through my x-rays and explained so many things (e.g. if a cavity has only gone through part of the enamel and hasn’t yet reached the dentin you can remineralize it just by using fluoride mouthwash and practicing good dental hygiene). So instead of filling all my tiny cavities and charging me for it, he encouraged me to rinse every day with a good mouthwash and we’d check back in 6 months. I also have a baby and he does free mini “check-ups” with babies under 18 months/2 years to get them used to going to the dentist! I’m so excited to bring my daughter here! They never asked me for a review, I am just so impressed with them and want to spread the word! I’ve been to easily a half dozen different dentists and I’ve always received a similar level of care. This office provided an experience that was on a whole other level. The receptionist, hygienist, dental assistant, and dentist were all phenomenal. This office is well managed and well staffed. As long as I live in Salt Lake Valley, I’m never going to another dentist. This place is that good.

Went in for a routine cleaning. Office has a nice view, I could see the copper mines in the distance while sitting up in the dental chair. They are right off Parleys freeway exit next to Walmart. Staff was friendly and the hygienist did a super job cleaning my teeth. Dr Jensen, went through a detailed overview of my x rays and answered all my questions. I thought this was cool, he said he is available 24/7 for any emergencies me or my family have with our dental care. What could have easily been a terrible trip to the dentist ended up being the most comfortable appointment I’ve ever had. Dr. Jenson and his staff are doing things right. The office staff were very kind and extremely helpful with scheduling and the handling of my insurance (or lack thereof). They made everything so easy for me. Jenson and his assistant were very gentle and efficient with their work. His shots of anesthesia were painless and on point. He walked me through everything he was doing and even sketched out a few drawings to help me understand what was going on. This guy is skilled and very professional. Dr. Dillon Jensen is a great dentist. I really appreciate his combo of knowledge and caring. He was great to explain every aspect of my care, and give me options. We have taken each of our children here too (even our toddler) – and Dr. Jensen was GREAT with them too. Everyone who works here was knowledgeable and friendly, and my kids loved choosing a small toy, and were especially proud to get a ‘NO CAVITIES’ sticker. When you go – you will have to notice the beautiful oil paintings throughout the office. I complimented them, and found out that Dr. Jensen painted them – his undergraduate major was fine art. So turns out it is a great place for a dental visit and a mini-museum stroll too.
A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Dillon Jensen is a proud lifelong Salt Lake resident. He met his wife, Olivia, in the second grade. They waited until college to marry. Dillon obtained a Bachelor degree in oil painting from the University of Utah. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California. His emphasis while in Los Angeles was on cosmetic cases. Dr. Jensen was brought back home to Salt Lake to further his dental education through the University of Utah’s General Practice Residency. During the residency he furthered his skillset in varying categories such as implant placement and restoration, wisdom tooth extraction, and some minor oral surgeries. Dr. Jensen has practiced at Saltwater Dental since that time. Dr. Jensen enjoys all that Utah’s great outdoors has to offer. He is an avid snow and water skier. He still enjoys oil painting and decorates the office with his works of art. He lives in Millcreek with his wife and their four children.
