Excellent dentist who evokes a very personable and professorial demeanor. Dr. Sal is friendly and explains his work in detail. He also spends the time to explain patient responsibilities and dental hygiene in a very educational format. His office is very caring, and front office staffer Esther also serves as dental assistant. What is unique is that it is a small, personalized experience. Dr. Sal’s office is self-contained and feels like a community dentist from a small town. He does all his own work, including cleanings. Positives: Dr. Sal has a great foundation of knowledge with his stellar educational background. He also dedicates himself to helping others: In his office I saw a placard of recognition for his charity work in underserved communities helping provide access to dental work. He has a great deal of experience from which to draw. I’m giving Dr. Sal a 5 because that’s how good he really is. That doesn’t mean there aren’t considerations, though. You may want to consider whether you’d like to go to a smaller, traditional office, like his, or to a larger, busier office with the latest technologies. Technologies are great, but they certainly don’t have an upper hand to skill, as I learned through experiences, sadly. With a bigger office one may also encounter very well trained dental hygienists who offer their own benefits with a different perspective. You may also just simply pay more in one of the newer offices. All-in-all Dr. Pimentel’s office provides a great balance between service, skill and patient comfort. Thanks Dr. Sal.

Got referred to Dr. Sal by a coworker, and have been going to Dr. Sal for 6 to 7 years. From fillings to veneers to regular cleanings, I am very satisfied with Dr. Sal! I have referred friends to Dr. Sal and they are also very satisfied. Prices for services are very reasonable, compared to other dentists I’ve had in the past. Dr. Sal’s assistant and secretary, Esther, is just as nice and welcoming as Dr. Sal!

I like going to this office.  The service is top-notch.  The office is on the smaller side so you receive very personalized care.  Dr. Sal does all procedures himself and he explains everything that he is doing.  The office is very punctual and in return, they ask for your timeliness as well.  Appointments can be tough to get, especially at year’s end. Bonus: office is open on Saturdays!  If you are looking for an excellent dentist and staff, you must consider Dr. Sal!

Dr. Sal is fantastic! I’m very paranoid about my teeth due to bad genetics and have had my share of bad dental experiences. Have been going to Dr. Sal now for years, with a break in the middle when I had an HMO policy that covered dental care–turns out, it was a terrible experience! Not only did the in-network dentist try to upsell a ton of procedures I did not need, it also ended up costing more with all the fees! Overall, Dr. Sal is incredibly patient on explaining all procedures and costs and Esther is a sweetheart. I love that the office is small and they really take their time with the patients. Highly recommended.

I’ve had the same family Doctor for over 20 years and the same tax professional and optometrist for 10 years so I don’t think I’m necessarily the problem when it comes to Dentists. I’ve gone to 4 different dentists over the last few years and my experiences have varied from barely acceptable to awful. Most of my displeasure has not been with the actual dentistry but the “used car salesman” feel of the up charging and office management. There was only 1 yelp review for Dr. Pimentel and it was positive. With the combination of my company insurance being accepted and the location nearby I gave him a try and I am so very happy that I did. It is a very small office with a family feel and only 2 work stations. Dr. Pimentel does the cleaning and prep himself and is very friendly and professional. Ester both runs the office and assists with procedures and she is delightful as well. He explains everything that he observes and what he is doing and how much longer it will take. He is also extremely alert to what may be uncomfortable and makes every effort to correct. He is an educator at heart and gives the background and variables on each situation and goes out of his way to be anything but pushy. I have a lot of dental work that needs attention and had a fear of both pain and embarrassment with concern for the costs but not anymore. He has explained what he thinks is important and what can wait with respect for my schedule and expense. My only concern about this writing is that he may become so busy that I will have to make my appointments further in the future. Howard H
