I have been visiting Dr. Lee for several years now, and can honestly say he’s the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I recently changed careers and no longer have insurance, but am pleased to just find out that the out of pocket cost for a cleaning here is totally reasonable, and am actually looking forward to booking an appointment! How often does one actually find oneself excited about the prospect of going to the dentist??? Keep up the great work, Dr. Lee!

The BEST dentist in D.C! I’ve always backed the motto – dentists are thieves and I lump them in with mechanics, lawyers, and salespeople. Dr. Lee proved me wrong and the only dentist that I can truly trust. He’s thorough, witty, and quick! You’ll be in and out in 20 minutes. I’ve been here 5 times – never had any dental work done. Dr. Lee never recommends any unnecessary dental work. Like other reviewers, he explains to me what he’s doing. I’ve never been so excited to go to the dentist – I don’t even mind taking the time off. Appointments are easy to get and there is no wait.

My wife and I found him on Yelp a few years ago and are very happy with his services. Super nice, and definitely does not do any treatments unless absolutely necessary. We are sad to be leaving this area soon because we had a dentist we could trust to do the right thing, which unfortunately in this day and age, is a rare thing to see. We’ve seen him mainly for the usual cleanings, occasional fillings, and even a much needed crown for dental implants and have been really happy with all of his work. Also in general just a very personable and nice guy. This is the dentist everyone wishes they could have in their own neighborhood. Thanks for the great care!

Today was my first visit to Dr. Lee he is amazing!! I hate, hate the dentist and forced myself to go cause I’d still like to hang onto a few of these teeth and not be looking at my teeth in a jar lol!! He cleaned my teeth and was not full of doom and gloom as to my treatment plan!! He has a very down to earth manner and puts one totally at ease!! Did a great job on cleaning my teeth by the way!! Made an appointment for two weeks from now, almost looking forward to it!! If you’re skittish where the dentist is concerned he’s your guy!!

Dr. Lee will change the way you think about dentists. He is calm, comforting, and open to talking you through the procedures. He and I were trading jokes about flossing within the first 5 minutes. My appointment was in the middle of my work day and Dr. Lee had my x-rays, evaluation, and cleaning finished in 30 minutes (if that). You even get a fun gift bag with floss, mouth wash, and a tooth brush at the end. I never thought I’d say this but I’m actually looking forward to my next check up in 6 months. Can’t recommend Dr. Lee enough! He’s awesome.

I was so tempted to leave one star just so that he wouldn’t become overly popular and overly busy. But the truth is, he is one of the best in his field. Gentle dentistry, super duper efficient, and above all, honest and realistic. He is also very receptive to the concerns and needs of the patient. The only thing that could make him a 6 star, off the charts is he didn’t hand out any freebie samples…though to be fair, I didn’t ask for them either.

I can’t believe I am writing a review of a dentist but I just need to say how impressed I am with Dr. Lee.  Never in my life have I enjoyed going to the dentist, but with Dr. Lee it’s quick and painless. I know I can trust him not to make up things to do to my teeth just for the insurance money (that’s a real thing in DC!).

All the reviews are true, Dr. Lee is amazing! Hands down the best dentist I’ve had in DC. I am a very nervous dental patient and Dr. Lee was gentle, understanding, funny, and quick. Unlike my previous dentists, he recommended a more conservative procedure and didn’t try to sell me on anything unnecessary. His staff is great and efficient as well. They squeezed me in last minute. They all work in sync and it was a good experience.

I swear to God I’m not being paid money to write this review, but hands down, Dr. Lee is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. He’s really nice, professional, listens to my concerns, is super gentle during the cleanings (yes, he does his own cleanings), and injects Novocaine like nobody’s business. On my last check-up, he noticed that a filling he had done previously was degrading, so he told me to come back and he’d re-do the whole thing for free. And the weekend I had all my wisdom teeth removed (Labor Day weekend, no less), he texted me to see how I was doing. Seriously.

Excellent dental care, Dr Lee is the dentist to go to. Friendly office. Have had extensive dental work the past 5 years, reasonable fees as I do not have dental insurance. Dr Lee is personable, takes his time, explains everything. He does it all, even the cleanings . The office is close to the Van Ness metro station and also the Connecticut Avenue bus stops right at the door.

Dr. Lee is an awesome dentist & he truly does have an excellent bedside manner. He is very gentle with his work and is generally just a pleasant person to be around. The other staff members are very courteous and friendly as well. I’ve had some dental problems in the past, so I used to be extremely anxious about going to the dentist. But after a few visits with Dr. Lee, I gained a new confidence about my dental health and taking care of my teeth. I ALMOST looked forward to my regular visits. Dr. Lee taught me that it’s pretty simple to keep your mouth healthy & that going to the dentist doesn’t have to be a traumatic experience. When I found out I was moving away about a year ago, Dr. Lee was honestly one of the first things I thought about. How will ever find another dentist like this?!? Well, so far, I haven’t. But thanks to Dr. Lee, I don’t have a panic attack every time I have to get my teeth cleaned and that means a lot. When I make it back to DC, he will be on my short list of people to call. Thank you Dr. Lee, you really are the best!

Dr Samuel Lee is an excellent practitioner and dental educator, friendly, energetic, and highly skilled are just a few of his many fine qualities. Dr Lee has a true passion for Implant Dentistry and a burning desire to share his knowledge with his peers and students. Samuel Lee is a smart, charming and talented dentist. I had to have a filling replaced, and I was looking for a new dentist. He and his terrific office manager fit me into the schedule and I had a terrific experience. The dental tech was really good as well. I’ve found a great dentist in DC. I highly recommend him.

This dentist is magnificent! Professionally he is an expert: he quickly evaluates and then provides honest, excellent repairs to your teeth and at reasonable price. Personally, I like him very much also and only wish he had been my dentist earlier. I cannot rate him higher or I would. He deserves all 5 stars and more!!! Furthermore, his staff is great also, which is unusual. You will be quite happy with what he does, the cost and the way it looks.

I first went to Dr. Lee after another dentist in DC tried to scam me (literally would not even tell me if I had any cavities until I bought an electric toothbrush from him and scheduled some special, expensive deep cleaning). Dr. Lee was the exact opposite experience. Kind, honest and extremely professional. I’ll never go anywhere else.

I had a great experience at this dentist’s office. It was easy to schedule an appointment over the phone (they were able to see me within that same week) and took my insurance. Everyone I interacted with, from scheduling to my actual visit, were friendly and professional. And, even though I showed up a bit early for my appointment, I only had to wait a few minutes to be seen. Dr. Lee is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and performed my cleaning himself (which is a first for me – usually it’s a hygienist doing the work with only a quick breeze-through from the dentist). Overall, it was quick and painless. I’ll definitely be back at this office in six months for my next cleaning.

I never EVER right reviews, but I have got to hand it to Dr. Lee, he is the best of the best! I hadn’t seen a dentist in over two years, and he made my visit quick and efficient. Not only that, but he is the nicest man you’ll ever meet. So kind and professional, including his staff! Everyone in the office was so welcoming with my first visit (I was incredibly nervous as Dentists aren’t my favorite). I walked out actually wanting to come back? How weird is that! I had my first filling (ever) today, and he made sure I was comfortable and fully aware of everything that was going on. Guys, GO TO DR. LEE. I might never leave DC because I doubt I’d find a place as amazing as this. Thank you!!!

I have never used so many exclamation points to describe a dentist but Dr. Lee deserves all of them!!!! He’s friendly and funny, he works gently, and he tends to narrate what he’s doing which is very comforting to always know what’s going on. He cleans your teeth himself rather than outsourcing it to a hygienist. Also, his laptop screensaver is like a hundred photos of his cats so you know he’s good people.

Dr. Lee is great! I, like many people, am not a big fan of the dentist. The first time I went to visit him, it had been a few years since I had last been to the dentist, and I was very nervous. Dr. Lee immediately put me at ease. Dr. Lee is the one who cleans your teeth, and he is very thorough. He is seriously the best dentist I have been to. In fact, the whole office is great!

Dr. Lee is my favorite dentist I’ve ever had. I hadn’t been to the dentist for awhile and wasn’t too excited about going, so I called and made an appointment with (who I thought was) Dr. D, based on recommendations from my friend. I am so glad I somehow got scheduled with Dr. Lee! Dr. Lee is a great dentist. He is very friendly, hilarious, good at his job, and very careful/gentle. He is very encouraging and understands that some people are a little skittish about going to the dentist! Any time any of my friends needs a dentist, I immediately say “Dr. Samuel Lee!” I have three friends who see him and love him. I really can’t say enough good things. If you want a great dentist, see Dr. Lee. I actually LIKE going to the dentist now! And yes, I am a real person! 🙂

Dr. Lee is not only a great practitioner, but also has a wonderfully kind and pleasant manner that makes it enjoyable to come here.  Moreover, he’s terrific about follow-up (the first time I came in with a particularly painful condition, he called a few days later to make sure I was okay) and has also fit me in twice when I needed urgent treatment but didn’t have an appointment.  Really amazing care.

The best dentist I have ever been to. Seriously. I’m that impressed. I had some tooth pain so they scheduled me in early: x-rays were connected to a laptop, meaning they developed instantly! He immediately saw my problem and scheduled me for some work. I showed up later and he removed two old fillings and put in two new ones. The Novocain injection was barely painful, and his work was precise and quick. One of the biggest chunks of time was spend finessing the filling: me biting down on some color paper so that he could see if it was too tall or whatever. He would then take off thin layer by layer until it lay perfect. Dr. Lee’s bedside manner is excellent. He’s very friendly and explains each step of the procedure as he goes along. The office is clean, comfortable, and the receptionist is nice and outgoing. Beyond that, the office is actually located in a house on Connecticut Ave, so it lacks that cold, sterile feeling that most dental offices have. There’s a television in the actual room so you can watch that while he works, and the equipment is obviously new and very modern. I can’t recommend Dr. Lee enough. NOTE: He’s still new at this location so the outside of the office only has the names of the other dentists, Davoudian and Hack. I don’t know when they’ll change that, but don’t be fooled if you don’t see his name outside.

Dr. Lee is absolutely great!  He is efficient, personable, and honest.  He replaced an old filling for me and told me I didn’t need a crown but that another filling would do.  I was so grateful because he could have easily just put in a crown!  He also found a small filling on another tooth that had fallen out that I wasn’t aware of (and my old dentist did not inform me of).  I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Samuel Lee is a very through, A extremely talented and dedicated surgeon. This office knows how to deliver high quality implant supported prostheses. Whether your in need of a single tooth veneer or crown or a more complex dental problem. In my personal opinion IADI is an excellent team, is the place for you and Dr. Samuel Lee is amazing man. I can recommend really highly highly.
