Thanks to yelpers I found Dr. Subramanian I was looking for a specialist and I found the skills I was searching for at her command. She is an excellent clinician- professional, informative, and the most gentle dentist I’ve ever been to. When she worked on me I didn’t even have to go to my “happy place” in my head like I often have to with other dentists. And the crown on my post-implant is so perfect that I couldn’t stop looking at it all day (nor could I stop myself from showing it to unwitting bystanders!) Her staff is also superb.

Dr. Subramanian is the most sweet, dedicated, humble professional dentist I have ever visited. Back in September, 2017, I went for the discoloration of my teeth. She decided to do the calcium deposit treatments to remove the calcium spots on my teeth rather than do a high expensive veneer’s. I am so thankful for her, it was suppose to take 12 weeks, 5 min treatments once a week and it only took 7 weeks with missed appointments because of holidays and I’m looking good. Yes, she have a small staff, but my wait time is never long. I’ll be back, she has many ideas to restore your own natural teeth’s. Sharonda

Dr. S and her staff are phenomenal. I’ve seen Dr. Subramanian countless times over a 3+ year period and she’s always been very helpful, gentle, patient, and informative. Her warm, professional demeanor is also apparent in the strong relationships she has with colleagues in the building, sometimes consulting with them so her patients get the strongest care and best aesthetic results possible. She has a sound knowledge of her field and an exacting attention to detail so cosmetically, you’re in excellent hands. I had a long, exhausting journey with my dental care and Dr. S was supportive and with me every step of the way. I cannot thank her enough.

I met Dr. Subramanian about 3 years ago completely by chance. I truly believe I was fated to end up in her chair as I had always had a very bad history with past dentists. I had missing teeth that were removed in my youth because of overcrowding. For twenty years, I explored options for replacements including partials and bridges…been in braces twice and wore retainers with built in temporaries. Dr. Subramanian corrected some of my previous assumptions on implants and we took a journey together to correct a couple of very visible and embarrassing spaces. Dr. Subramanian is very gentle, detail oriented (a perfectionist), and knowledgeable prosthodontist who gave me a beautiful smile after I underwent implant surgery. No one can tell which teeth they see behind the smile were created in a lab. After 20 years, I have finally been liberated of all daytime retainers and temporary fixtures and I highly recommend the work she does for complex dental work.

I chose Dr. Subramanian about a year back, after spending a lot of time checking several other dentists. I had several complications – needed crowns, and an implant. I am happy to have selected her. She is very professional and skilled, and the work she had done, turned out to be very good. She has followed up consistently and has made sure that I was happy with the dental work. One of the reasons I went to her is that she has advanced training in prosthodontics. So, if you need any complicated dental work, I would recommend her. She also has a pleasantoffice and a very courteous and efficient staff.

I’ve been going to Dr. Subramanian for almost 5 years now. Almost the entire time I’ve been living in SF. I was referred to her by a friend of mine and am so happy I made the switch. She and the staff are always very warm and welcoming. Her technique is gentle and pain free. Its usually an in-and-out experience which is as best as you can expect for a trip to the dentist.

While consumately professional, she is also approachable whenever I have specific questions, and takes care to explain her points in detail. Dr. Subramanian consistently impressed me with her holistic concern for my overall health as opposed to just the teeth.. Her dental exam included both a detailed check the gums and even the lymph nodes (to ensure swelling doesn’t indicate an infection). Each step of this process, she carefully describes what she is checking for, and provides preventative tips on how to care for my oral health.

Her receptionist and assistant were both very friendly and informative. The doctor herself was as well. She gave me the exact kind of service I prefer which is direct, but not demanding or judgmental. She showed my my x-rays and walked me through exactly what she saw and what her recommendations were. It was easy to understand and her recommendations made sense to me, so I followed them. I had a deep cleaning done, which is not really a fun procedure, but she had a Netflix screen set up to pleasantly distract me, and her and her assistant kept checking on me to make sure the pain was minimal. The receptionist set me up with another appointment to follow-up and it was all very easy to be on my way. I found my new dentist!

Going to a new dentist is always a nerve wracking experience but I was recommended to Subramanian’s office by a friend so I figured that was the safest bet. I’m glad I came. She was super friendly and kind – which goes a long way when you’re talking about scary things like whether you have cavities and if those wisdom teeth need to come out finally. If you’re new to the city or just looking for a new dentist I totally recommend her!

Hi Everyone who needs a dentist..I found Dr. Subramanian by chance, I went to her for a second opinion after my previous dentist did a screw up job on my crown..long story short he cut into the wrong crown..idiot! Well needless to say Dr. Subramanian will do great dentistry work, expecially if you need a tooth implant which she had performed on me. She excels in pain control and has gentle hands. She will take the time to explain the procedure to you. i`ve been around the block with dentists and i know a good dentist when they work on me. There is a lot of dentists that are mediocur in their skill level and if you go with Dr Subramanian you won`t be dissappointed with her. One last thing i would like to convey in this msg. Dr. Subramanian`s dental assistances are top notch people, I hope this msg. help.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Subramanian for about 3 years now. Our love affair began with OnSiteDental. I was a little cautious at first about having dental work done in the remote regions of a parking lot, in an RV. Not only did I have nothing to worry about, but my experience was great! Dr. Subramanian is incredibly charming, has a great sense of humor, and is very skilled and knowledgeable in her field. Never have I had so much fun during what could otherwise be a stressful experience. She took care of what must have been about 16 cavities of varying degrees. No pain, no complications. At all. I love her Dental Assistant Christine, too! She’s fierce. If I didn’t live in the City, I’d still drive just for the experience and professional care.

I’ve been to many dentists over the years, and Dr. Subramanian is really one of the best out there. She is very friendly and incredibly professional, and very good at making sure that whatever work needs to be done is as painless as possible. The office is also very technologically advanced, with digital x-rays and other online records. It not only makes your check-up more efficient and quick, but is pretty cool too!

They are doing an amazing job to keep us safe during the COVID-19 pandemic: 30 mins between each patient for cleaning, temperature check and health assessment once you arrive, and they also installed new air conditioning systems to reduce the risk of potential virus transmission. Most businesses, even larger ones, should take example. I came the first day they re-opened for a routine appointment (for my Invisalign treatment) and felt very safe, so I decided to schedule another one for my annual cleaning. Everything went very well, I would highly recommend to anyone still nervous about the idea of going to the dentist while the virus is still spreading, to schedule an appointment here.

Went in with an emergency just hours before a flight out of town. While in the chair I was informed that my insurance actually would not be covering anything due to a quirk in my plan. Still, the good doctor offered to take an xray of the area and provide a consultation for $150 which was absolutely wonderful for me as I needed peace of mind that I could eat as normal on my vacation. It turned out to be a filling that popped out and nothing more. While examining me she ground down and buffed a sharp portion of my filling recess, free of charge, so I could enjoy when it came to eating over the weekend. In my time in her office I was in a hurry and a bit worried about my dental situation. Her staff was more than helpful, calmed my nerves, and were very, very friendly. The doctor was such a sweet person and put my needs before herself. I plan on reaching out to my insurance company to see if there is some way we can make it work out so that I can become a patient of hers. Full marks!!!

I have now completed extensive dental work under Dr. Subramanian’s care (veneers and crown), and thus I can confidently review and comment on her work. My opinion of her and her work remains the same. In short, I am extremely pleased with the experience and I recommend her highly. I have found her to be an exceptionally capable, patient and professional doctor. She worked with a delicate and light touch that made my visits to her a comfortable and stress-free experience. The quality of her work is outstanding. Her professional manner is efficient and practiced, yet she goes about her work always with a relaxed and pleasant sense of humor. Her gentle laughter is genuine and her personality is highly optimistic. This calmed me and removed the fear that one normally gets when going to the dentist. In fact, I have never had such an easy experience at a dentist. She expressed a very high degree of concern for my comfort and the progress of the dental work. And most importantly my teeth look great!

Until now, never in my life did I have a dentist I LOOKED FORWARD to seeing! :o) While consummately professional, she is also extremely kind and caring. Dr Subramanian is super nice, she really loves keeping teeth healthy… it’s kind of weird in my opinion, but I guess that means she definitely chose the right profession. She and Dina are incredibly friendly and really care about you and that your smile is as healthy as possible. Had a local dentist back home and was skeptical of trying a new dentist, but I’m really glad I landed here. Had an emergency where I thought I cracked my tooth, she was able to work her schedule to see me the same day. That’s the kind of service anyone can appreciate.

I had a first time visit with Dr. Subramanian this morning. She has a fine staff and very nice, well located office in Terra Linda. Dr. Subramanian did an excellent cleaning and advice for my personal dental care. I scheduled an appointment for the fall and will be back. Wonderful value with the Groupon service. I’m very pleased.

If anyone is looking for a dentist in San Francisco, I would highly recommend they go see Dr. Subramanian. I found their dental office through a friend who had some treatment done and was very happy with the results. I had been really regular about going to the dentist but had slacked off for the last 2 years, till one of my teeth started hurting. I called for an emergency appointment and they were able to schedule me right away. Dr.Subramanian quickly put me at ease with her gentle bedside manner. When they took an x ray they found that one of my old fillings had been cracked and leaking for a while. I had a big old cavity and found that I needed a root canal treatment and a crown on the tooth. I was referred to Dr.Bradly Clark’s office to complete the root canal treatment. Dr.Clark is a real fun guy, but he will only talk about root canals. As soon as I started talking about my other treatment, he told me that he trusted that I was in good hands with Dr.Subramanian and she would complete the rest of my treatment. So I went back and had the treatment completed and everything went very smoothly. In fact I was so happy that I was no longer in pain!!! I think what sets Dr.Subramanian apart is her attention to you and the fact that she follows through with things. When I needed the root canal, she made sure that her office manager called Dr.Clark’s office and tried to see if I could be accommodated the very same day in Dr.Clark’s schedule. Can’t tell you how much that meant to me — see I had been up all night downing ibuprofens. Anyway I highly recommend Dr.Subramanian. She is a Prosthodontist, which I came to know after more research, is a dental specialty dealing with more complex dental treatment such as reconstruction of badly broken down teeth and dental implants. Her office has the latest dental technology and best of all she is an excellent dentist both knowledgable and caring.

Once upon a time there was a 10-year-old girl who achieved a mythical feat. She swung herself around the metal support poles of the school swing set and in mid-laugh, knocked out half of her front tooth (sadly not a baby-tooth) and watched it disappear in the bark-dust. (Time warp) One root-canal later at the age of 17, she’s finally old enough to get a permanent crown (apparently). The dentist realizes that it’s about 3mm too fat when it arrives from the lab and since she can’t close her mouth, he does what any cheap-o DMO dentist would do and shaves off the porcelain on the back. Boy, it’s a strong tooth (cuz it’s made out of metal!) and she sure looks sexy with that metal showing up by her gum and the metal showing in the back. (Time warp – 9 years later) Armed with real dental insurance, the girl searches high and low for a dentist that will sort out her smile. Too long has she lived with the uncomfortable suggestion that she might have something in her teeth! Goodbye reverse grill! Goodbye! Dr. Subramanian has, by far, the best chair side manner that I have encountered. Her office coordinated with the endodontist who re-did my root canal (not only was the tooth ugly!) to make sure that I had a temporary crown and wasn’t left hanging looking like that guy from Goonies with only my stub before they could get the final crown. She is also the kind of dentist that looks at you as you are about to leave her office with a temporary crown and makes you come back because she’s just not satisfied even if it’s only going to be on for 2 days. She’s a consummate perfectionist, taking me down to the lab to have the tech look at my crown in his light, in her light, asking other dentist’s opinion. She doesn’t rest until she has it perfect. …And after 9 years of having people tell me I had something in my teeth, I really frickin’ appreciate it.

So i bought my Zoom teeth whitening groupon for Dr. Aparna, and let me tell you…Im SO glad i did. First off, the ppl on the phone? super friendly, great great communication, i scheduled online they called to confirm, loved it. So on the day of the appointment, i got to the beautiful building on Sutter, and had a little confusion with the floor number (its 25!) but i got it. I was welcomed by the most charming girl ever, Dina who helped my checking in and explained everything to me (first timer here) She walked me step by step and made the whole process look simple and fast. Then Dr. Aparna joined to do a simple check up and also discuss some issue i have with my teeth, she gave me an AMAZING advice, and really..I loved the honest down to earth approach Because I had some issues with my teeth due to a really..bad ortho treatment, I had this huge yellow stain on my FRONT teeth, and it stayed there after the whitening, Did Dr. Aparna gave up? Nope! She had some clear time and we went in and decided to fix it and discovered it was a piece of something (aint no dentist to know how it is called) was stuck on my teeth from years back from my ortho treatment! She got it off in SECONDS, and my teeth are…PERFECT. Will defiantly come back. love it!

Sssh.  Don’t distract me.  I’m a little liquored-up now and  I’m totally going to regret this in the morning but…..Dr. Subamanian rocks!  I needed to get some cavities fixed before a big trip and I was lucky enough to find her practice and get an appointment.  Her work was outstanding – and the views from ‘the chair’ are to die for – if you like views of the city and the bay.  Net net – i fired my old dentist and Dr. Subanmanian is now my dentist of record.  My only fear is that i won’t be able to get an appointment once the word get out.

Dr. Subramanian is the kind of professional who makes the experience of going to the dentist a pleasurable one really a few can make that happen. Not only she extremely professional, but also shes also honest and caring. She very knowledgeable and would find the right treatment that suits your needs. The staff is always friendly and yet polite. They always follow up and are on top of billing issues so you dont have to worry about it.

I highly recommend Dr. Subramanian! She is professional and compassionate with a reassuring chair side manner. She speaks in a soothing voice to alleviate any anxiety. She clearly and professional explains procedures she recommends and welcomes any questions or concerns, and she explicitly answers my questions. I trust her judgment completely.
