Came here for the first time several months ago. Staff and doctor were friendly. Explained what I needed then explained what my insurance would cover.  Helped me decide what was most important to do first and what could wait.  Been going to the dentist my whole life, this is the first one that actually showed me how I should be flossing.  Apparently I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time.  Several visits later, I can definitely recommend this place because they seem to generally care about you and your teeth, not just getting you in and out.

AWESOME service here! I’ve been coming to Dr. Wayman Chan’s clinic for years now and each time, I’m so impressed with the facility’s cleanliness, staff’s great service and most importantly, Dr. Wayman Chan’s awesome way of making his patients feel comfortable. He’s also good with kids, so if you’re looking for a pediatric dentist for your children, they see kids of all ages. Cindy up front is super friendly and helpful as well!!! She always remembers my name and is extremely knowledgeable about anything you have to ask about.

I get high anxiety when choosing a new dentist, but moving to LA from Houston left me with no choice. I have a friend who told me about Dr Chan and felt I may as well give him a shot. True, from other reviews, this is not a fancy office but the staff and dentist are incredibly friendly. The Dr helped me feel at ease as he realized my anxiousness in getting two fillings. Overall I am happy to have found this dentist as I’ve had seriously poor dental professionals at various points in my life. Thanks Dr Chan.

By far the best dentist ever. I came to this office because my sister was working here on weekends. I met Dr. Chan and explained what a big baby I was when it came to dental work. I knew from previous dental visits that I needed A LOT of work and I had pain so I knew I needed it all asap. After my consult…i needed, 8 root canals with crowns, several fillings, and some of my leaky old filings redone. First appointment…did 5 root canals in one sitting…i think I’m glad I did because I dont know if I would have been able to sit through a root canal 5 separate times. It took about 7 visits spread over 6 months to finally finish…but I did go back every appointment without fear. Dr. Chan is a great doctor…he always checked to make sure I was complete numb, asked if I was ok constantly, asked if I had any pain at all, didn’t get mad at my getting up to spit so often…he really does his absolute best to make you comfortable. Most of my visits I brought in my ipod and music helped me escape the drilling sound which helped. The girls Cindy and Sarah have always been very helpful in any way possible…awesome office and better people!!

I have hated going to the dentist just like everyone else.  That has completely changed now!  I had my first appointment with Dr. Chan last week and it was the easiest and most pleasant dentist appointment I have ever had!  He is such a people person that you feel completely comfortable the moment you meet him. One thing I have hated most about dentists in the past is that they are really rough and just yank your lips and mouth around without any concern for your comfort.  Not Dr. Chan!  He was so gentle and it is over before you know it!! Dr. Chan is an honest and gentle dentist.  He treats you and your mouth like he would his own.  I wouldn’t trust my teeth and gums to anyone else.  He tells you exactly what you need/don’t need.  The staffs were all very nice and thoughtful and I give the entire experience a 5 Star rating for sure!!! Everyone I’ve referred has had a good experience!

Dr. Wayman Chan is awesome. He did quite a bit of work on my 7 year old and everything turned out great, my son was nervous but Dr. Wayman calmed him down.  I really liked that they did NOT strap down my son like in other dental offices AND that i was allowed to be with him at all times. He also did work on my teen. Both are pleased.

I have been coming here for over a year now and each visit has been consistently pleasant.  I hate hate hate the dentist but I had to have a lot of work done fixing previous dental work.  This place makes going to the dentist not so bad.  Everyone from the receptionists to the dentists are extremely nice. Making appointments is easy. Each appointment I have had, I have never had to wait more than a couple minutes. The office is very clean. They explain what they’re doing before doing it. They carefully answer any questions I have. I like the music they play And the last thing that stood out to me is that the dentists ask you about every few minutes if you’re doing ok, which none of my previous dentists cared to do.  Even though sometimes it’s hard to answer with what’s going on in your mouth, it’s nice to know they worry.  In the past few years I have gone through about 4 different dental offices, and this is the one that has kept me going back. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to this office for several years now.  I’m really surprised at the negative experience PP describes.  She might have the wrong office since I know this office has digital xrays.  The dentist even takes the time to show me my own xrays on the computer, which I find pretty cool.  I go in every 6 months or more (depending if I have any cavities) and most of the times they tell me I don’t need any xrays, as long as they are not over a year old.  When I first went there I had an HMO and never felt neglected or mistreated.  They explained very clearly what I’m paying for and why.  I changed jobs last year and got a new PPO insurance which covers a WHOLE lot more.  I never noticed being treated differently.  Mainly because I felt they were always kind and courteous.  Most importantly the dentists here are really good and explains everything as they are doing it, and they went to USC!!  Go Trojans!!

Who likes to go to the dentist? Well not me at least :). I went to visit Dr. Chan through a referral. Thank God that he was very professional, down to earth, and walk me through everything. There are three things that I love most about this dental group, the wait wasn’t very long, it was a very nice facility, and a great dentist. I asked numerous questions about everything, pros and cons of all the options. He was very understanding and sincerely giving me his opinions. I really appreciate honesty and compassion especially in these era of health care.
