I have been coming to Dr. Smudde for close to 15 years. They see our entire family. I love coming to the dentist because they take such good care of you when you are here. Make you feel super relaxed and comfortable. I don’t particularly have a fear about coming to the dentist but if you are someone who feels uneasy than Santa Clarita Advanced Dentistry is the perfect place for you. They offer blankets and pillows to make you comfortable. They will play music or let you watch something on your own personal TV screen. The staff is super knowledgeable, caring and gentle with their treatments. They also are extremely conscientious of what services are necessary vs nice to have done. They will suggest treatments but also let you know if it’s urgently required or if you can wait. They accept insurance, have payment plan options and work with you on what you need for financial assistance. They also offer Invisalign (which both my daughter and I went through). Orthodontist work is not handled by SCAD but they have plenty of local recommendations if needed. They also have great referrals for pediatric dentistry which we used for our kids when they were younger. The offices are conveniently located off of the 5 freeway at Magic Mountain Parkway. They have ample parking for free!!

Two fillings, one crown and an extraction, no pain, all in 2 hours. Quick, professional, friendly, and charged what was quoted initially, no up charges. Their Covid-19 precautions and protocols are great, they are making sure the patience safety is number one, Temperature check, social distancing, disinfecting, face masks, gloves, face shields. Highly recommended!

Yes, I absolutely recommend them to anyone around me. This is an amazing office of dentists, hygienists, and office staff. They truly care about their patients and The Smudde’s are very generous and kind people. They work with you if you have a fear of the dentist as many people do and are very patient and helps you through your anxiety. They also offer sedation dentistry for the extreme individuals that just need that to get their teeth done and feeling better. You have got to try this office out

Have you ever felt like when you go to the dentist it was a continuous lecture and scolding for an hour? I have! Terrible! That is NOT the case at Santa Clarita Advanced Dentistry! I am terrified of the dentist. In the past, I have felt like the dentists I saw didn’t really care about my dental health or addressing my anxieties. That was not the case at Santa Clarita Advanced Dentistry. Dr. Smudde and his amazing team made me feel so at ease. The exam was very comprehensive, and they answered all of my questions. Mary, my hygienist was gentle and caring while cleaning my teeth. She made sure it was the best experience possible. The dental assistant (I wish I could remember her name!) was so knowledgeable and kind. She spent a lot of time explaining everything to me and wanted to make sure I had the best experience and as little anxiety as possible. I need quite a bit of work, and the professionals at Santa Clarita Advanced Dentistry have me several options for treatment. I feel like they have my best interest as their interest! Highly recommended!

My husband and I have been patients here  for several years. Recently, I transferred the care of my children from a pediatric dentist to this office. One of my sons had his first visit and was worried  this was an “adult” practice and not only for kids. By the time he left with his care package of stuff( no longer plastic toys and such lol), he was pleasantly surprised. He loved having his own tv, liked the staff and felt comfortable the whole time. I think he thought that since adults are patients there too, the staff would be less likely to put up with apprehensiveness from a younger person. I told him the biggest babies are the adults like myself! ( yes, it’s in my record ) Not only was the experience good, but they accept our insurance! I had been paying out of pocket big bills every 6 months because the pets dentist was out of network. Had I done some research earlier, I could have saved money. I also wanted to add that I am a big baby when I go to the dentist. I have slowly improved as a patient thanks to this practice

Well, had my oral surgery and went back today to start the denture procedure. Carol is the best, and Dr. Allen Smudde came in to check on me, he assisted, and always came back to check on how I was doing. As Carol built my top dentures & put them in, she took me to the mirror and I literally brought tears to my eyes. I once again had a beautiful smile. This office is so friendly and I would recommend highly to everyone! I go back again next week to get my full smile. I’m so looking forward to going back. Yes that came from me the biggest baby who was petrified of dentists

I went to SC Advanced Dentistry last month for the first time & there really aren’t enough hours in the day for me to explain what a true Godsend Dr. Allen Smudde, Carol Smudde & the whole office staff are.  I was literally at my wits end with the dentist I had been currently going to.  For the last 3 years I unfortunately had to have a lot of extensive & costly (out of pocket, no insurance) dental work done.  After 3 years of almost weekly visits to this dentist I was in worse shape than when I started.  After researching & reading every review possible I decided to turn to Dr Smudde for help.  All I can say is boy did I hit the jackpot.  Dr. Allen & Carol literally performed miracles with my smile within a month of my first visit to them & at a small percentage of what my other dentist had charged me.  For the first time in 40 years I LOVED LOVED LOVED my smile.  Everyone in this office from the front office personnel to the dental assistants to Drs Smudde, Allen & Carol are just wonderful.  I really feel like I have made new friends for life.  I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about SC Advanced Dentistry & I highly recommend them.  If you are looking for a dentist PLEASE go see them

Best dentist I have encountered. When I first came to the Smudde I had already gone to two other dentists who said I needed 4 root canals and was going to run me about 4K!  I came here on a recommendation and saw Allen who said I didn’t need any root canals! And he not only saved my teeth , he saved my money as well!!!! That was probably 10+ years ago and I have now moved to Pasadena and I drive all the way out here to see them. I have seen both Allen and Kelly and would highly recommend them! They are so kind and are not the kind to rip you off. They are honest and down to earth. I can’t speak for the other doctors that work there. But the Smudde ‘s are the best!

Excellent service care and treatment! Front desk ALWAYS welcomes you as you enter and they are extremely helpful and professional. Back office is awesome! I love this team!  I’ve never had to wait more than 10 min to be seen and I actually expect to wait at least 15-20 min. I work in the healthcare field so I’m familiar with how things work and its reasonable to wait in any office. But this place always exceeds my expectations!! I am soooo happy and satisfied!  I’ve been to other dental offices and I couldn’t be happier! I will never have to look for another dentist again! I’ve read the negative comments and I’m shocked that there would even be one. Someone mentioned a billing/ins issue. And used the phase “fine print”. As a patient it is THE PATIENTS responsibility to read all content that is given to you and it’s your signature that acknowledges it. If your not sure about something, take sometime to sit down and read the office policy and procedure. Trust me they wont mind. If your that concerned about it take a min to read through it.  NO matter where you go, you will have to acknowledge and sign a financial agreement between you and your Doctor. Rule of thumb, KNOW YOUR INSURANCE BENEFITS!  Every in-network provider will indeed have a patients insurance rates. That does NOT guarantee your benefits are quoted to the exact penny. Plus, your provided a treatment plan before any treatment is performed. So you have a break down of what your insurance will cover vs your patient responsibility. As a patient you have the right and option to wait on the treatment, take that plan home and re-verify those numbers with your ins. If you decided to have the treatment and everything is said and done, you really shouldn’t have had a bill, unless there was a underage or overage (in this case you’ll be provided with a refund or credit). It does happen and just because it does, doesn’t mean the office is incompetent. Believe it or not, insurance companies don’t even give correct information at times. It can be frustrating but like I said, no your benefits, go online to your ins website and review your plan, compare your numbers and plan ahead. Dr. Smudde’ office has never pressured me about getting work done. In fact, they have helped prioritize what needed to get done now vs what can wait (within decent time frame). They not only treat you very well, but they educate you on dental care without making you feel embarrassed. Mr & Mrs Dr. Smudde BIG THANK YOU THANK YOU for being such a great dental family, you guys will always have a forever patient and I would recommend anyone to you! Keep doing what your doing because its STELLAR!! See you in 6 months!

This place is fantastic!!! Went here for our first time yesterday. Super nice and beautiful office!!! They make you feel welcome and super comfortable. I am petrified of the dentist and they made me feel so comfortable that I am finally going to get all my work done. Thank you all for everything!!! My hubby, son and I are all your new forever patients. If anyone is looking for a dentist in the SCV area this is definitely the best place to go!

Santa Clarita Advanced Dentistry is one of the cleanest and most pleasurable dentists that I ever seen. All the staff are professional and very helpful. I never had a deep cleaning that was not painful until I got mines done here. Lisa Jenkins helped me and gave me a tour of the facility, and I want to thank her personally for the gift I got for my first visit. I have been a patient of Dr.’s Allen and Kelly since they started their practice together back about 20 years ago. They were great then, and fantastic now. They have acquired the best staff one could hope for! In addition to them are Dr.’s Cho and Gabriel who are both awesome. The entire staff (front office, hygienists, and assistants are all very professional and dedicated to your best possible experience. If that were not enough, they keep on top of upgrading and using the latest dental technology known, and have a beautiful office with a wonderful view of the mountains to the north. I highly recommend them. You won’t regret it!

I was referred to Smudde Dentistry by a family member and am a new client, I am so impressed with their entire practice and the way the staff interacts with each other an their clients very friendly and professional. Met with Kelly for an evaluation what a pleasure that was I felt very comfortable and all my questions and concerns were addressed. I love the fact they explain what they are doing as they go through the procedures, no surprises! I am one of those clients who will need their teeth deep cleaned every three months I was amazed that the cleaning was done by water pressure with a small amount of scraping, gotta admit it did not hurt and I am not afraid for my next cleaning. I will definitely refer my family and friends to Smudde Dentistry….Job Well Done!

I have to agree with the former comment. We were told our insurance covered the things they recommended. I paid my share straight up front and now I am getting a bill months later for things NOT covered. They told me I should have checked with my insurance myself. How does one go about doing that without the codes and procedures? Shame on me for not doing their job. I will definitely be more vigilant in their future thanks to them. Had they checked with my insurance the way the said they did, they would have known what was covered and what was not and I wouldn’t be getting a bill. I have cancelled all further appointments with them

My first visit a broken tooth ended up having to have a root canal. The staff are all wonderful, very friendly, profession and informative. Lisa the assistant to the doctors is incredible, she made me feel very comfortable, explained everything , made sure I wasn’t having any pain and is very friendly and really nice. Drs. Smudde and Schatz were great. They explained everything they were doing, made sure I wasn’t in any pain and are very friendly. I felt very comfortable with everyone, like I’d been going there for awhile even thought it was my first visit. They are very gentle, and very thorough. I feel they did an excellent job and that they all really care about all their patients. Jennifer is really sweet. She called today to see how I was doing. Very happy I was referred to them

This was my first visit and although I’ll need some work done in the next couple of weeks, they made me feel super at home and comfortable from the moment I got there. The office is large, cozy and very high-tech. The chairs where you take your xrays and have the doctor check you, are SO comfortable. I was so nervous when I got there, as a lot of people are going to the dentist. But by the time I left, I felt at ease. Staff is great, doctors are great and I’m actually looking forward to them fixing me up

I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Allen and Kelly Smuddes office! I hadn’t been to the dentist in years due to fear, but i am extremely happy my first experience back was with Santa Clarita Advanced Dentistry! They are so kind hearted and understand every individuals unique needs. Maribel, Victoria, Cristina, and the rest of the Team were so helpful and made my experience even better. If you need a cleaning, root canal, crown, implant, veneers, invisalign, or just a random tooth ache, this is the office to go to and the office I will recommend over and over and over again. Drs. Allen & Kelly Smudde are the best dentists in the Santa Clarita Valley. Also, there is Dr. Ryan and Dr. Inbo Cho! Not only is their office visually appealing, you are greeted by the nicest front office girls! I was taken back as soon as I finished with some updates and when I went back there was a Happy Birthday banner & balloons all over the area I was going to be in! I’ll let you in on a little secret…..I worked with this wonderful group and dear Dr. Kelly did this surprise for me since I just turned 60! After my tears, Lisa took me back and did all of my x-rays (what a sweetheart she was!) Thank you Lisa! I had not had my teeth cleaned for approximately two years due to an illness. Therefore, I was a little apprehensive and terrified that I had a mouthful of cavities! To my surprise, I had a really great checkup! Time for the cleaning…I had the nicest and very gentle Hygienist, Amber! She was so nice and very informative! Thank you Amber! Also, thank you so much to the Smudde Team! You are all so kind, especially my dear friend Teresa  I will always recommend your office to anyone who needs a Dentist! Many Blessings & love to you all!

The BEST dental office anyone could ever ask for. I drive one and a half hours, each way, to be a patient of the Smuddes dental office!!! Upon arrival at the office, my daughter and I are always greeted by warm and friendly staff. The office decor helps put you at ease, especially to those of us who may feel a little nervous about dental appointments. However, since being a patient of the Smuddes, I can honestly say, all dental concerns and feelings of anxiety have completely disappeared. I actually look forward to my check-ups! Dr. Kelly and Dr. Allen, along with there associate are truly incredible dentists. They care about their patients’ well-being and dental needs. I am thankful that they always take the time to explain things to me. I never feel rushed during my appointments. My teeth are beautiful, as are my daughter’s teeth. My daughter started seeing the Smuddes at a young age & they were able to assist and guide me through the orthodontia years. The Smuddes have been an incredible resource and support system to both me and my daughter!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL OFFICE TO EVERYONE!!! First time visiting this dentist since I recently moved back to the area and I absolutely loved it. I had a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in the SCV area. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Office and facility are clean and inviting. I was given a tour since it was my first time which was very nice. I was even greeted with a gift when I sat down! My dental hygienist and dentist were super helpful and gave me many tips on what I could do to continue my care at home. They offer so many things during your visit to make you comfortable. You can even watch TV (right in front of you) when you are getting your teeth cleaned, which I was not used to. I’m so glad I found a great dentist! If you’re looking for a dentist in the SCV area, this is it!

I and my family have been very happy with the office of Drs. Allen and Kelly Smudde for the past number of years (at least 8 or 9). They and their office staff are really great. They also continue to be on the cutting edge of technology in their practice, so you never really have to worry if there is something better/newer out there that you might be missing out on. We also have a special needs child that is very challenging, and I mean beyond challenging. Many times it is hard to get him to any appointment. Drs. Smudde and their staff have been very successful with him and that in itself is a testament to their caring, understanding, and expertise. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist

Today I visited the free dental service offered by Smudde Dental. I have been struggling with all the work I needed done and was thankful for the chance to have one item done free of cost. I was shocked and humbled when the Dr Smudde fixed three of my teeth for me. The office was so friendly and pleasant trying so hard to make your visit the best ever and they succeeded. I will let everyone know if they need a great dentist that cares this is the place to go. They are amazing. Thank you so much for the wonderful help

When eating my carnitas burrito from Chipotle the other night, had the unexpected bonus of it becoming crunchy halfway through. No this wasn’t a new option on the menu but rather my 10 yo crown which broke in half. I immediately called Dr Smudde’s office leaving a long winded explanation as to what happened along with a plea for them to do whatever they could to fit me it. Their office opens at 8:00 am and a few minutes before received a call letting me know they would squeeze me in. THAT MORNING. Well…after a few forms to update (I tend to neglect my dental responsibilities as it was 4 years since my last visit) and two and a half hours in the chair, walked out of there with a new crown along with two discovered cavities which were tended to. All of the Dr’s and assistants here are great along with the front office staff who combined make this a really amazing office. And there is the added bonus of being able to watch ceiling mounted TV while they are drilling away which passes the time even faster. I can actually say that I look forward to going back. In six months
