If you have some periodontal issues, there is simply no one better to see than Dr. Shafi. Her bedside manner is second to none. One of the best medical professionals I have ever had. She truly cares not only about your dental needs, but about you as a person.

Thank goodness Dr. Shafi opened an office in Santa Monica – and just in time!  I moved to Santa Monica from Washington DC four months ago and shortly after moving here I lost a filling.  I figured it was a routine thing to replace, but when I went to the dentist, he told me it wasn’t and that I would need to see a periodontist.  He also said I could possibly lose my tooth.  I was terrified.  He and Dr. Shafi worked closely together to develop a treatment plan (even met with me together despite different locations).  In their discussions they worked to not only find a plan that could save my tooth, but also save me time and money.   I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Shafi.  If you have any dental anxiety, she’s your savior!  She instantly puts you at ease and takes a lot of time to walk you through exactly what she needs to do and what it will entail.  She showed me pictures, diagrams, explained the various scenarios, etc.  I am not someone who would take time to write a review if I wasn’t so over the moon about my service.  I had my surgery with her TODAY and I feel no pain.  Most importantly, she saved my tooth and all for about a quarter of the out of pocket I was expecting!  I hope for your sake you don’t need to see a periodontist, but if you do, nice to know there is someone this fantastic in the area.

I am writing this review with the utmost sincerity. Dr. Shafi is absolutely amazing! I have had a terrible fear of any type of dentist for many years, so much so that I has to take anxiety pills just to walk into a dental office. When I found out I had periodontal disease, I cried because that just sounded like a death sentence as far as I was concerned. But Dr. Shafi is so caring she was able to put my fears at ease and actually give me hope in my condition. She explained everything to me clearly and gave me information that I had never even heard before on how to truly take care of my teeth in between dental cleanings, and even used visuals to show me exactly what to do! She performed multiple procedures which improved my condition tremendously! I continue to see her for post ops and cleanings to make sure I continue improvement. I can honesty say Dr. Shafi cares about her patients. If you are looking for a great periodontist do not hesitate to book an appointment to see her! Going to her has definitely changed my life.

Had a few visits with Dr. Shafi for a procedure I need to get done. I have been avoiding the procedure because it involves removes a minimal amour of bone in my mouth. However, Dr. Shafi has examined me a few times and gone over each step that I will need to do and has made me feel so comfortable about doing it. She is honest, upfront and not pushy at all. Her chair side manner is great and gentle yet confident. Can’t wait to see my outcome!! I will be posting before and after pics soon!

I have been going to Santa Monica Bay Dental for a couple of years this is the first Dental Practice that I have been to in 30 years that made me want to keep returning, I knew I had found a great office. I always feel welcome when I get to the office and all of the employees go above and beyond to ensure that I am comfortable and make sure that I understand the treatments I am in need of. One thing I really love about this office is the new equipment that they have in-house. I was in need of some restorative inlays and instead of having to make multiple appointments for scans and waiting for a lab to make the inlays Santa Monica Bay Dental was able to prepare the inlay while I was in the chair and place it all in a single appointment. I also had the opportunity to have a filling done with their new laser which doesn’t require anesthesia. I was very glad to not feel anything and when I walked out the door my mouth wasn’t numb and I was ready to head straight to work. Overall this Practice is filled with people who care about your oral health and are always looking for and keeping up with new technologies to improve your experience and save you time. I couldn’t be happier with a dentist and am glad I found Santa Monica Bay Dental.

Santa Monica Bay Dental is a wonderful dental practice. I would highly recommend it.my dentist  is thoughtful and listened to my concerns. He walked me through several options for treatment. I had a hard time getting numb for my procedure and he made sure that I was comfortable for my entire procedure. I don’t see how anyone could give these guys anything but 5 stars. The experience is so easy and relaxing. I showed up an hour early and they took me within 5 mins for arriving. The front desk folks are super friendly and helpful. The hygienists are extremely talented, gentle, knowledgable, professional and friendly. The dentists are also extremely knowledgable and personable. The technology in the office is state of the art. My x-rays took about 3 mins total. They never, ever try to push things you don’t need on you like teeth whitening. Plus the views from the chair of Beverly Hills are awesome to look at. I am recommending these guys to my friends completely unsolicited. They offer the best possible dentist experience – hands down. There’s not one thing I would change. I can’t imagine who would give these guys only 4 stars.

Dr. Feist is wonderful and the perfect dentist for anyone who has previously had significant issues with their teeth. I suffered a facial injury as a teenager that has resulted in major dental surgeries and other issues throughout my life, so I like a doctor who is sensitive to my experiences and yet who will talk to me like a reasonable, educated adult with options. I am currently in the middle of the latest work – orthodontics, two implants, and bone grafting – and Dr. Feist has been great and helping to breakdown not only the options, recovery, timeline but also the financials. In the midst of it all, we ran into a very serious roadblock that required more surgery and naturally I was very upset over both the extra work/pain and the costs, considering I’m getting married in a few months, so I was a bit teary in the office. A few days later, I received the nicest card of encouragement in the mail with two free movie tickets from Dr. Feist, encouraging me that it will all work out great and to take an afternoon at the movies to enjoy a break from it all. It made my week 🙂 She has great staff who are incredibly competent and friendly, and her equipment is top-notch. I highly recommend!

I first came for a consultation with Dr. Shafi, after my regular dentist referred me for a crown lengthening procedure/surgery. Dr. Shafi was very thorough in explaining what she would be doing, the recovery & my follow up visits for a quick check up. She took her time with me & made me feel very welcomed & at ease about my upcoming procedure. My next visit was the procedure & Dr. Shafi once again explained what we would be doing, the after care & my follow up visit. She was friendly, courteous & warm throughout the entire visit. She let me know that I could call her at anytime, if I had any unusual discomfort or had any concerns. Overall, my visit with Dr. Shafi was very pleasant.

I’ve been coming to Santa Monica Bay Dental for a little over a year and I love it! I can’t believe I’m saying I actually enjoy going to the dentist, but they have made all my experiences with them so enjoyable. They make sure that I’m comfortable and are always willing to explain everything they’re doing, which definitely calms my nerves! The office is beautiful and clean and the staff is always so friendly. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to Santa Monica Bay Dental for almost 3 years now, and I am always pleased with how smoothly the office runs, how friendly and respectful the staff is, and how painless treatment is! Preventive care is very important to them, and the doctors are always trying to keep treatment as conservative as possible – it seems that the patient’s best interest is at heart for sure. I have had a crown replaced, and many hygiene visits with my hygienist, Charlotte. I always leave confident that I am getting the best dental care. I drive up from the South Bay, so that should tell you how amazing this office is! Definitely worth the drive. Highly recommend.
