Someone advice me to see Moeiz office to check my teeth before i get my braces and he found out that my gums need detailed repair to heal. What i notice the doctor was very respectful and communicative for detailed processed that needs to be done as possible. Plus, his assistant who does cleaned my teeth are very confident to do the job in detailed manner. Well Im a hard working person and I can tell if the person are hardworking as well.Thumbs up!!!

I had the opportunity to meet and have Dr. Koshki cement a crown back in for me today. He is a wonderful dentist who thoroughly explains every option and does not pressure you in one way or another. He seems very knowledgeable and although I have had just this one procedure done with him, I can tell that he is very careful, precise and a skillful dentist. HIs office is clean with sweeping views and very high tech equipment. Another plus is his assistant who seemed to work seamlessly with Dr. Koshki. Finally, I also want to point out the wonderful office manager who remembered me from one prior meeting. I was very impressed by this group and pleased to be a patient of this office.

Changing dentists is a daunting prospect. I’m very happy to have found Dr. Koshki and his super friendly and capable staff. Dr. Koshki is completely hands on, including the cleaning. And I greatly appreciate that they have an affordable first time offer for those without insurance that covers cleaning, exam and x-rays, as well as programs for continued services. I will gladly return for my next check up in 6 months.

Truly an excellent dentist. Years since he (and his friendly staff) worked on my teeth, I have suffered no problems. I once saw a different dentist after he relocated; they gave me an absurd treatment plan, stating all sorts of terribly unethical diagnoses (I pity other patients of that dentist; I can only hope they are not subject to medical malpractice) — so I located Dr Koshki again and was relieved by his opinion that nothing was wrong with my teeth at all. I know his opinion was in fact true because I consulted other dentists who provided the same information. He is very pleasant and relaxed and I would recommend him to anyone. My teeth have never been so healthy! Thanks! *Update 2017 ———- I wrote the above review in 2011. It’s now 2017 and I have only positive things to say about Dr Koshki and his staff. I always recommend people to go to him, and they then thank me in return for having found a wonderful dentist. He has always been kind and careful with my teeth. Thank you!

I have been a patient of Dr Koshki since he first came to Santa Monica and took over Dr. Kandel’s practice. I was originally Dr. Kandel’s patient. Dr. Koshki and his staff have always exceeded my expectations. In the past 10 years, I only had one cavity replaced and it was a good experience. I have had two different hygienists and both are excellent. And the office manager is proactive about scheduling, appointment reminders and changes in appointments. I had one experience that illustrates Dr. Koshki’s integrity. A couple of years ago, I misinterpreted what the hygienist said about one of my two fillings being ‘borderline’ about requiring replacement.  I showed up to my appointment to have it removed, I sat in the chair, a plastic dam was set up, and the doctor prepared a syringe of Novocain. Then he took a close look and decided that the cavity was ok and didn’t need replacement. That incident reassured me about Dr. Koshki’s honesty and ethics

We recently switched to Dr. Koshki at the recommendation of the orthodontist Dr. Paul Austin. So glad we did! The office manager, Vicki (with an “i”!) was incredibly helpful over the phone, email and in person, and even explained how our last dentist was charging us for procedures that weren’t even being performed. She also gave us great suggestions on toothpaste and mouthwash that isn’t too “spicy,” as the girls call it. Getting teenagers to take care of their teeth is a nightmare, so any tips at all are so helpful! Dr. Koshki is thorough and professional. He always gets us in and out quickly, and takes the time to explain everything to you. Most importantly, he is not trying to perform unnecessary procedures. Our girls had a lot of cavities, so we were staring down the barrel of a pretty big bill, but he was able to differentiate between the cavities that were just incipient (small/beginning) and with proper oral hygiene would not get worse, versus those that really needed to be worked on. He even stated that he thought it would be irresponsible to fill these small/incipient cavities at this stage, as in order to fill them they would have to scrape away at the existing tooth, which would hurt the structural integrity of the tooth more than it would help it, and with proper oral hygiene the cavities should not get bigger anyway.  Oh! And the last dentist was trying to convince us to have both of the girls’ wisdom teeth removed, and Dr. Koshki insisted that this was absolutely not necessary, and that a good dentist should not even begin thinking about removing wisdom teeth until someone is about 18 or 19 years old. So all in all, what the other dentist quoted at about 5-6 visits per girl, Dr. Koshki was able to accommodate in 4, TOTAL, cutting out a bunch of unnecessary time and money spent. Would not hesitate to go back, but hopefully if all goes as planned we’ll only need to see them for routine cleanings!

I’m genuinely confused as to how anyone could give Dr. Koshki or his staff poor reviews. He is the single best dentist I’ve ever had. I’ve recommended him to half a dozen people, and all of them reported back with similarly great experiences. They  office is high-tech, the hygienists exude competence, the office coordinator deals with your insurance so you don’t have to, and – alongside everything else – Dr. Koshki is quite simply an amazing. As for the specific criticism from the one person who apparently had a bad experience: I’ve never experienced anything like that. I’ve never been told I needed seemingly unnecessary work, nor has anyone else I’ve sent to the office. In fact Dr. Koshki has recommended a root canal and/or fillings for me exactly once in the six years I’ve been regularly going to his office. That was the very first time I came in, when I rushed in with a dental emergency that had me in excruciating pain, and when he stayed open late to treat me. Suffice to say the procedure was the exact opposite of unnecessary. Like many other people in the area, I first found Dr. Koshki via referral. Again, I had let a tooth condition get to the point of debilitating pain, and needed a dentist *now*. I asked a friend, they gave me the office phone number, and I called at about 2pm and explained my situation. The days’ appointments were obviously booked – and the day was almost over anyway – but they had me drive in immediately and just extended their work hours. The subsequent procedure was, for all that we were starting late, methodical and unrushed. Dr. Koshki worked through what had to be done to ease the immediate pain, and then he began treating the underlying condition. It obviously wasn’t a *happy* experience – having to rush to a dentist never is – but those are exactly the times when you want an experienced, skilled, *gentle* dentist. Dr. Koshki is all of those things. Highly, highly recommended.

Doctor Koshki is a GREAT dentist. When I moved here three years ago, I asked around for recommendations, and went to his office. I have never been disappointed with the friendly and professional staff, the facilties are accomodating, and Dr. Koshki is not only highly skilled and professional, but he shows a real concern for the comfort of his patients. NOTE: the one negative review on this site was from someone who chose not to be a patient, apparently from her own financial concerns. Review sites such as Yelp should delete reviews from such people, who are by their own admission ignorant. Although he is not the cheapest dentist in tow, Dr. Koshki in no way deserves such a bad review.

I have changed many dentists until i was recommended to Dr. Koshki by my brother. i have always been afraid of going to the dentists but Dr. koshki has changed this feeling and now i look forward to going to his office. Dr. Koshki is very honest, caring and very intelligent. I have had multiple operations done by Dr. Koshki and i have recommend him to all my friends. It is hard to find a good honest dentist these days and i feel lucky to have Dr. Koshki as my dentist.

Dr Koshki is very caring and professional I love going to him for my dental work . I love everyone work there and you do not associate that environment with pain that dental work has is very peaceful and professional you feel good to be there. Thanks all
