Dr. Santoro has been my dentist for several years. The office waiting room is comfortable and inviting, though not much time is spent there as the wait time is extremely minimal. From the family pictures to the homelike decor, you immediately feel at ease. The office staff is friendly and welcoming. Once escorted into the treatment rooms, you realize the care that was taken for patient comfort. While I am not a patient who fears going to the dentist, there are those who may. The patient rooms have state-of-the-art equipment and chairs that bring a great level of comfort to the patient. Additionally, there are TVs in each room with beautifully soothing photography displayed on the screens to keep you visually entertained. The music playing is an added bonus! I have had the good fortune of experiencing teeth cleaning by both hygienists, Silva and Rhonda. Each is careful and thorough, as well as friendly. Dental Assistant Naz is experienced and gentle and does a wonderful job of keeping patients relaxed. Dr. Santoro is compassionate, knowledgeable and articulate. He explain what he is doing before he does it, which is something I prefer. He is gentle and calming which goes a long way in treating a patient with prior fears of the dentist. Dr. Santoro only prescribes essential treatments so you will never be told you need something done unnecessarily. I highly recommend Dr. Santoro if you are searching for an experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate dentist.

Dr. Santoro is a great and honest dentist, plain and simple. I visited his office specifically for new anterior crowns after being severely-disappointed with the dental work done by my last office. My last office made me distrustful of dentists altogether but it’s safe to say that Dr. Santoro restored my faith. Apart from his work on the crowns, which was excellent, his staff is also well-trained and friendly. All in all, I can definitely see myself returning to his office. If you have reservations about visiting his office, you needn’t worry; he’s got you covered.

Dr Santoro and his team are nothing short of the best. Professional from start to finish. They make sure your health insurance covers a procedure BEFORE they begin, they estimate a quote, they explain what they’re doing before they do it, the cleaning is thorough, the staff is professional, it’s clean and comfortable and Dr Santoro is friendly, quick and easy to talk too. Highly recommended for those looking for a new dentist!

WORLD’S BEST DENTIST! The staff is super efficient– I’ve never had to wait longer than a couple minutes to be called in. Dr Santoro is an absolute pleasure to be around. Perfect bedside manner. It had been 4 years since I last saw a dentist and I had 13 cavities when he met me and he was never condescending or reprimanding. He’s funny too! I really felt like he was on my side. He’s super knowledgeable and more importantly, explained my conditions and procedures in terms I could understand. His hygienist is very kind and knowledgeable as well. Prices are fair. I had a hard time keeping my mouth open, and he was understanding, accommodating and always checking to make sure I was doing ok. Best dental experience I’ve ever had. Period.

After coming to this practice for 20 years, I decided it is time to write a review about my experience. I do not live in Pasadena and there are many dentists much closer to me than Dr. Santoro’s location. However, I would rather travel to get the dental care I trust. Unlike many other very competent but busy doctors, Dr. Santoro is very informative and takes as much time as necessary to clarify issues and concerns for his patients. When it comes to more complicated cases, Dr. Santoro provides different options and explains each advantages and disadvantages until you are completely comfortable in your decision. I believe Dr. Santoro really puts his patients’ welfare first. I complimented Dr. Santoro repeatedly for giving me the best shots – I hate needles but no one does it better than Dr. Santoro. Several other reviewers mentioned his staff of friendly front desk staff and oral hygienists. I think they are very well trained to be proactive in patient care. They look for any signs of possible trouble before trouble actually develops. An excellent team.

Are there 10 stars? I really think there should be at least 10 stars for Dr. Santoro and his awesome staff. My husband and I started coming here about a year ago and it’s been a consistently high quality, professional, painless and outstanding experience each time. Dr. S is a crack-up and a great dentist to boot. I’ve had some fillings repaired, a crown replacement and my usual cleanings with high quality results each time. Front desk staff is efficient and friendly. You’ll love this place, give them a try

There are not enough stars to give Dr. Santoro and all of the wonderful oral hygienists at this dental office. They provide excellent patient care for my family and I. Dr. Santoro and the oral hygienists are super friendly and make me feel comfortable during every visit. They truly make each appointment stress free! They are all very welcoming and warming and make each dental visit seem like a breeze. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in looking for a new Dental office to come see Dr. Santoro and the excellent staff, you won’t regret it!

There are only a few things in life that truly freak me out, and seeing a dentist tops the list. I managed to avoid seeing one for nearly 15 years until my crown popped out late one afternoon. Despite it being very close to closing hours, Dr. Santoro kindly saw me at the last minute. He is a very skilled, gentle, and, most importantly, a calming dentist. His demeanor, personality, and interaction are all very soothing and made me feel completely at ease. Unfortunately, my 15 years of dodging the dentist requires more work than just replacing my crown, but for the first time ever, I am actually looking forward to seeing a dentist again – so long as it is Dr. Santoro. I strongly recommend Dr. Santoro for those who are too scared of seeing a dentist. After one visit with him, you will wonder why you feared dentists in the first place!

My mother has been going to Dr. Perkins for 30 years and was always so happy with the excellent care she received. Recently, she was advised that she needed a tooth extraction by Dr. Perkins’s new associate, Dr. Santoro. She was extremely nervous about the procedure as she not had a tooth extracted since she was a teenager, which was some 40 odd years ago. Dr. Santoro explained everything so thoroughly, was so caring and empathetic, that my mom, who had originally wanted to be anesthetized for the procedure, changed her mind and let him proceed. The procedure took only about 2 minutes and my mom never felt a thing and had no pain whatsoever afterwords. In following in Dr. Perkins’s footsteps, Dr. Santoro has big shoes to fill and he is doing so in fine form.

I am SO RELIEVED to have found Dr. Scott Santoro of Perkins & Santoro DDS. I have looked for a good dentist for YEARS and have been disappointed by the service and selection in Echo Park/Silver Lake/Los Feliz…even DTLA. He is thorough, thoughtful, and would never recommend unnecessary dental work (a problem with the 3 other dentists I’ve seen in LA). He’s also a young and friendly person who is up-to-date with all the latest research and technology to make visiting the dentist as painless as possible. The office is conveniently located off the 110 and has a really nice waiting room (no old, idiotic magazine subscriptions here!) and friendly receptionists. Silva is my dental hygienist and she is excellent–thorough, sensitive to my comfort, and worked quickly and efficiently. 100% recommend this place
